  1. Counter-intuitively there is no noticeable change to flatulence pitch, however, oddly, one's pïss goes bright green.
  2. Not if it involves being filled with helium from behind.
  3. I have won the day 383 times, almost exclusively off-topic posts in the DOI, something I'm rather embarrassed about. I would personally prefer for off-topic posts not to garner statistics, after all, this is a site specifically for the discussion of bass. There should, of course, be an off-topic section but the fact that I have won the day so often for making funny posts on a obscure branch of off-topic when there are hundreds of expert bass players sharing priceless information seems faintly ridiculous to me.
  4. Actually I really do... ...wop de woodle wop, do wop, etc.
  5. Actually it's me. I work for Spotify under the moniker of Genre and Subgenre Nomenclature Officer. The criteria used are me chucking darts at dictionary pages. Smooth Wotocheshede Tech Slam is next in line for a nanosecond of fame, blink and you'll miss it.
  6. I've moved on the two Rob Allen basses and now exclusively play two @Jabba_the_gut basses, they are perfect for the music we play so they get gigged.
  7. I know two bass players who have instruments they gig and have also bought basses as an investment, they are both most definitely bass players.
  8. I almost saw Shrodinger's point whilst fulfilling his axioms but thankfully I was arrested before it became a classical paradox.
  9. Thus in contemporary quantum theory it seems that the world must be divided into a wavy "quantum system," and a remainder which is in some sense "classical." The division is made one way or another, in a particular application, according to the degree of accuracy and completeness aimed at. For me it is the indispensability, and above all the shiftiness, of such a division that is the big surprise of quantum mechanics. It introduces an essential ambiguity into fundamental physical theory, if only at a level of accuracy and completeness beyond any required in practice. It is the toleration of such an ambiguity, not merely provisionally but permanently, and at the most fundamental level, that is the real break with the classical ideal. It is this rather than the failure of any particular concept such as "particle" or "determinism." In the remainder of this essay I will outline a number of world views with physicists have entertained in trying to digest this situation. Drives me effin' mental that one.

  11. Come on Lozz, it's got to be Motördad, it just doesn't work without the RnR umlaut.
  12. Yes, you can just rock up, then it's just a 50/50 chance of either getting excellent customer service or being treated like a feckin' idiot. Best of luck.
  13. An extremely exciting seventeen minutes of brilliance...
  14. I hear Andy's setup tutorials are good enough for anyone, even Guy.
  15. @Jabba_the_gut fretted and fretless > Effectrode PC-2A > Grace Design Alix > QSC K12.2 The Alix into the QSC is sublime for semi-hollow basses like @Jabba_the_gut builds, it also sounds equally sublime with an upright bass. For the music I play it's the perfect rig.
  16. Paging @Andyjr1515
  17. No, it isn't a novelty bass at all, by far the easiest to play bass I ever had and they sound great. I totally regret selling mine and am seriously considering this one.
