  1. I very much regret not attending this year, I will definitely be at the next one!
  2. I much preferred it when it was a heroin based Bash.
  3. Overrated: Personal opinions. Underrated: Objectivity.
  4. The greatest film of a live show of all time, oddly enough the only other live show film that gets near it is the brilliant American Utopia by David Byrne.
  5. Has no one paged @Andyjr1515? I would page @Jabba_the_gut only he's busy building a bass for me, oh, too late.
  6. There will be room.
  7. TinyTone. Superb service and products (I believe they are the same as Jack's mentioned by @Dan Dare above).
  8. I've been listening to this on repeat for about a week when in the car, deceptively easy bass line but full of subtle little changes whilst still maintaining a massive groove. Carlton and Family Man, no one would have heard of Bob Marley if it weren't for them, one of the greatest rhythm sections of all time and all genres.
  9. Check in with @scrumpymike, he can recommend good ale and curry houses.
  10. Strings Direct. Naturally I'm biased, they are about three miles from me and I've always had excellent service.
  11. Just sold a Fender Mustang to @Dave808. Lovely easy transaction, great comms, speedy payment, excellent fellow, deal with confidence. Naturally Dave is awarded the Frank Blank Seal of Approval...
  12. ***SOLD*** - BLACK FENDER JMJ MUSTANG £900 Purchased from @Brucegill on 7th August, it was love at first play with this bass. As you probably already know these basses are sublime, easy to play, sound amazing, incredible neck, and so on and so forth. So, if it is such a great bass, why am I selling it? Well, I play in an acoustic duo and I already have two semi-hollow @Jabba_the_gut basses that suit our musical needs like a glove and yet, I still have this notion that there is a solid bodied bass out there that'll fit in with our sound. (In all honesty I don't think there is but it sounds like a good excuse rather than saying GAS). I'm waffling. So, the bass is strung with glorious La Bella 760F-MUS stainless steel flats, the price also includes a Fender gig bag and three more scratchplates. As well as the black one that's on it... the original white pearloid 4 ply brown celluloid from TinyTone 4 ply red celluloid from TinyTone ...the last two scratchplates cost just over £100 and are pristine, I bought them after I purchased the bass and they are band new (see last pic above). The tug bar is missing in the pics above but I have just put it back on. The price is firm as I just want to recoup what I paid for it and you get £100 of scratchplates thrown in essentially for free. You are welcome to come and try the bass out or I am happy to drive it to you (within reason) or meet up half-way. Obviously I'd rather not risk a courier and will drive a significant distance to avoid this but will post if there is no alternative. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions or request more pics. Here is my Mustang NBD thread. Here is @Brucegill's original advert that has somemore pics.
  13. Another vote for Tiny Tone here...
  14. Although not with an upright, I used a Fishman Platinum Pro with my semi-hollow acoustic basses, both of which have Piezo pickups. The Fishman is a great bit of kit, sounds lovely with Piezo instruments, if I hadn't upgraded to using a Grace Design pre I'd still be using the Fishman.
  15. Dungarees and a plate of sausage rolls will suffice you limp Hampton, however, Anna Wintour phoned to say she was looking elsewhere for this month's Vogue cover subject.
  16. I've run ads for the same item on both at the same time, it's fine.
  17. Have you posted this for sale on Guitarchat?
