All answers are helpful! Now I know the Acinonyx has a bridge problem! Are the bridges produced by Hipshot?

I'm afraid I am one of the people who was very quickly kicked off TB for questioning the orthodoxy. My bridge question was about if it was possible to get a black bridge.

Well, I have made three queries on the Nordstrand website, one about the bridge on the original and two about the fretless V2, the first of these was weeks ago, perhaps they don't want my money?

Sunday is good for me. I usually stay in a hotel the evening before and Friday evenings are the most expensive.

Not much help here on the loudness front, I play in a (mostly) acoustic duo and I play through an FRFR set up.

Well here's my 'review' of the Acinonyx. Nordstrand have just released an Acinonyx V2 that comes in a lined fretless version. I have just enquired with Nordstrand about shipping.

I was just looking at the V2 on the website wistfully wishing they did fretless when I discovered they do! Ordering one now.

Damn this sucks. I only met Norm once, at the 2019 Bash, where we chatted very briefly about a one of those crazy little Jabba basses. We only exchanged a couple of sentences but, in much the same way you can tell from just a few utterances that I'm an uncultured hooligan, you could easily discern that Norm was that rarest of things, an a actual gentleman, proper lovely with it. Damn...
