  1. I have one on board thanks.
  2. …the second instalment of the Iron Maiden bass player’s autobiography will be available next Monday from all good bookshops published by West Ham Press, £12.99.
  3. Right there, a little mouse with clogs on… Ahem, sorry, carry on.
  4. Welcome @RhythmJunky
  5. Welcome @PTSD. This is a very different place from the forum you mention in the states, I was utterly mauled on there simply for asking a couple of basic questions, it’s quite the opposite here, very friendly and massively helpful. Good luck.
  6. Welcome @Saskia
  7. Welcome @vbnd
  8. All astounding players for sure but I wonder, if they are so busy practicing, that they are perhaps missing out on the rich tapestry of experience that makes up a life well lived? After all, if you are so busy on bass you’ll have no time to stagger up to the graveyard, get pished on Buckfast and stage a sock puppet play about the Chinese occupation of Tibet then something is wrong. Unless you amass a rich smorgasbord of experience what will these empty prodigies write songs about?
  9. You have to improvise...
  10. I live four miles from Strings Direct, been in there a few times, always great service and great advice. Top notch.
  11. That’s committed, a tort forearm.
  12. Thirty-eight South Moluccan Fighting Puffins make a fortnight in Herne Bay Butlins though.
  13. I would definitely get a diagnosis from a GP before you start getting advice from a forum of bass players. Once you know what is causing your pain then the advice of other players as to how they coped with the same condition will be useful but until you know what’s causing it some advice may be wrong and potentially harmful.
  14. Agreed. I would only sell on BC, it's at best a lottery anywhere else.
  15. Just purchased a Mono Bass Sleeve. I have been looking for a decent bag or case for my 32" ACG Recurve. 32" is a difficult scale length to find cases or bags for. I tried the more expensive M80 but the bass moved significantly when the case was closed. The Bass Sleeve however holds the bass really snugly, no movement at all. The Bass Sleeve is beautifully made and perfect for this particular bass. I have another 32" bass and two more on the way, I may have found my brand!

  17. I think The Man-Machine is my favourite album but this live version of Numbers is hard to beat…
