  1. Man, I’m not saying how many times I saw Adam and the Ants, suffice to say Dirk Wears White Sox remains to this day one of my top five albums and I bet we have been in the same audience more than once!
  2. I remember liking them but there not being anything in particular that made them stand out from many other bands at the time. I liked the b. side of Unexpected Guest, a track called Dresden I seem to remember but other than that I don’t remember any of their songs despite seeing them so many times.
  3. I think I’m correct in saying Bauhaus played at The Rock Garden six times in 1979/80, none of which I attended unfortunately as I was dossing about with Killing Joke but my girlfriend at the time attended all the Rock Garden gigs as she was a big, big Bauhaus fan. The early, early Bauhaus gigs were mad but brilliant.
  4. Now that's a quality set of badges, however, the essential Crass badge is missing. See me after class.
  5. Just as a counterpoint to my earlier post, the one enthusing about selling all your gear, it's already driving me clean up the wall and I am now popping over to the marketplace... I may be sometime.
  6. The more I think about it I believe this was exactly it. I got more into the trying, buying, selling than playing. I just needed a reset I think. I also got stupidly engrossed in the daft find the perfect bass nonsense when TBH I think for 95% of us 95% of the time a basic Fender would do the job. Which is why Jabba is building me two custom jobs, ahem.
  7. Well, no band (not just because of Covid) and wasn't practicing, wasn't even picking them up so I sold up and bought some camera gear, but, having said that the two basses being built here... ...are for me so really I should qualify that it felt great to sell all my gear however, I do have two more in the pipeline, ahem.
  8. I just sold all my basses, amplification and effects, feels great!
  9. Welcome @Jamie TopGun Bass
  10. Oddly I'm listening to Nine Horses, a band including Karn's old Japan bandmates David Sylvian and Steve Jansen...
  11. Is this an experimental prototype or does it have a home already?
  12. Welcome @jordylambourne
  13. Save yourself possible years of research and get a Sandberg. https://www.sandberg-guitars.de/sandberg-configurator/
  14. Loving the dark theme, good work.
  15. (Altogether now) ...and Don't put your daughter on the stage, Mrs. Worthington Don't put your daughter on the stage
  16. I think UK Decay were the band I saw the most times by attending gigs where I wanted to see either the band they were supporting or the band supporting them. I must have seen them 15-20 times and not once in order to see them!
  17. Watched all three episodes of Steve McQueen’s documentary Uprising last night. The recounting of three real intertwined events from 1981 in the UK: the New Cross Fire, which killed 13 young black people; the Black People's Day of Action; and the Brixton riots. With testimony from those who lived these traumatic and turbulent events, the series reveals how they intertwined and defined race relations for a generation. Harrowing stuff but essential viewing.
