  1. Actually I do wonder why so many basses are churned out in the default Fender shapes, I suppose the majority of players are just used to them. I’ve not (so far) found one I liked enough to keep. I bought a Sandberg late last year but haven’t had the chance to pick it up yet, I can’t imagine it will drag me away from my Rob Allens for long! We disagree (at least me with you) on very little in reality.
  2. Smack in the balls.
  3. ‘Fraid not, I tried one about a year ago along with an Ibanez Talman and a Squier Jaguar. I just remember it being the heaviest of the three. I bought the Squier*. *which I sold after about a month because I didn’t get on with it btw.
  4. Welcome @slojo
  5. Really nice basses but I was quite surprised how heavy they are.
  6. Welcome @GrooveTubeBass
  7. Handily named as well...
  8. I think this is by far the best option.
  9. You do live in the middle of nowhere but that nowhere happens to be near where the South West Bass Bash is held where you could try out all sorts of stuff once this virus is dying down.
  10. Obviously I’m going to rock up and say this is your opportunity to ditch the trad amp/cab rig and go for an FRFR setup, best thing I ever did.
  11. Absolutely this ^. A favourite of mine, that I’ve posted before but who cares...
  12. D9016 (55 016) Gordon Highlander there. I managed to see all the class 55 Deltics, the last of which, 55 009 Alcydion eluded me for several years. Really this thread should be left to it’s When I was a kid I wanted to... subject and maybe there should be train spotting/rail enthusiast thread elsewhere..?
  13. The first named locomotive I ever saw at the beginning of my train spotting ’career’ was a class 40 pulling freight through Harlow, 40 027 Parthia.
  14. Well Bridgey is the official DOI Lyricist *salutes*
  15. Morning @Jamie Snell and welcome.
  16. Not a shame in the slightest, just part of the character and history of the wood used, I'd pay extra for pew wood.

    Welcome @Monk
  18. This is a brilliant series. I’ve watched it all twice now and I’m going to record it and watch again.
