It does sound like a fit issue to me. Maybe at the next one walk away as far as you can and see if the sound changes. Yes, with MS you can open it in personal mixer mode, you just select which buss you want to control, or can chose your Aux feed on the home screen and get the same result. Id also recommend an app called MX-Bus. This is designed just for using with monitor/IEM mixes, and doesnt get you to the main FOH screen. a bit easier to use on the flay IME.

Thats what we use. One idea is you could use the built in Amp sim on your channel of the IEM. This gives it a bit of life. My bass player DI's in to ours, and the bass sounds ok to me in my IEM's. Not spectacular, but as its a direct input with nothing as far as FX goes, its a sound I would be happy with if I was were playing bass. I'd say if the Guitars are sounding ok (and the drums?) then it could well be the fit of the IEM's or a drastic EQ making you lose the low end. Ive had occasions where my IEM mix has got drowned out by the stage volume and its sound awful, but re seating the IEM's fix it. I get a good fit, but if I shout or smile too much I find the fit can loosen a bit, and that can let too much noise in.

Please tell him I am patiently waiting for his GP-50 review 😂

I can see a difference if I look close enough, but I never thought I needed to. Surprised they managed to print the name on them but I didnt even know it was there until I decide to look for it last night. So the IE100's (clear) are a little less transparent compared to the clear IE400 Even worse, she stopped using them about 6 months ago (I didnt know this), because one of he foam tips ripped off and she assumed they were special fits so she brought a £20 set of those nasty Chinese ones (not KZ's), and has been using them. So my IE400's were disgarged.

Ive been eyeing up the GP-100 for a while, but i don’t want anything that has an expression pedal making it larger. The GP-50 looks ideal. I use my GP-5 all the time now, but do sometimes wish i could make small tweaks on the fly without needing my phone.

Apparently yes. Same bit rate/quality etc, although a slight increase in dynamic range i believe.

OMG, this is crazy. As i said recently, ive used my singer’s IE100 pro’s for a bit. I really like them. I was just putting them way and realised i wasnt sure which is which, they both look similar. My IE400’s have more worn tips from using them more, her’s tips are newer that i put on a while ago. I noticed one has a more transparent case as well. Looking closely at ‘mine’, using a magnifying app on my phone, i was shocked to see IE100 on them. So it seems ive been using IE100’s for months, well over a year at least, and she has had my IE400’s 😂. Now i know why i liked her’s so much. Bloody hell 🙄

So who's upgrading to the GP-50? Already placed my pre order in.
-
Yeah, saw that, thanks. Strangely Amazon are now showing out of stock with no option to purchase. I have about £60 balance with them so that was the reason i went with Amazon. If other places get stock in before i get the order I’ll cancel and use somewhere else.
-
Yeah, although 4 hours wouldn’t get me through a rehearsal. Hoping it will work with the Chocolate plus.
-
Ordered from Amazon for £109. No idea how long the wait is but it's exactly what I feel the GP-5 is missing.
-
Yeah, thats the same video i watched before doing it.
-
Id still love to try the Tone X one, but it seems more hassle and expense to get the Chocolate Plus working with it.
-
Oh yeah, not knocking them as such, just wish they had a few more options.
-
Agree, the Modulation effects are very limited.
-
Yeah, to me that’s way too expensive for what it is.
-
I couldn’t find one on Amazon for a decent price. All the normal priced ones said i was outside of the delivery zone (central london). I’m not sure why they are on Amazon UK if that’s the case.
-
I got mine off Aliexpress and Temu (got two, long story). Arrived within a week and cost about £20 each. I couldn't find anywhere in the UK that sold them at a reasonable price.

It’s really easy. Took me less than 5 mins to do mine. i have drive on and off, modulation on and off, patch up and patch down. The only reason i change patches is because you can only have one type of modulation in a patch. Sometimes i want chorus, sometimes phaser. its a well thought out system. You just assign a pair of midi numbers to each foot switch. Maybe I’m missing something but I’ve had to assign a number to turn it on, and a number to turn it off for each foot switch. Easy enough to do. You can also set each switch to turn multiple blocks on and off. I have the eq block also come on when i use modulation, with a bit of low end reduction and overall level down slightly. the good thing is, becuse you are using midi CC numbers these wok across all the patches, so you you don’t have to set each one up. In fact i let my guitarist (who has just got a GP-5) use my chocolate at the last rehearsal and nothing needed adjusting for it to work. If the chocolate is powered (USB phone charger is fine), it will also power the GP-5 which is also cool.

Thanks for posting that. Looks like a really good move. Will definitely look in to this in the new year. As it happens I’ve been using my singers IE100 pro’s (with my comply foam tips) for the last two gigs. They seem to be a slightly different fit, but enough to fit a bit more securely than my IE400. I’m not giving up on the 400, as they have a slightly better sound for me, but i started to find they would come a bit loose if i smiled or shouted across the stage (2 things i try not do 😎). The 100’s don’t dislodge quite as easy. Sounds like a good reason to go custom, but now it’s for which pair.

Can't watch anything that has him in it. Totally hate his personality and style. Probably a really great guy. Seems a bit of a Karen to me though.

Ive had the B2-Four 3 times now. It's really nice, and the only reason I dont have one now is it started very quickly to be a distraction, always tweaking things etc. Also I got turned on to IR's and these work better for me than the Zoom stuff at home. Ive still got a MB-60 and B1-Four, but never use them. I did have the B3n years ago. Ive also had the MB-60+ twice, but got rid of them for the same reasons above. One thing I can say about the newer versions are they do sound better. A bit cleaner and more open than the old ones. The different DI Outs on the B2-Four actually make a difference, and I found I was just that feature for a bit. Ultimately I find all these boxes seem to have a bit of sparkle missing when I use headphones, but not so much when using an amp. Im an iOS user but have never bothered with the app, other than a customary look when I got the first B2-Four. Im more a hands on guy, and I feel I need to know what's what with my gear in case im at a gig or can't use the app to make adjustments. I found the B2-Four really simple to use one I figured out what does what and where to find things. I like the extra foot switches on the B2-Four, I think they make for a more versatile pedal, especially live once you get the hang of them.
