  1. No, not on the HX. You can do the global EQ/LPF/HPF thing on the Stomp, but the HX lacks this feature.
  2. Mark Bass used to insist on putting one on Most of their heads years ago, but dropped it when they realised hardly anyone ever uses it. I think it’s more for upright players who use pre amps.
  3. It may be soon 🙂. Oh, and if you do want to borrow my MB800 you’re welcome to it for a few weeks
  4. Have you considered the Ashdown OriginAL head? it looks pants, but when i compared it to my Rumble, and mates MB Little Mark Vintage (through his cabs and my CN212 the Ashdown had so much punch and body to it i was a bit of a shock. Then again the MB was very disappointing as well. in fact my mate sent it back
  5. Pretty much how ive always used MB heads (ive had 3). I have used a preamp in front though. Ive messed about with amps quite a bit over the past few years, and have come to the conclusion that (in my case) the cab makes much more of a difference.
  6. I’d love to try a MB Fusion. I had the 800 watt version fort two hours. It arrived from Thomann’s damaged so got sent straight back without me even plugging it in. I regret being so hasty. I did look in to getting one earlier this year but prices seemed too close to the newer Legacy heads (not the fusion version) so went that route...and ended up sending that (actually 3) back. I just love the from factor of the MB heads. So small and powerful.
  7. Just to close this down. I emailed Hipshot the above link and they very, very kindly sent me a set of the correct ones free of charge. Amazing service.
  8. Some of the heads ive had recently. Still got all these other than the Legacy, which i felt i just didnt need.
  9. I wish you would stop going on about this amp, i get GAS every time its mentioned 😉
  10. For me its my Fender Rumble 800 HD head. Its not perfect overall, but it has more things i like and hardly anything ill never use. I like it so much that i put it up for sale and then withdrew it. I am torn between this and my MB800, which is noticeably smaller and has a punchier tone, but for now ill stick with the Fender.
  11. Ive got the red version of this and its by far my fav MB head. I really must get more use out of it. GLWTS.
  12. To be honest I’m not going any further with this. If everything else works ok, even my G30, then i don’t want anything that needs extra hardware to do the same job. Ill chalk this up to a faulty unit. The Cioks is no slouch when it comes to powering 7 pedals. If that cant handle it I’m out.
  13. Ah ok thanks. I had said earlier in the thread that i was getting a high pitched whine with my Ciok’s, so that seems to indicate even an isolated PSU isnt going to work in this case.
  14. Judging by the many threads on here about them i guess there are plenty of people with experience of this system 😉
  15. And makes me want to buy one now (well, not really, but yeah, if i could). I have to say how much im enjoying my Beocs, and mainly for the visual feedback from the meter. Ive had Comps before with meters but never really understood them. This one seems to make getting the effect i want so much easier. I could well be looking at moving up one notch soon and get the Stella 😉
  16. Even Chris at Smooth hound said there shouldn't be any real issues, even with the SH PSU
  17. im not very technically minded, but is that different from using an isolated supply like my Cioks?
  18. Thanks. All i wanted was a small wireless system that doesn't need anything special to work with it, just like my Line 6 G30. Ive not read of any others having this issue when using it on a pedal board, although maybe they are using a separate PSU just for that one device.
  19. Looks like there might be a fault with the SH, as there is a fainter, but audible high pitch whine even with my Cioks DC-5.
  20. Cheers guys. I've got the reverse adapter. The SH works fine on its own with the 1 Spot, as it does with any of my power supplies. It’s when I try and split the power with other pedals that I’m having an issue. A very loud hum. Becos works with other pedals using the same PSU, inc my Line6 G30.
  21. I’m looking to power just a Smothhound wireless and Becos comp. I was hoping i could do this with my 1 Spot wall wart. It works as far as powering but i get a huge ground loop. Was thinking of the Palmer PWT-04, which is just under £50 on Amazon. Will this work?, anything smaller?. Cheers.
