  1. Can anyone tell me if the foot switches on the Helix Effects are the same distance apart as the Stomp? My large feet keep hitting two at once on my Stomp, just wonder if the Effects will be the same, as im considering getting that to replace the Stomp.
  2. Well as you know, i have no issue with that 😎
  3. True, but if i don't like it i can get 100% back if brought over here. Ive never had faulty equipment from abroad, other than Thomann's, but i can imagine its not a 5 day fix if you have to go through PP etc.
  4. Im not one to wait, so i might meet halfway and pre order from G4M for £349, expected delivery 8-12 Nov.
  5. In the past Andertons always seemed to be first with pre orders, but always at full price.
  6. Its rock 'n' roll innit? How much more Black can it be........
  7. Yes, i posted this (from GAK) in the other Helix thread. There is also a blue version out there as well. Prefer Black though.
  8. Pretty sure this has been posted before, but its too good to not post again. Shame about the audio being low.
  9. Thats what happens when you flash your donkey on live TV (her, not you lol)
  10. Oh yeah, i forgot i had one of those. Loved it, but found it painful to play for too long.
  11. I use these all the time at home, and i'd agree with the above statement. I got a pair of Ashdown Meteors for Christmas, was recommended them and they were on off at HMV. Cant stand them. Too boomy to the point of swamping the low notes, and thats without the EQ on. The HD25's by comparison seem very clear and handle low notes very well.
  12. Ive had a couple of Lakland Duck Dunn's, a DJ5 and a MM Sire V7. Never bothered me who's name was on it, i went for the specs and look.
  13. Yes. At the moment, at home, i use the BDDI, sometimes with an IR. I also have the BDDI programmed in to all the patches, but not on. So far with the BB800 i dont feel the need for it. I have used the Stomp with the BDDI and it sounded great. I cant think of a time i would want to use one of the proper Amp sims.
  14. No, ive asked about that as well. When you drop a new effect in it always seems to default to the stock settings. I ended up having one patch with 6 of the effects im most likely to use, all tweaked, and i can just copy and paste these in to the relevant Patches if and when i need to. Its probably easier to use HX Edit if you are just doing it at home. EDIT: Just noticed this is what LukeFRC was talking about doing.
  15. Im doing it on the fly at rehearsals at the moment. No point in tweaking at home as it never translates to how it sounds with the band playing. I know how to copy and past blocks, its easy to do, but i have a couple of blocks set up so one goes on, one goes off from one foot switch. Im pretty quick with the Stomp, ive made a point of not relying on the software as i know ill never have it with me, but its still a bit of a pain copying things between patches. If i decide i want to change, say the OD pedal to another variation, it takes longer to transfer this to the other patches. Its really just a time thing. I dont like to keep fiddling with things and holding the band up. Not the end of the world, but i cant help feel the Effects will be easier for me. Im not using any amp sims live anyway, im using the Stomp pretty much as a pedal board anyway.

  17. Pretty sure im going to change my Stomp for the Effects soon. I have a core set of blocks, with a different effect at the end fo each patch. Live its fine, but re programming each patch (4) every time i want to change, say the drive or boost, is quite time consuming. For me it would be better to have everything in one patch, all laid out.
  18. I asked Tim over on Talkbass if he had the raw files, without the backing tracks. He said he did and was going to try and post them at some point.
  19. Id get the Helix Stomp. It has a BDDI in it, as well as numerous drives/comps etc. It also has a lot of EQ options, should you need that. Handy to tame the OD's when using IEM's.
  20. Technically no. I sold the BDDI v1 and got the v2, and then the programable (which i had also had before). Ive only used the PBDDI once, as i much prefer the v2. Shame Line6 didnt use that version in the Helix.
  21. I'm sure this is old news to some , but ive just come across a red version of the Stomp. Ive also seen it in Blue. https://www.gak.co.uk/en/line-6-hx-stomp-helix-multi-fx-processor-pedal-red/930870?gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=CjwKCAjw3c_tBRA4EiwAICs8Cl5UvDsGY9kRh1mdkc72coTIpDdZ7iHx_0W4es-Hl2qOyu_gNBVyFBoCfqEQAvD_BwE
  22. Haha, the Q/strip was a one off......as was the BDDI.......😀
