Ive never used the Fusion line either, but i know a few people that have them. I know they arent as sophisticated as the new Legacy S line, but sometimes i find all those EQ bells and whistles are a bit wasted. The new Legacy S line is bound to sound better though. £150 cheaper and I'd be tempted, as i love my MB heads but could do with a bit more.

That more or less describes the MB Fusion 800 head as well, without much of the extra EQ options

That's cool, we all like different things. Ive read through the TB thread where the designer has loads of posts. It does seem like its not quite coloured enough for me. After the Quilter 'incident' I think I want something less neutral and flat

I would be worried about the 212 running at quite high volume moving across the stage.

TC Electronics Spark booster gets my vote. Its like the Mojomojo with the blanket removed. Very natural open drive, runs off battery and doesn't change the tone too much. Waaaaay cheaper than the usual boutique pedals mentioned.

Just remember not all P basses sound the same anyway, its a case of use your ears to see if you like it. A change of string can make much more difference than having a second pup on the bass and not using it.

I think some Low and high knobs on amps are shelving filters. Not sure if that adds anything to the discussion though.

Yeah, turns out he just sent me the store link to show me the bass. He has seen one on eBay for £390 in mint condition, inc delivery.

In my defence I'd like to state that i have no will power. It's a medical condition and ill try and get a note from my GP 🙂 I'm happy that i got the new head though. It wasnt a GAS thing at all, it is defiantly a need issue. I just couldn't fit my larger head in to the gig bag. Yeah, i could have brought a larger gig bag, but then........

What do you guys think of the Yamaha RBX5A2 5-String? Asking for a mate who has seen one in the Yamaha shop for £640.

I had Bart's in my old Lakland 55-01. Pretty sure they were MK1's. Quite boring pups, although very much usable.

The B1on is a smaller B3, as in both use the older engine. The B1 Four shares the same quality as the B3n. Either are more than up to the job for home/headphone practice, but if it was me (and it was), id get the B1 four as its much easier to use.

My Stomp will be sold before my B1 Four will. I only use my Stomp at home, and id happily go back to using the B1 Four for headphone practice if i had to.

I have a B1on, and used it a lot for playing at home. I then got a B1 Four and not used the B1on since. Then i got a Stomp and not used either, but the B1 has a huge advantage in that it runs off batteries. For that reason im keeping the Four.

Yeah, as i found out. Ive played a whole set with it before, no issues, but i dont often wander past the 12th fret expect for that song.
