  1. Cheers. The reason i probably wont use the bag is i can fit this, and all my cables in to a nice padded camera bag. Im coming form a GK MB800 which is also very small.
  2. I had a similar experience recently with my Helix Stomp going in to the power stage of my GK head. Noticeably quieter than going in to the preamp. My output setting on the Stomp was set to Instrument, which i guess is the standard stomp pedal level. Changing to Line level brought the volume level back up to a much more usable level. Unfortunately you cant do this change this on the BDI21. Did you try both XLR and normal out? Although i have this pedal ive not used it in years so cant remember if there is a difference.
  3. Exactly what i use as well. Nice to be a bit future proof when it comes to pedal GAS though.
  4. My BB800 just arrived from Thomanns.. Perfect condition. Very happy. Ill get to try it out tomorrow night with my F112. I dont plan on using the little bag but was surprised to see a a fitted foam bottom in it. Very nice touch.
  5. Ive owned, and loved both a HW-1 and HW-One. Both great basses, but for the money they go for second-hand id question if it has to be a HW1. Ive seen these go for more than they cost new, and im note sure why this is. There isnt really anything amazing about them IME. Good workhorse basses yes,
  6. First time I've seen another Markbass F1 in red. Love mine, although these days I don't use it.
  7. I agree about the bridges on the lower end basses. I look at the one on my 425 and it just shouts 'cheap bass'. It works fine of course, but compared to the lovely bridges on the 734/5 and P series it looks poor. Seeing as the latest Yamaha's use standard sized pickups i would have assumed a standard 5 sting bridge would also work ok.
  8. Does this bass have a bridge where you can rotate the saddles to give a clearer attack? I know you can with the B sting but not sure about the other saddles.
  9. On a more serious note, my band has just started to do this song. Never heard it before it was suggested. Not a fan of the artist but i really like playing it.
  10. I assume that's a week off over Christmas 🙂
  11. I recently came in to the possession of a lovely Fearless F112. I cant fault it but i have found the handle hurts my hand if im carrying it too far (up and down stairs etc) So i got a pair (only need one though) of these Crutch handle covers. Fits just perfectly and makes life a bit easier. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DPL3Q33/ref=pe_3187911_189395841_TE_dp_1
  12. Wow, your'e right, it wasn't reversed. Wonder why I thought that. Glad to see it had some use.
  13. Another short clip. Quite like the tone in this one.
  14. I had a Skyline DJ5 that i got modded in to a PJ. I put in a set of Nordstrand pups (reverse P). Never really liked it before or after the mod but that was just a personal taste.
  15. No problem. I was going to get a BB802 but when I saw the BB800 for this price it was a no brainier. Not worried if it's got a few marks on it, and it still has full 12 month warranty.
  16. Ive just ordered a B-stock Quilter BB800 from Thomanns for £425. They have a couple left at that price.
  17. No problem, thanks for looking in to it. Now go and enjoy your new toy 🙂
  18. Thanks for trying all that. It does sound very promising and definitely food for thought.
  19. Please don’t lol. I’d need a stereo feed to the headphones, a short cable will work for that, and the ability to pass a stereo signal from my iPad though unaffected.
  20. If the Effects had headphone out I’d be swapping over to it today, now I realise I could make more use of the extra foot switches. I use my Stomp almost everyday at home for headphone practice, and I can’t give that up. It’s overkill for that use, but combined with the live use it’s almost perfect.
  21. Damn. After writing the above I’ve now got a bit of GAS for the Effects. As I’ve just downsized my amp I’d have room for it in my bag.
  22. Difficult to say really. I went for the Stomp for the size more than anything else. I’d have loved the FX as I dont need the amp sims, but it’s much larger than i care for. I like that I have the amp sims if needed but do miss having more footswitches. Personally I don't think you are missing out on anything at the moment, assuming you can make use of more than 3 foot switches, and there is enough in the FX to still allow you to go direct to the desk. Like you say, you still have preamps like the BDDI, which were designed for this sort of thing anyway.
