Yea,h its definitely not a deal breaker for me, as long as it has an interesting line up of effects. Its the first Fly Rig with a name attached that i actually recognise. I had to go off and Google the others. . The blue one looks amazing.
-
Same here. It was the big logo that stopped me buying a SH P bass a few years ago. Bloody ugly thing to have on there, although I get why it’s there.
-
Just a one known comp in this head.
-
NEVER!!!! 🙂
-
Cant wait to buy this off you lol.

As soon as i saw that i had to run to the hills........ Ive wanted one of these Flyrig things for a while, but never found the right combination of effects. Ill keep an eye on this one.

Yaaaay, go pick players 🙂 Love DOA as well so both thumbs up from me. Let me know when your next at the Hop Poles.

As the old saying goes, Jamerson never needed a 5th/6th/7th string, nor did he need a short scale or extra long scale, nor an active bass, nor a custom built boutique bass etc etc....... but I bet he could make all that sound better than I can lol.
-
Cheers, I don’t think I do, but if there is a reason, I think it’s obvious...I play a Fender......🤔
-
I don’t have anything to offer with the current lineup, but this was from a freebie charity gig last year. Our current drummer is here on backing vocals as he hadn’t rejoined at this point.

Do you ever feel you sound like cr*p?!

Yeah, same here. Thats why i cant wait to get through the gig/rehearsals, and then listen back and appreciate my skill the next day lol. Unfortunately this also involved hearing all the mistakes the others make, i get wound up. -
Ok. i dont go reading all the threads on here, especially ones that dont interest me so i guess i missed it, silly me lol. What i can tell you is i ran a 2x12 with just one speaker in it for 3 gigs, and had no issues other than i was (and had to be) a bit quieter. It was that or be totally silent with no cab lol. I know its not how it should be done, but sometimes in an emergency you have to adapt and overcome. It was just an idea.
-
Well my second load of rubish was going to be what about ripping the cone material off the driver, so it doesnt make a rasping noise etc. Does that keep the impedance correct? I know the cab will be one speaker down but will it make a real world difference unless the head is pushed really hard? Again, i have no idea what im talking about but in the OP's situation i would give something a go.
-
Im probably talking rubbish here but cant the offending driver just be disconnected until a replacement driver can be found?
-
Thought it was just a 'grey area' 😂

I agree about the bass type. my P34 doesn't quite sound like a Fender P, and has a bit of that Jazz vibe going on so maybe that does work better. @OsirisI forgot to add that my setting included those Grunt/Attack things both set to flat. I didn't want much, or any tone shifting other than getting a bit dirtier. As far as the BDDI sim goes, i find its as good as the MK1 version but lacks the mid control of my MK2. Plenty of options in the Stomp to bring that back though.
-
Ive actually just stopped using it and have replaced the B7K with the BDDI Sim. This seems to get me back to my old tone, but with the Fearless F112 adding extra clarity that i couldn't get before. The only downside is i dont think the BDDI does dirt as well as the Bk7, but i dont want to end up using both, so i have the BDDI on a FS with added Drive (going up from 6 to 7.5) and slightly lower level.. I like the idea of my basic tone, but with dirt added, rather than using something that will change the tone as well. M y setting for the Distortion in the B7k was just Drive on 5, mix/blend on 6 (this made the most difference)and the rest pretty much as it comes. I did play with with taking out the EQ and that too sounded good, but my goal was just to dirty up my base tone, rather than have an obviously distorted tone.
-
This is what i do for live playing. I did have the DG B7k programmed as my base tone for each patch, always on so no foot switch assigned to it. I then have foot switch 1 set to turn the distortion part of this on and off. Foot switch 2 has Chorus as i tend to use that quite often, and Foot switch 3 of each patch has a different effect.

I’m like that. Quite often go home deflated and straight on here to look for new gear, but the next day when i listen back to the recording i tend to feel different. Also same she playing at home. Some nights I can sit for hours playing, and other nights with the same settings etc I can’t get in to it at all......one or two rum and cokes seem to make things sound and feel a lot better though.. -

Now I can finally ad something to this thread. I’m now the new owner of @Al Krow’s Fearless F112. Very grateful to him for helping me out getting one so quick;y. 3 month wait? Nah. 4 days? That I could just manage lol. It was either this or another BB2, and after the things Ive said about the BB2 I used to own we both knew it was the wrong move. I needed a one hand life cab, that could of handle Social clubs and pubs without PA support, and of course sounds good. My TCE RS212 ticks some boxes but not enough, and as its a two hand life I found i was t taking it to rehearsals, which wasn’t a good idea. This new cab will go everywhere with me. Not the lightest, but light enough to carry with one hand. Cant wait for the next rehearsal, and more so the up coming gigs. -
Ironically I have one still in its its box at work. Ill never use it as I don’t have room for these sort of cases. Cant sell it though as it came with the bass.
-
Always full up for me as well. If I sound check with a certain level I want to know it will stay like that. Too much room for error if I don’t have the volume knob set to somewhere it won’t move. I have other ways of getting louder and softer.
