  1. Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase 'knob rash' lol.
  2. Might have to wait until tomorrow night’s rehearsal. I’m using headphones at home and the signal is cutting out when in bypass mode. I assume this is normal.
  3. Will do. Ive always preferred ‘pretend’ bypass a lot less hassle in the past. Each has its pros and cons but Ive found (personally) true bypass has that one con that I find annoying.
  4. I’ll test mine later but is this when going true bypass? Ive always found this type of bypass to give clicks and thuds whenever I use it with other pedals.
  5. Just another routine night down the Legion then lol.
  6. Thanks. I did realise there were other things in place, like input impedance etc, but wasn’t sure how to put it in full bypass. Useful to know. I was just reading a post over on TB about this as well, and it seems there is definitely a bit more to this than meets the eye.
  7. Probably scraping the barrel here, but Sticky Vicky anyone?
  8. Am i right in thinking that will all blocks off im getting the true unaffected signal (assume Global FX are flat as well)?
  9. Even more strange is im fine with my Jazz bass, so its not that the neck is too narrow per say, just that it seems to fall in between the P and Jazz necks that im used to, coupled with the slightly higher frets. Im sure i can get used to it, but maybe i need to practice more standing up. Still getting rid of it at some point though, but maybe not just yet.
  10. I love them so far. Very, very similar to the XL’s. Ive not got a fresh set of XL’s to compare them to, but they don’t sound too different to the ones I took off. if they last a bit longer than the XL’s then I’ll be happy. Never really liked the NYXL’s
  11. Ive got D’Addario XL’s balanced tension with a .130 B on my 425, and a set of the new XT’s on my P34.
  12. ah, I’ve cracked it. Ive realised its not the frets, Its just the overall neck shape and size. See I realised with my P Bass my hand cups the back of the neck, it fits like a glove, so my fingers are free to move without my whole hand moving. With the P34 being a bit narrower my hand extends further away and so my fingers need to be curled a bit more, and the hand is more floating rather than cupping the neck. Some would say bad technique, and I’d probably agree, but it’s how I play. Its still a fast neck, but when I’m standing my fingers are curled even more. That’s where the lack of comfort is coming from. this also accounts for why I like playing 5 string, as the neck is a bit wider, but the sting spacing is normally narrower. Got a gig on Sat and I’ll take the P34. Might as well get a proper gig out of it before it goes.
  13. Cheers. It does look pretty cool in that photo. I’ll keep an eye on this one.
  14. I promise you, I will never sell it. Partly because it can never really be replaced later on. These are a very limited edition.
  15. Just read that Jack Bates from the smashing pumpkins has taken delivery of a P34. Wonder how he will get on with it. I know he loves his current bass 😉
  16. Can someone enlighten me about this possible purchase lol.
  17. So from one type of C to another then lol.
  18. Had tickets to go see them at Hammersmith but it got cancelled on the day IIR. Ive seen the video of that FFF gig. Quite a funny sight to see.
  19. Tove Lo likes to ‘get ‘em out’ at most of her gigs. I have no objection to this 😊
  20. Thanks, I got that link from earlier in the thread, and yes, there are some good examples of splitting the chain.
  21. I had thought about taping it up, but seeing as I’ll never need to use anything other than a uk 3 pin outlet I’ll never need to take it apart again. Would prefer a smaller one though (as she said...never lol)
  22. Front for me as well, although I don’t really care either way when playing. Its more about when putting the bass on a floor stand, don’t want to go and knock my transmitter off.
  23. Still loving my Stomp. Its making life more complicated as I’m forever jumping,on switches now, but it’s good fun. 2 questions. When using an amp sim, or rig sim, where you do put it? My mind thinks at the end, just like pedals in to a rig. Is this what most do? I must admit ive not got in to splitting the chain yet, my needs are quite modest at the moment. The second is, does anyone use a different PSU, but still in stand alone mode and not a pedal board? I could do with something slightly smaller, and something that doesn’t fall apart when I unplug it from the wall (Might superglue it together)
