  1. Yes, you will find that there’re are so many shared features within the Sire range that it can get a bit ‘samey’. Almost all have the same preamp and bridge, and many have the newer rolled edge necks.
  2. This volume jump is what put me off getting the Tonehammer. I ended up going for the COG Kinghtfall 66. Although the two channels share a common tone/EQ section each has its own drive and level knobs. It works really well as an always on warming tone, and then kicking in the other channel with more drive, but without changing the tone or level (unless you want to).
  3. I think my post above answered that 😉
  4. Once you start daisy chining you might as well have a pedal board. Ive got a 1Spot and a 5 way splitter so plenty of options.
  5. Cant comment on this bass, but when i had a Gen2 P7 with the rolled edge fingerboard it felt very comfortable, and nicer than my Gen 1 V7. Could be my style of fretting, i tend to grip the neck (maybe i shouldn't), but the P7 felt less sharp, and so more comfortable. Definitely something i would prefer on all my basses, although not a deal breaker if not.
  6. Ive had a few DG pedals, never really got on with them. I found them to be good for some stuff but not at the just breaking up stuff. At least, not without sounding a bit dark to my ears. The Mojomojo seems like a good first port of call, before moving on the more more expensive stuff. You can borrow mine if you want to try it.
  7. Mine 'should' be here tomorrow as well, but it wont as its going to my work address and we dont open at the weekend. So Monday for me.
  8. I have a very nice Cioks DC-5, and a One Spot (amongst others) so its not that i dont have the power already, i just don't want the extra to carry around. I agree, having to change batteries can be a pain, but im not gigging much anyway. If i start to gig more regularly then ill probably get the Pedaltrain back out. Fro now its more about rehearsals and travelling as light as possible.
  9. Its probably just a phase I’m going through. Ive used a Line6 G30 for years, so have always had to plug that extra PSU in. Not a problem at all. Then I got a pedal board to put it on and all hell broke loose. I was buying pedals almost every week to put on there, then got a larger one within 4 months. I’m trying to go pedal free, but do want to use a filter (MXR) and one other dirt/OD box (not 7 pedals that are still on my board), although i don’t really need it as such. I want everything to fit in the amp bag, as I normally get the train to and from rehearsals, so bass, and one bag is all i want to take.
  10. I have a COG Knightfall 66 which i love, but never use as I’m really trying to stay battery powered (other than the amp). I expect i will use it again, when i use my pedal board. What i love about the COG is its two channels, both sharing the EQ but with different gain and level control. Really, this is perfect for me other than the power supply. One reason i recently got a programable BDDI, as i can have a good tone, and then more of the good tone with drive, but found i prefer my BDDI V2 tone to the old style BDDI. The problem with me is i buy gear looking for a certain tone, but quickly decide i dont want that tone and really want something else. I have a few nice pedals that are more than up to the job, but none are battery powered. If i start using mains again ill end up using my pedal board, and i dont want that as i want things a lot more simple.
  11. I wonder who will be first to put theirs in the classifieds lol. Mines arriving Monday (went for the cheapest delivery option), and i have a rehearsal on Tuesday so hoping for good things.
  12. Nah, you were calling me out personally over this. It really doesn't bother me what you think, but dont deny it. You made two comments that had a tone to them, directed at me personally, and then its me being sarcastic lol. And asking me if i have shares in Amazon sounds a bit sarcastic to me. Wonder where the post about me starting this thread went 🙄
  13. Only thing i can think of right now is we were in a different room, and one that is next to the main reception area. Could be the wifi is stronger there. Back to our old room on Tuesday so ill keep an eye on it.
  14. Agreed, but im still confused as to why this one time only. I tend to plug mine in last, and always do a rescan before (at rehearsals anyway), once his are on.
  15. Well at this price if i dont like it my son can have it for his guitar. Ironically i have a drawer full of OD's that ive brought over the past 2 years. Some of them very well respected, but i seem to always go back to using a BDDI (of which i have two). Now ive got a new bass that doesnt see to need that 'sansamp' tone, but i need some dirt still, and have also given up using main powered effects for now. I could get away with not using any, but with effects like these it seems once you start there is no way of getting away from them lol.
  16. Well in all fairness ive been running wireless for over 15 years, as have most of the guitarists ive played with, and we have never had any real issues. I think the issue is more these cheap bug systems that are as robust as even the Line6 stuff, and with no way to adjust them.
  17. I just mean we weren't coming out of each others rigs, what was going on behind the scene is a mystery as neither systems display that info. its been working fine for both of us, even at a gig on a very small stage, but on Tuesday something must have changed.
  18. You can share them in the B1-Four Patch ideas thread on here.
  19. Its not even my thread and you're attacking me for that now. Your posts are sooooo valid though, keep them up 🙄
  20. If you could possibly understand any of my posts ive already said i work for a small printing company, and use Amazon a lot. What’s so hard to understand?
  21. As opposed to getting it between next Mon-Wed. I think Thats worth paying £1.50 extra for IMO, especially as it will be delivered by courier and not just posted.
  22. if you want something quickly then it stands to reason you pay a bit more. For the causal buyer maybe Prime isnt the way to go, but i make 100-200 orders a year with Amazon, and always use Prime next day delivery. If i was to do that without Prime it would cost a hell of a lot more. You also get Prime TV, Amazon music (not the full blown version though), and Prime Now included in the cost.
  23. Cheers DB, yep, full sized one seems much more useful. EDIT: Also thanks of the heads up about the price at GG, Just ordered one myself.
