Yes, whatever the expression pedal has been programmed to do will effect the whole signal chain if the B1 is last in the chain.

Yeah, the SC4 seems like a cool idea. I think the DC7 is around £235, judging by the peice in the USA

Im with you on that Ped. I use my B1on most of the time at home, and my B3n stays in the draw (not sure where my 60B is) because of the ability to use battery power. I wish i had kept my old B3 now, but looking forward to the B1Four now. I did dig the B3n out a over Easter, but i found it harder to use the Drum machine compared to the B1on. Hopefully the B1 Four will be as easy to use as the B1on

Ive just switched to these new EB picks, and so far im impressed. Ive always played with a pick, i just cant get away from them. I got a packet of the Shield 1.5mm, but found them a bit smaller than i find comfortable holding, so ive also got the 2mm larger ones, which i find just right. They arent as grippy as i thought they woudl be. One side seems smoother than the other. Got a good tone though and ive never managed ot drop a pick before so ill stick with them for now.

Yes, the older Cv’s have lovely necks and compared to the VM i had the edges are definitely softer. I hated the neck on on VM PJ as it did feel like it was cutting in if i gripped the neck. I had a Sire Gen 2 for a while back in March and to me it was a very, very comfortable neck. Felt easier to play then my Gen 1 V7. During that time i had a Dingwall on lone and felt the Sire was much nicer to play (and sounded better even in passive mode), the Dingwall had very pronounced fret edges, due i guess to the neck being so thin front to back.

I didn’t realise the new ones had rolled edges. That’s pretty cool at this price point. Keeping up with Sire.,

Ah, i wasnt aiming that at you really, just that some people think Squiers arent gig able basses. We both know different of course. I think these days cost isnt always an indication of quality or playability. I got my first CV in 2008 (i think, year one). The next came a year or so afterwards. Both have been gigged a lot, yet ive never had to change the tuners and never had issues with going out of tune. The pups were as good as anything ive played, but as is common on here i have changed both. Not sure for the best, and in fact some pups ive had in them have sounded worse to my ears than the stock ones. I too use a pick (all the time) and didnt think 20mm would be any different to 19mm, but I instantly noticed it when i got my first CV. As i said above, when i lay the Gotoh’s over the holes they arent 100%, but more than close enough to fit fine. 3 middle holes spot on and then the outer two at a very slight angle.

Interesting find, and I think you’re right about me giving you the old bridge. I took mine to the Gallery to put the bridge on because I understood it needed drilling and plugging. When i took the BBOT off to put a Gotoh on i was amazed at how well the Gallery had plugged the old holes and covered them up. Took me a few mins to realise there were no new holes, it was a straight swap. Both my CV’s are like this, Ive found that although the holes arent 100% they are close enough that there hasn’t been any issues putting the new bridges on. With the holes in the base plates Boeing a lot wider than the screws there has been enough room for movement.

The bridges on the previous CV bass were the same fit as standard Fender bridges. The string spacing on the High Mass bridge is 20mm though, which i found a bit uncomfortable, so replaced both bridges on my Squiers with a BBOT on the P, and a Gotoh 201 on the Jazz. Now both have Gotoh’s. Never needed any drilling etc. The latest CV’s are definitely not the same as the old ones, for a start the original’s have smaller frets which I found made them very nice and fast to play. Thats not to say they aren’t any good though. I wouldn’t take a MIM over a Squier just on gossip. I’d say either line is going to be more than playable. Go of the bass you like and forget whats on the headstock.

Ok, so im very impressed with this little box. Smaller than i imagined it to be, and feels quite rugged compared to my Tascam. Very similar in feel to my old Edirol. The Bluetooth part works very well. So far testing it by walking around at work and home the connection has been rock solid as far as the remote side goes. Only slight negative is to use my Apple watch i have to first connect the phone. Im not sure why as the watch can connect to other devices independently of the phone. Minor issue though, and to be honest its easier to use from the phone. All the necessary record/playback functions are in the app, but no menu access. This is fine for me, as long as i can set levels, split tracks in real time thats all i need. Both are very easy to do. Setting up my BT earphones took a few tries, and at one point the device said the card is full (it was empty), but again, its all up and running well. Ive also got it connected to a BT speaker. You can monitor using headphones when recording (with a bit of latency of course if using BT headphones), but you cant use BT for headphones and remote at the same time. Each means a trip to the menu to switch it over. luckily the menu is quite sparse so not a bit deal to navigate. The screen is clear and while contrast could be better its easy to read. There are tow red LED's that flash etc when recording so its easy to tell whats happening. Ive not recorded any loud live music yet, but i placed the R-07 and Tascam in front of my home cinema centre speaker and noticed the mic's aren't as sensitive on the R-07, which is a good thing considering why i got it. All in all, very pleased with it. not as cheap as some, but for me its worth the extra for the functionality that i wanted and the very small size.

As they do price match im guessing they are just hedging their bets on the price.

I went from a Vanderkley 1x15 to mine, and have no regrets other than its heavier. Very punchy tone Personally i dont think any cab is worth £800-£900 but i guess you have to pay the going rate if you want something that does cost that much.

Pretty much. I ended up getting a BH800 head because I love the EQ so much, but I wouldn’t use any of the OD tone prints on either. I do like the clean boost tone print though. It’s the only one I use on the SD.

I did exactly this upgrade with my 55-01. Actually i got the Bass Gallery to do it but you get the point. I did ask them not to make any external mods but they drilled a hole on the outside to put the toggle switch in. It actually worked ok though. To me it made only a small improvement. I think the pup's are the things that needed changing, they sounded quite bland, but i never got around to that.

Where is the new FW? its not showing on the main Zoom website under the B3n. EDIT: I found it. Seems its not on the main website. its just a USB connetion fix, nothing new. Released as following bug fix in April 20191.
