  1. Cheers all. I looked at Northwest before posting but they didnt seem suitable. Ive also looked at Mighty Mite but they need drilling etc. As above, the Fender necks arent quite ready to play but do seem to be a good option. Those are MIM necks for that price, and the MIA necks are well over twice that from what i can see. Ill take a look at Warmoth. I had one of their necks on a bass years ago, very nice neck IIR. I don’t want ot get a new bass and just use the neck. Ive thought about that in the past but I’m a lazy bugger and there is no guarantee I could get rid of it quickly. The link is not to a bass with a maple fretboard so that wont do at all. Point taken though. If i was going to go the Mex route i might as well put my (much better) Squier CV Jazz neck on it, but thats not maple anyway (hence the Lakland neck). Or buy a CV jazz with a maple neck
  2. Point taken, but as the scouting movement have preached to us for decades, all ways be prepared. I still think you should use a proper channel for an acoustic guitar though.
  3. IMO its always better to have more than you first need to start with. Might want to mic up thre bass drum or something else at a later stage. We use the larger version off that and the sound quality is really nice. The only thing i find with those mixers is they can be quite complicated with all those routing options. Ive arrived at gigs to find i cant get any sound out of the desk because one of the cryptically labels buttons has been engaged.
  4. What about this one Bas? https://www.musictribe.com/Categories/Behringer/Mixers/Analog/1002FX/p/P0572 I would be weary of putting an acoustic guitar in to a channel that only had T/B EQ. IME these need more adjustment than most other band instruments (or you could get a Q/Strip:-)
  5. Cheers Michael. I had looked at the Fender ones but as you say, no tuners. I could buy tuners i guess, cant be hard to fit as long as the holes are drilled. Seems like the nut will need a bit of work but that too isn't a huge issues.
  6. I've spent the past few days setting up my Fender P bass with my Lakland jazz neck. All went well and it plays fine, but today i noticed the heel is slightly narrower than the neck pocket, and the neck has about a 2mm gap all the way down. Rather than mess about with either (I’m not 100% convinced i like the neck anyway) I’d like to buy an off the shelf Jazz neck. I’m useless with drills etc, and have no patience to do these things properly, so i want to get a direct replacement. So it would have tuners installed, nut cut and 4 holes cut for a standard Fender MIA P bass. Must be Maple, and rolled edges would be even nicer. Can anyone recommend somewhere that could supply the above? Cheers.
  7. I brought a Lakland neck off here a good few years ago. It was to put on a Squier CVP. Its been on and off that and my CV Jazz over the years, but for the past 5 years just sitting in an alcove in my bedroom. A few days ago i put it on my Fender to see how it felt, and other than a few truss rod tweaks its playing just as well as it did when I first got it. I was quite surprised as it’s very thin neck. I thought it might be twisted or warped but its fine. So i d say just keep it in the house somewhere fairly dry and warm and it will be fine.
  8. Damn!!! Loved his playing with UFO. I saw them so many times during their heyday. I could never understand why they never got the same recognition as other bands around that time like Iron Maiden.
  9. Garage band has a pretty decent drum section built in.
  10. I think Procrate does this, or one of the Adobe apps.
  11. I got my PD yesterday. I had forgotten how powerful it is. Very happy with it (only used headphones so far). I can see me never using the two filters on bass, nice to have them though. One thing that puzzles me is the level knob doesnt turn the audio off when its all the way down. With the Blend off and level at zero i would have thought the audio would be muted, but its still quite loud. This is though both XLR and 1/4 jack. It took me a while to get a volume level that didn’t blow my ears off. With my BDDI the level goes down to almost inaudible. Still, very happy with it.....for now.
  12. Anyone got any recommendations for a cheaper 3 way foot switch for the above amp? The TCE one seems a bit steep for what it is. or, does anyone know if this will work https://www.amazon.co.uk/DigiTech-FS3X-Foot-Controller-Digitech/dp/B000K69UM8/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_267_t_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=9NS42Z9ZHH3F2RK8FGKN Cheers.
  13. I have a maple/malpe Lakland JO Jazz neck that i put on my Fender basses when i feel the need for a change. Best Jazz neck ive ever played. ive not used it for a while though as my Fender Sandblasted P bass has one of the slimmest P necks ive every played, so it feels quite comfortable even for someone that wont play a bigger P neck.
  14. Ah thanks, i missed that. Not going to get any use out of that then.
  15. That’s quite high if it is around 80hz. I do have a Thumpinator and a Q/strip, which has a HPF in it, but i want to try and only use one battery powered pedal.
  16. Cheers Lozz. Ill give it a try at some point. It does seem like it would be set much higher than a HPF but i cant find the actual freq.
  17. Thanks, that’s a pretty much my understanding of it, but it would be nice to know the Freq its set at. This is the second time ive owned one, or will be later this week. the first was many years ago so that didnt have this filter.
  18. Just wondering if its anything like a HPF, and if so what its set at? @Lozz196 I believe you have used one 🙂
  19. I’m getting stuff like this now. I hope its sorted soon.
  20. I’m getting this coming up in Safari on IOS. Takes up almost the whole screen and seems to stay put when i scroll down, like its on a layer behind the posts.
  21. Same here. Also seeing huge adds all over the screen on my ipad.
  22. I found my V7 didn't fit most of my gig bags when i got mine, so i asked Sire to send me two for free (and they did). They really are nice bags though.
  23. To be honest i was only begin lazy looking for a RS112. I just cant face carrying my RS212 up and down the stairs for each rehearsal. Saved myself £210 so im good. It will help me build up muscles lol. Looking at the weight of the Rs115 it seems heavier than the RS212. Agreed about the Basschat Loaner scheme lol
