  1. Been enjoying their videos a lot recently, They all have an amazing talent (some more than one), but this one i find to be particularly clever. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t heard of them.
  2. I can honestly say i have no idea what any song is about. Never really listen to the lyrics.
  3. Similar rant on No Treble at the moment. Seems slapping is not as popular and cool as a lot YT reviewers think.
  4. Andertons dropped the price just after i paid (not from them) £449 for my RS212 😞 Still, great sounding cab so i dont mind too much. I see Guitar Guitar are doing the same cab for £724.00 . WTF?
  5. Only the headphone out has the roll off. No way to control it or turn it on and off so it makes sense not to have it on the DI. . You cant edit the Tone prints for the SD, so you are stuck with what TCE give you. Agree about the analogue OD's, at least in my limited experience. I have a Joyo OJ and Ultimate drive (my fav drive), although i tend to use my COG 66 as i like the two channel feature.
  6. Have you tried shaking it while its plugged in. See if there is any sign of a signal at the interface. Could be a dry joint.
  7. And we all know what discussion leads to.....GASSSSS
  8. People are discussing it, that's what places like this are for.
  9. Cheers guys. I did try and get a black PG for it but didnt want to pay custom prices. Ive been using it without the PG anyway.
  10. Ive decided to get rid of my 4 month old Jack Casady Bass as I’m not using it much (at all). Everything in the ad was purchased new in Nov 2018. The bass itself came from Andertons. https://www.andertons.co.uk/epiphone-ltd-ed-20th-anniversary-jack-casady-bass-wine-red-nh-ebjcwrnh3?LGWCODE=EBJCWRNH3;56375;6335&gclid=CjwKCAiAiJPkBRAuEiwAEDXZZbR-F_b3-xiX_Y_JPG5LL3XImuYu5deMk45djqWV_kyY4zoA_Ik2IBoCAVgQAvD_BwE This is the red 20th anniversary version, made in 2017, and comes with gig bag, branded strap, certificate. All the stuff the bass came with is included. Ive upgraded the bridge to a Hipshot (original parts also included), this is a Supertone bridge and cost £93 from Bassdirect. This works a lot better than the original bridge, and i like the look better. The old one will slide right back on if ineeded. No holes were drilled as these are direct replacements. The bass is strung with TI Flats. It also has a set of the latest Dunlop strap locks, and ill include a wide leather levy’s strap that i got for this bass as the bass does have some neck dive. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004GF6DXS/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This bass has a fairly unique tone, but does seem to cover a lot of the P bass stuff we are doing, its just tha ti have a P bass i love more. I’ve looked after the bass, so its in very good condition. Its a bit hard to photograph as its so shiny but i cant find any issues on the bass myself. I dont have packaging and dont want to post this anyway, so its collection from central london only I’m afraid. Hatton Garden in the evening /weekend or Southbank area if you want to sit down and try it, otherwise I’m happy to meet up at a station or somewhere mutually convenient in central london to hand it over. Photos taken today. Any more wanted let me know. Not looking for trades at all, as i have my eye in a Sandberg so need the money. Not in a hurry though. Not open to offers too far off the asking price but no harm in asking. Cheers.
  11. What about on recordings? Headphones etc?
  12. Haha my love hate pedal. Never has a pedal complicated my life so much. It can do amazing things with tone, but the problem is that it can only really do one at a time. I’m still trying to get my head around this. Think I’m getting there with it though. A small adjustment makes a big difference.
  13. Ive had the VTBass pedals. The deluxe, the first stomp box and the Di (my fav). Totally different pedals to the SD. Not even worth talking about them in the same sentence IMO. The SD is a solid sounding EQ with a well respected comp, and a not so useful (IME) OD section. Both Tone Prints can be reprogrammed but ultimately each is a one knob effect. The ability to plug headphones and a music player in to it is what attracted me to it. The headphone out has a cab sim tone curve on it which seems to sound better than a direct output.
  14. Dont forget to buy the same amps and effects as well 🙂 I do think you are overthinking it, but thats part of the fun.
  15. Over the years ive had Fralins, Wizard Thumper, Hanson, DiMarzio DP122, EMG GB, generic pups and Fender 62RI (twice). All sounded good, but none stood out as 'better' . The DP122 is probably the one that made the most noticeable difference and its the one i have in my Squier CVP., but since 2015 ive been gigging a Fender Sandblasted P using the stock pup. A change of string brand/type or bass made much more difference to my ears. Even having the same pup in two different basses (which ive done) gives different tones, so i think its a case of not what's best, but just finding out what works in a certain bass.
  16. The first time i ever heard Road Runner and What you gonna do about it were Pistol versions. I had no idea they hadn’t written them at the time.
  17. A few years ago i brought a memory card from Amazon. I was lucky this didnt get lost in the post 🙂
  18. The Commitments film brought a lot of classics to the forefront IMO, inc Mustang Sally 🙂
  19. Agree. High end wood with low end components. If only they would upgrade the hardware it might make these more attractive.
  20. ok but i never commented on anything to do with reasons, or right and wrong of doing it, only how some people react on here. Again, it was never meant to be directed at NJ, and i said that very early on. I have not labelled anyone a time waster (at least i dont think i did), but a lot here do, and its always the non member thats the time waster or the bad guy. I was just pointing out the irony there i guess. I have made many enquires, and have sometimes decided against going forward, i have had many many enquires that get close to going ahead and never did. Thats life. I just didnt feel i needed to make a thread about it (although again, thats just my way of doing things). Dont worry, ill make sure i dont bother you and Fleabag on here outside this thread. if anyone wants to add their name i can make a list lol
  21. But as i said, i wasnt commenting on you as such, and never once said you were in the wrong I was just commenting how the BC community seems to stick together. Normally its 'buyer pulls out, what a total ****', but this thread was about the buyer being one of us, and the seller got the hump, he was still a total ****. Because of that ive had at least two people say they wouldn't want to deal with me. Seriously, because i played devils advocaat, and just pointed out how i see thing going on BC. This was my point, people seem to choose who are the bad guys on here. Ive never given anyone a hard time when ive brought or sold on here, yet here we are with people questioning if they woudl want to deal with me because i spoke out about something without them even knowing me. Never did i question why you did it or say you shouldn't have, and yes, you were right to make that decision back then. Glad it worked out for you as i know you arent a time waster....apparently some think i am lol.
  22. Why? Do i have a bad record or something? Just because i 'discuss' how things look to me on here im a bad choice to deal with? Care to explain?
  23. Maybe look in the existing threads about these, plenty of thoughts and discussion on these, over the past few years. Also if you look in the SIre website it tells you what the differences are, it helps to know what you are buying before buying it. For what its worth i love my Gen 1 V7, had it since they first came out, and have just sent a Gen 2 P7 5 back to Andertons. The Gen 2’s are nicer but mine had an issue.
  24. The P7 5 string ash/maple that i i got last week weighs dead on 10lbs. My gen 1 Alder V7 5 weighs 10.5lbs. So I’d say no, not really much difference.
  25. I got a P7 5 (ash/maple) from Andertons on Monday. its a lovely bass. much more playable than my other Sire V7, and fit and finish is spot on. I am unfortunately sending it back as i feel the P tones isnt quite what i hoped. Lacks a bit of punch compared to my other P basses. Still a P, just not the right flavour for me. I also think there is an issue with the bridge pup so rather than worry about it ill send it back. A real shame as i love everything else about it.
