  1. Thanks. Ive had two, and loved them until they broke. Ive also got a couple of Snarks and two TC E Polytune clips, so I’m sorted for this type. Never owned a pedal tuner before so i want to get one now, while i still have a need.
  2. We have started doing a coupe of songs where i need to drop tune my E string to D. At rehearsals i use a clip on tuner and that works fine (with the volume tuned down), but I dont tend to keep the tuner on during gigs. So, i need something on my board, with a mute. Having gigged for many years without needing a tuner, i dont feel i want to spend TC money on this, as its purely for my E string. don’t need all those strobe features either. I have good clip on tuners for doing set ups etc. I like the look of the Joyo Ironman tuner. https://www.amazon.co.uk/JOYO-JF-326-Irontune-Ironman-Chromatic/dp/B014HCGBOK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1535051785&sr=8-3&keywords=joyo+tuner Not only is it cheaper, its so small i can easily fit it on without having to move too much. I know there are cheaper though, but they are slightly larger, so just wondered what the more budget conscious giggers use, and if anyone has any thoughts on the Joyo.
  3. Based on this one comment i went and ordered a COG Knightfall 66. As much as the mini appealed to me i love the idea of the two switchable Gain/level stages. It should arrive this week.
  4. Im going to keep things as they are for now. If it does become an issue ill look in to changing the doors over. I feel a bit more comfortable with using the whole unit rather than a £65 door lol.
  5. Yeah. I decided not to email them again and just get on with it. i have noticed that the new one doesn't work with some of my rechargeable, even though they are all the same brand (that ive used for a good few years). Fine with Duracell though so not a big deal. I was going to switch to using those anyway.
  6. Well I never got a reply from Line 6 (Note to self, dont buy line 6 again) so i ended up having to buy a B-stock transmitter from Gear 4 Music. Cost £65 but as long as it works its cheaper than buying a new system. Taping the old one up was beginning to be a pain for changing batteries.
  7. I’m happy to play at reduced volume at rehearsals, me and the guitarist try our best, but unfortunately my drummer only has one level. When asked to play quieter I’m normally met with a black look and the explanation that ‘any quieter and I might as well use brushes’. Unfortunately he doesn’t own any......
  8. A bit of Blu tack under the knob flange (oor err 😯) should stop them turning unless forced.
  9. I think that's definitely the reason for running the PL at 18v. I read loads of complaints about clipping at 9v with this pedal.
  10. Way Huge Pork Loin works better with 18v 😉
  11. I tired one once and although i agree with you, i dont find i really touch EQ when im playing live so it wouldn't be an issue.
  12. Ive been using a F1 head for years (brought off here). Never had an issue with it and never had to turn it right up. Obliviously thats no indication of loudness as such, but its a head i will never part with (although i have other heads i also use). Ive never used a multi cab setup, so ive only used my amps with single cabs, but ive never had any issue with people not hearing me. I had a SA450 and LMII, and there is a difference between those and the F1, but i find the F1 is a bit punchier. especially on the low notes, but not quite as full and warm, but as i always run a BDDI or similar in front with the amp EQ pretty much flat all of those amps have worked just as well. I would love a F500 though.
  13. I heard they bungled the intro.........
  14. Looks like they have also left out the Intelligent EQ section the BH heads have.
  15. I mentioned this in your TB thread, but are you looking for an all in one practice/headphone box, or just a small pedal to use with your amp etc.
  16. Different times different needs. The 2 x10 was a bit low end heavy for what i wanted at the time, and seemed to lack definition in the mids. I was coming from a 2 x12 and just didnt find the tone of the 210 worked for me. At that time i wanted a 1 cab does it all and this wasn't it. Im now not looking for a one cab does it all, i have that covered, i just want something small and light to take to rehearsals, i can take to smaller gigs, and wont take up much room at home. The 1 x10 seems to fit the bill. If it doesn't work for gigs its still usable for home use so i feel this will work in at least one situation. The 210 sounded great at low level at home. I might even use it as a practise guitar cab as well.
  17. I dont think my lot are anywhere as loud as i think. I plan to use it with a GK MB800 or MB F1, which is very loud. I had one and didn't like it. I know the 1x10 will have similar qualities but i have a feeling they wont be as over powering as the Retro 210. I think the standard one is cheap enough that i wont feel i need to sell it if i dont use it much. In fact i might just end up using it at home for jamming with my son if it doesnt cut it live.
  18. Haha, ive owned 2 of their cabs so i know what works for me and what wont. Never found them to be lacking volume as such, just tone. Never felt they lived up to the blurb but you live and learn. In the past i was looking for a one cab solution, so the criteria was a bit more demanding. Now im just thinking something small and light for rehearsals, and club gigs. It wont be replacing my 1x15, ever, but ive realised im getting lazy and not taking that to rehearsals (due to the amount of stairs id need to carry it up and down), but im not too keen on using 4x12's for rehearsals as i know ill never get that tone form my own gear. Im looking for a lightweight cab that can cover both if im feeling lazy, but not too fussed about it filling St Paul's Cathedral (even though i know it can lol). Thats good to know. Might take a punt on the plain black one, as its cheaper than the Rainbow version.
  19. Guys, can i ask if these cabs would be suitable for a typical Social Club gig. Just Bass/Guitar and drums. No PA support as such. Just the usual run of the mill covers. I know ive not been too generous towards BF in the past, as i felt the cabs i had didnt live up to expectations, but i really could do with something smaller than what i have for smaller gigs.
  20. WOW, still here!!!! I started using mine again, and then stopped, but its still on my board. Amazing EQ, i just dont find i really need it. Ill keep hold of it though.
  21. New guitar arrived just before i went on holiday. Seems fine. Ive just changed the tuners to a set of black Hipshot locking tuners. Made a big difference as far as keeping it all in tune goes. Not a cheap upgrade, and the first time ive every done this mod, but well worth it.
  22. I must admit i am very tempted, but having just brought a Mojomojo and UD i don't think i can justify another at the moment.
  23. Same here. I couldn't get my head around why i was paying so much for the PSU, when the board only cost £35. Really glad i did though. I do wish it had more outputs, as i have two daisy chained. No issues though, and i dont have any high current draw pedal son the board any more.
