1. Play that funky music. Although i can play it fine we just dont gell as a band (quite the opposite) and its one of the most painful experiences of each gig.
2. Just sold Stevie my iRig. We agreed the sale in the evening and money was in my account when I woke up next morning. Pleasure to do business with and wouldn't hessitate to send goods first if needed. Cheers Stevie, have fun with it.
3.
Dude got up at 5am to drive it to bristol the next day, an paid for the time the driver spent hanging about, his parents told him they'd be in, then decided to go out.
Fair play to him. I guess these things happen.
4.
Driver was fairly up for ramraiding the place.
What did happen in the end?
5. yep, case closed. Good luck with it.
6.
Why would you do the same? Why?
By that i meant pull out, rather than mess you around. That part im not sticking up for him about. The difference has already been said, more than once. I can imagine this guy wanted a quick sale, with pickup because he didnt have time or whatever to pack it up securly, he might even be worried about it getting damaged in transit. This is the difference between you picking it up and him having to get it ready for a courrier (this has always been my reason for doing collection only for bigger stuff). More work for him and that wasnt what he was looking for when he placed the add. If it had got damged in transit this would also mean a long drawn out transaction, something he probley wouldnt want. You bid on this knowing he wanted collection only. Why didnt you just ask him before bidding? It sounds like you were messed around and are angry, and rightly so,thats not on and the guy was in the wrong for going about it in that way, but you dont seem too grasp that you were wrong in the first place.
7.
I'll say it again: I did agree to go collect. Anyway, spleen vented. Done and no money lost and have, in the interim, sourced another '59!!
Didnt you say that he agreed to loose £40 so you could go and collect it? To me that sounds like he would have been loosing out. He shouldnt have messed you about after you both agreeed on something but you shouldnt have messed him about by bidding on a collection only item with no intention of collectiong it. I can understand him wanting to back out, i would have done the same. I dont blame him for thinking you were wasting his time.
8. Shirt arrived this morning, looks pretty cool. feels nice and soft. Ill see how i get on with it and might get a lighter coloured one for the summer. Cheers Chris.
9. Hmmm ,this looks interesting, and at a good price point. I wonder how it stacks up againt my MB F1. It seems to offer a bit more control. Thanks for the review Jauqo.
10. Me bums already shaved, im up for it Blimey Michael, you stalking me
11. Yep, including the first one i brought it was 4. The first was a MIM 70s Jazz that had a raised 13th fret, the second was a MIA in black that had very poor paintwork, the next two were the MIA's in 3TSB that had the rear pup out of alignment. The 5th, and the one I settled on was the HW-one, and that too had a raised fret but as it was at the 19th i didnt mind. Looking back i do think i should have kept the first 3TSB with maple neck, it played and sounded fine, but i just couldntt get over the large gap around the rear pup, especially as my Squiers were spot on and the MIA cost 3 times as much.
12.
I bet he has your picture on his headboard now
Dont we all
13. If i get GAS ill just order another shirt and cut the logo out Would be great to see something in black with orange writing/logo. I loved the orange and grey T i got form here. Im still trying to slim down so i can atually wear it :-(
14.
OMG fanboy alert
Never go out in them though, and its cheaper than buying actual basses ;-)
15. How are these straight out of the box, any set ups needed lol. Just ordered a black and silver to hang up with my BC tee shirt, and my TB Tee shirt and cap in my wardrobe :-)
16. Other than two basses ive never got to play any of mine before buying. Ive always brought mail order. The only basses ive ever sent back we all Fenders (4 in the space of 6 weeks back in 2010).
17. Really enjoyed those vids and love your playing. We've tried a coupel of those and got nowhere near that standard. Thanks for posting them.
18. I had a LMII as backup to my SA450 (not that i needed it), sold both and now just have a F1. Fantastic amps. Good luck.
19.
I'm wearing my navy/yellow one now and I had lots of admiring glances in Costa. Mind you, I always do. But I had even more than normal. Maybe.
Probably down to forgetting to put your trousers on lol.
20. I've tried twice to place a order but just can't get my head around a polo shirt. It's not that I don't like them, just that they don't entice me. I'll probably crack before monay though, they do look cool.
21.
Yes and yes. Lakland? Not heard many Qc related gripes about any of these
Gareth has a Lakland QC thread going as we speak
22.
All good ideas, thanks.
You still need that CVP Gareth. maybe now is the right time. You have a fantastic MIA P so you still need that beater bass. Save some cash and heartache and go Squier. You know what they say, "Once you go Sqiuer, you question why higher" LOL.
