1. Considering you have listed these items on here with a price, yet you won't accept that price, you abviously do think this an auction site, and that isn't the way things work here.
2.
just out of interest is there a possible prize for whoever identifies this??

Are you willing to post the prize overseas?
3. Ill have it for £60 then. PM me how you want paying.
4. I dont think thats a bad price for coated strings, about the same or slightly less than the likes of DR BB/Neons and Elixirs.
5. Are you willing to post the prize overseas?
6. I liked that intro (and the rest of the track). Not sure i could pull it off live but with the magic of the modern recording studio i'd have a go.
7. £10 for em if you don't like em ;-)
8. There is also a big thread (or two) on TB IIR. I'd be interested in your thoughts if you do get a set for your P bass. I'll probably be getting a set for mine next time i change strings (not for a while yet though)
9.
That's very true, in that case you could say that your thumb is used too. I can play my bands stuff fingerstyle, it just sounds better with a pick and it means i don't get my sweaty hands all over my strings as much. Liam
I really wish i didn't have to use a pick. It sounds stupid but i dont really like it a lot of the time.At home everything sounds fine with fingers but at gigs it all goes to pot. I think part of it is my band need me driving the songs along, and the pick sound works better, plus my speed is better with a pick, and it helps me keep the drummer in check.
10.
I'm mostly a pick player with the band, but mostly fingerstyle at home. Being good at both allows me to choose what the song needs, and also means if i drop my pick i'm not stuck in the sh*t trying to find another, i can just carry on. Liam
Same here. I find i get a better grove at home with fingers , but cant get enough speed up at gigs so tend to use the pick 99% of the time. Its something i really should work on. I tend to need my fingers to hold my pick so i guess its both ;-)
11. I'd love to go tonight but the other half is in Russia so ive got the kids. Still hoping to get to the Hoxton gig.
12. Now sold, and donation made to BC. Cheers Rob, sorry again Mike.
13. Oh bugger. Ive only just seen this thread. What a terrible shame. I love Bob's playing and to me he was THE Motown bass player, not that other guy with the hook ;-)
14. On hold pending the usual (sorry Mike)
15.
I know 2 Fender Jazz players who swear by their Lindy Fralin pickups.
Fantastic pups but cant see the OP getting a set for £70.
16. Have a word with Andy at Wizard, see what he thinks. He made me up a set of 74's as i felt the 84's were too dark sounding but didnt want the 64's as i was after something with a bit more character.. Explain to him what you're after and he will be able to advice. I got rid of my Thumper for a Fender Original but part of that was due to the slight size difference in the Thumper, it caused me to have to file out any pick guard i put on my P bass. Tone wise i was happy with either although the Fender sounded a bit more "woody"
17. I love the bit where you scroll down and see " What Other Items Do Customers Buy After Viewing This Item?" and the top pair is a set of £9.99 Creative In-ear phones lol.
18. Ive had this for about a year or so and use it most weekends, but its still on its first battery so its not actually had much "on" time i guess. Its either been in a padded case or on top of my amp so its in great condition, looks almost new and i can find no scratches on it at all (white specks are the flash bouncing off the dust in the pics) I've never had any problems with it, no noisy pots etc. Reason for selling is ive just got a Paradriver so this is no longer needed. Looking for £90 inc delivery to mainland UK, or £85 for local central London pick-up. Not looking for anything other than money im afraid, and im in no rush to sell it so the price is firm, for now. Cheers.
19.
imo high mass bridges are a marketing ploy.. just like string through bodies etc.
LOL
20.
Got hold of Puttin' It Together so its only the Ultimate EJ cd/lp to bag.....
Ive got it. PM if you want it and i can drop box it.
21. Good for you. They arent always the cheapest but ive never had better customer service from a music store.
22. Nice one. Its always quicker to speak to them in person if you have issues. With so many people singing their praises i'd give them another chance if the occasion arises, but understand if you dont want to.
23. I'd say that seeing as Fender sell P basses with HM bridges on them they cant possibly not sound like a Fender P bass ;-) While a P bass will always sound like a P bass no matter what bridge is on it there are a lot of things that will make more of a difference to the tone IMO. For me a HM bridge looks classier and is more comfortable to rest the side of my hand on. Ive had the Vintage bridges and have always found them to need regular adjusting, not so the HM bridges.
24. Why not just call them? Ive sent quite a few thing back and never had any issue other than they take a while to reply to emails so i just pick the phone up.
