Same here with FF. I can log in but it doesn't seem to hold, although its not every time i open FF. IE9rc (and IE8 on my sons PC) seem stable. EDIT: I was logged in when i was typing this but when i hit Submit it logged me out, second try worked. Very strange. -
Oh btw, the soldering in my bass was truly awful, i'd advise anyone who owns one of these to completely redo it from scratch if it's anything like mine.
Well they are made by little old ladies working for nothing arent they?

Ive just found this at the bottom of my wardrobe at home. Ive tried it on a few of times at home (with a bass of course) but its never been gigged as its too short for me. Its in great condition and still has the tag on it. These sell for about £30 and im looking for £20 posted to UK mainland. Cheers.

Yeah, i have thumbed through it and it looks a good read, i just haven't had time to sit down undistributed and read it. Its on my list of things to do this summer though.
Actually got it to go with the red Jaguar Bass I should be getting in the not too distant future. Theres a secondhand one for sale in the "Other Musical Stuff" section. Look for Grand Wazoo's ad. He might still have it.
Cheers for the heads up. Ive just replied to his thread so hopefully ill get it.........not that i need another strap lol.

I really enjoyed the music he did to Young persons guide to becoming a rock star, especially "why dont you shag me". I also love the music from Still Carzy. I do have his book but so far its unread (2 years now, sitting on a shelf). He does seem to come across as confident rather than arrogant but i guess there is a fine line between the two and ive never met him.
Maybe the whole website needs taking offline for a while,
That would save some people a lot of money lol -
My question to you guys is, whether there are any flatwounds that can compete with roundwounds for brightness.
I find Chromes can get close to worn nickel's for brightness but still find they lack the fullness of rounds.
Did you just say you own a Squier 77? I thought the earliest Squiers came out in 1982
He means a Squier VM Jazz 77.
Computer says ................................................................................................... no It only seems to affect dynamic IP's though, or maybe if someone is trying to stay logged into Basschat from several computers I might try Bourbons next if custard creams don't work
Im on a static IP here at work and have had some trouble, but not as much as at home on my Virgin Media connection last night. This morning could just be down to your tinkering i guess. I never log out but never have the forum running on more than one device at any one time. If this continues can i suggest a HobNob in the serial port. -
I had a EMG Select P in my old JV Squier and it sounded fine.

More flashing lights are needed. Its a well known fact that if something has loads of flashing lights then it must be better. I was having trouble earlier this morning but it seems to have settled down now. fingers crossed. Any idea why this has happened? -
I ordered a delay pedal for Mrs. WoT from Strings Direct last Wednesday. Despite not being a particularly expensive item, the shipping was free and it arrived the next day. She used it at a gig on Saturday, and it had a slight fault. I emailed Paul at Strings Direct yesterday to ask if I could send it back for a replacement - he got straight back to tell me he's popped another one in the post along with a return envelope for the faulty one, along with his apologies. 10/10 from me!
Pauls great to deal with. I had the same response when i had a faulty string a whirl ago. Got the replacement before i sent the first packet back.
Sa\me tweed as my fender Gig bag. Just need to to save a bit for a Fender TV 10 or 12. Love those amps but they are a tad pricey.
My guitarist has a Fender Tweed covered combo. It looks nice but its bloody loud :-( I think that strap will go well with my Fiesta red P. Ill order one. I particularly like the end bits with the big F on them. Damn, GAS so early in the morning.

Order some EXL's yesterday lunchtime, they are on my bass now. Brilliant service as always, and free postage. That strap looks pretty neat Tarcher, think i might investigate it more.

My PC at work has been fine but my PC at home has been requesting i log in each time, even though my details are saved and i can see them in the login boxes. I've cleared out the cookies but its not really helped. -
IME, D'Addario Chrome flats are bright and can be slapped (not that I slap) for a fair while before they dull down - much more so that TIs or the very thuddy Pyramids. They still have the nice slipperiness of flats though
Yeah, i like Chromes for their brightness. I love the feel of TI's but feel Chromes are a nice middle ground and can work with almost any type of music. I've had a set of Chromes almost every bass iv'e owned over the past 6 years but I do keep going back to rounds, I miss the overtones and find them more "musical". I find D'Addario EXL's to be a good compromise, especially once they loose some of the zing.

We play Sally at all our gigs. I dont mind the song, it goes down well and yes, we sometimes have girls get up and sing backing. The main reason we do it is our drummer sings it, so this gives the singer a break. To be honest i dont ever recall us getting asked to play it at gigs, its just something we started doing because other bands were doing it and we saw the reaction they got. I think there was a a big change in the covers scene, certainly down her in london, after the Commitments film came out in 1991. You couldn't go and see a west end/nightclub covers band without hearing Midnight hour, Sally, Hard to handle etc.

Good reasons drewm. Like i said, i just couldn't understand why some people had to have so many, your reasons make more sense. I too need something for my 6 year old son to mess about on, although at the moment he is happy with my Spirit bass as its smaller than my others.
