  1. Almost every block will have its own volume/level control, you need to keep these in check. Each patch also has an output block where you can adjust the final output level for each patch. This is probably the easiest way to level them up as it means you aren't messing with the gain stages along the path, and so the sound wont change if you turn the patch up or down. Again, best done in a band environment to really hear whats going on, but at least you can get a head start
  2. Yeah. I use Native when im recording bass and guitars, and its just so nice to be able to see everything, but i know from experience when i was gigging with a Stomp id had to make changes etc and normally on the fly, so i got to know the box inside out.
  3. Iove just brought a new ipad as im getting more and more in to using soft synths.. its amazing how things have come on since the old days. Quality is right up there with hardware synths now. A cheap midi keyboard and an iPad is more than usable as a gigging rig if needed. Got 3 gigs in Nov. This will be my first time on keys since around 1993. Ironically the last time was with a Yamaha keyboard, and this time will also be with one.
  4. For this reason alone its worth getting to know the box and where everything is. Being able to make adjustments when playing with the band, without wasting time looking through menus etc is not to be under estimated.
  5. You might notice some of those videos are about using the presets 😎
  6. Wow, that synth is sooooo 80’s, and sooooo me 😁. Top of the list for my next keyboard. Ive been using Prophet sounds quite a lot recently, but only samples of them in my MODX. I also use iProphet on my ipad, triggered from the MODX, but its a work around to not having the real thing.
  7. Nah, that song needs black and white 😂. I do prefer that one visually. Could easily be part of the Isle of Wight broadcast from the weekend on BBC. You seem to be getting more screen time than the drummer though lol. Good work as usual 👍
  8. Don’t worry about me. You seem happy so thats great. For what its worth, part of my job (or was) is design, so im well aware of type faces and the way they work. If you look at the title of this thread, its worded as a question. I have my answer, and we have already discussed my reason for asking it.
  9. You could set the Global EQ flat and just use EQ blocks on each signal path.
  10. Im shocked no one has commented on this. Thats what i call living on the edge lol. I really cant get my head around this. Stomp aside, with new wiring etc it seems really odd not to at least check you have a signal at the end of the chain. Not having a go, just shocked. Glad you got through the gig anyway. I used to use a pretty similar Stomp patch to you as my always on. Just didn't bother with the high cut filter. I had this as my alway on, with a low drive, and then on a foot switch i had the Stomp up the gain and lower the volume on the same block to keep the level even when more drive is added.
  11. I wonder if you would be able to use a send block on one path to send one signal out of the FX loop send. Not sure if that can be configured differently to the main outs, but it might be an option.
  12. Why do we need a compromise ? Its never been like this before, and isnt like this on all the websites ive visited. If other fonts dont do it, why not use that as the default? Ive not come across a website that insists on changing what i type.
  13. Yep. We discovered changing the font works. Shouldn’t need to though.
  14. Same. Im going back and forth between the two shows but NG is, well, being himself. Not a fan of this brother.
  15. Got bored, now watching the old grey whistle test on BBC4. Gary Numan sounding playing a nice heavy version of Are Friends electric. His daughter has a great voice as well.
  16. Nice MB rig. Two amps as well. I guess he doesn't have confidence in the brand lol,
  17. HPF’s are all over the place. Amps can often have them built in, and many pedals have them as part of their circuitry. In all my years of playing ive never had my drivers jump around like that, and dont know anyone that has. its not a gimmick, but not a necessity either, at least for most of us.
  18. Nice one Russ. Not heard that song for ages (since we stopped playing it). Ill be honest and say im not a fan of black and white, at least not clean black and white if that makes senses, but its shot and edited well so job done.
  19. There is a setting that disables it other than for the headphone out. Maybe you set that by mistake?
  20. Interesting. For the first time we (or rather my singer) had huge issues with her Xvive IEM system. Me and the the guitarist were using Xvive U2’s, with no issues, he was on ch4 and im on ch2, but her IEM kept cutting out and was totally un reliable at anything over 1ft distance. We tried all the channels with no difference. There was one of those rowdy church service type of things going on in the rehearsal complex, and at one stage she had the preacher/voice of god, coming through her IEM’s. I can’t figure out why the rest of us had no issues, but it was quite comical…..for a while.
  21. Take one for the presets and turn the amp gain down and any OD’s that are on. Treat it like a real amp.
  22. Looks to me like they gave him a pair and took photos of him using them. Wonder if he gave them back 😎
  23. I must admit i found the mids a bit fatiguing on longer gigs, but it never let me down. Even the band used to comment on how well they could hear me across the stage, without me being loud.
