This is my Sandblasted P bass. ive changed all the hardware to black. Big fan of black tuners on a maple neck. I got this on a whim used, for an amazing price a few years ago. Dont think I'll ever let it go. Its outlasted a few basses worth a lot more, inc a Yamaha P34.

That reply was from the Importers, not Amazon.

🥱 If Apple say that downloading the trial again resets the 90 day limit, how on earth is that theft? If they allow it what on earth are you talking about 😏 Who cares what the student bible costs, im 61 😂.
-
A bit later still, but that 90 day Logic Pro trial can be extended indefinitely with a small one line script. It also re sets if you download a new version (even Apple mention the so its not a hack as such). For what it's worth I use a 14" MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro chip and 16GB ram. Never had any issues with latency or slowdowns etc. Its an old one by today's standards, but it will last me for years.

Actually i am. The first two were brought just as i got back in to playing bass. I actually did like them but there were other things that i felt i needed to try, so found more fault (or reason) to not like it, and it was a lot of money for something i wasn’t sure i needed. Now ive tried the other pedals, which i actually thought would work as i loved them before, my mind is a bit more settled. I did love the MS-60B+ more, sound wise, but for home use the ability to just plug it in to my ipad and have it powered from that is vey convenient. For this use it’s the best ive tried, BUT (😂), now im enjoying using it ive found im pretty much sticking to one or two presets, with a bit of tweaking. Ive found the sound i was after, and very happy with it, but do i now need a box like this where the MS could also do just as well live. I know i wont use 90% of the other bits, in fact im not even using the BDDI sim which was a must at the start. I ignored the amp sims at first because im going to be using an amp, but now ive spent proper time with it i think ill be using those amps as a tone shaper (rather than to emulate the original). Having the ability to dial back the cab in the MS actually makes more sense now. Bloody hell, it’s never ending 😂

During the first lockdown I bought a keyboard (not my first, but haven't touched one for 30+ years). Told the band that I was going to play keys and made a real pigs ear of it at the first few rehearsals 😂 . Im more confident now and since picking the bass up for another band recently, I do feel im more proficient on keys than bass now though. I want to join more bands on keys but im still very new to playing.

I sold a few things during lockdown and didn’t have one spammer or time waster. Maybe they were all taking the time off as well 😂

“Yeah, but there is an issue with the payment. Did you get the email with the link?…..”

Ive sold quite a few things on FB over the past few years. Once the scammers have got bored with me things settle down and ive had good results. It's fun to play along at the start but then it gets boring. Ive got to sell some keyboards soon and im sill considering doing it here first, even though I know its not quite what most would be looking for. Once it gets to FB I know I'll get a sale, but at the moment I just can't be bothered with it all the crap.

I have DI boxes so in a way it’s not really needed, but i did like the sound the Tube emulations made when i had the B2-four in the past and it keeps it neat. what swung it more was the fact that it can use it as an interface without the need for more cables. If the MS-60B+ had this id have kept it.
-
Slow day at work, so I ended up ordering my 3rd B2-four 😂. This time it's for real. Ive tried to find something else, but nothing ticks as many boxes. Although I dont need DI out at the moment I am hoping t find a band that doesn't use amps on stage at some point.

Ive not read or heard anything that's a deal breaker as fas as what it offers, but at this price (used or new) I feel the Zooms have more room to tweak. I was happy to see the Pod has the BDDI sim in it, but only one knob to adjust makes it very basic compared to the Zoom versions (and the real thing). As im really after a good BDDI sim as well as a few other effects I feel I may end up not using the one effect I want.
-
Im still on the fence about getting another. Since i sent my second one back ive brought a Paradriver, BDDI, VTbass and Zoom MS-60B+. All had good points but just not all the right ones for me in one unit, and the high cost of the Tech21 stuff is off putting for one effect. Tempted to even try the Line6 Pod express but that seems to be the less specified of the lot. Pretty sure I'll just get another B2-four next week.

I sold that lens a long time ago. In fact I had a big purge and got rid of a lot of my L lenses and FF camera. Only got the 70-300L left now.

Although we don't do any REM songs, that's me in the corner 😂 I used to play here in a 4 piece and thought it was cramped, now we are back as a 6 piece and bloody hell, how did we mange it.
-
Yeah, not something you want to be worrying about each gig. I actually had a Legacy 800 when they first came out. In fact i had 3. One had a very poor finish on the front so i sent it back, the second and 3rd had faulty switching when using a foot switch. Loved the sound and power, but couldn’t get over the poor QC that price point.

I’ve seen people use other people’s photos on here in the classifieds and no one bats an eyelid. Sometimes they give a name check, other times they just copy and paste them.
-
Ive had this happen a few time with my old GK MB800 head. it was always nerve wracking when I first turn it on at a gig. It never cut out etc, just refused to make any sound a few times on Start up. Leave it powered on for a few mins and it would be fine.

its more intelligent than a lot of the FB marketplace 'buyers' 😂

I loved the Stomp. I found it much easier to use than the Zoom pedals. I guess it just hit the right spot for me. Took a bit of understanding but after that i was ok with it. Going back to my comment about needing good access to tweak things away from home, a PC/Mac editor is useless to me. I’m one of those that like to get hands on and know where things are in case i need them in a hurry . In fact i never used an editor for the 2 Helix boxes i had in the past. Saying that, i had a quick play with the phone editor for the two Zoom’s I’ve had recently and quite liked how fast it was at setting patches up. For me the ability to use a phone or iPad at a gig/rehearsal is a lot more practical than taking a computer along, as we have those with us anyway. I’m pretty sure I’ll order the B2-four again this week. I like that it has more switches, and a more viewable screen. Only £70 more than the MS-60b+.
-
With the MS-60B its access and ease of use. I like the idea of the extra switches on the +, which make it much more usable for me. I may use the B1-Four, but ive found it to sound a bit muffled, but with noise when ive used it at home (same with the MS-60B) The bottom line is, because I don't have the ability to set up a gig rig at home all my setting up and tweaking is using headphones or a small practice amp, neither are ideal, so when I get to rehearsals I need quick access to things. I don't feel either give me that compared to something like a Sansamp or something with more knobs. I know how to use both, both have been used with bands in the past, but I don feel any attraction to use them now. I did like the MS-60B+ but the black text on red screen is just annoying and hard to read. Might go back to the B2-four.
-
Yeah. I still have the MS60b and B1-Four, but i just can’t find myself using them. I’m really should just use what i have, but as you say, things have moved on a bit and it’s nice to have better if possible.
-
Or break the BC cardinal rule and stick with what you have, because it works 😂 Ive still got mine, but haven’t used it since I last posted (so only the once). I got it out again today and, well, yeah mine is going back as well. For me the one negative is the bloody colour scheme on screen. Very difficult to see whats going on with some of the screens. Might go back to the B2-Four, might not bother.

They do a full range version as well. The standard one is supposed to have some high end missing, to simulate a cable. The WL20L is full range and doesn't have the cable simulator effect.

I don't know why a lot of you guys don't just take up playing keyboards 😂
