  1. I always used headphones at home as I live in a flat. I use the same patch for that as well, although I might put a comp at the start to hopefully help protect my ears.
  2. Use it in Bypass mode 😂. I used to use the BDDI sim on all the time as my starting block, with just a hint of drive and Blend tuned down, and a Parametric EQ at the end of the chain. As i was going in to a rig i never saw the point of using amp and cab sims, although i admit thats what a BDDI is for anyway. Sounded very clean and punchy in a band mix.
  3. It always costs more to re invent something that already works well enough 😂
  4. Just don’t do any open air gigs without bolting it down 😂
  5. Its been a while since I did this, but IIR the Stomp doesnt work with the higher khz files, so you need to choose the lower versions. Could be wrong though.
  6. Fancied playing this fro years, and finally got around to learning in and recording it with most of the band over the past week.
  7. Replied and Sold. Cheers.
  8. Don’t get me wrong, i didnt not like it, it was just it a bit subtle for what it cost. For adding that extra ‘magic’ it worked fine, but then that all got lost with the band. I did a few gigs where i had forgot to turn it on, didnt notice, and that was that. I had other good EQ options at the time, so it just wasn’t needed.
  9. Cheers mate. About time it saw some use.
  10. Selling my hardly used B3n. I got it a few years ago but its hardly been used. Has a few light surface marks as its been in a draw with other pedals. Probably used 4-5 times at rehearsals. Perfect working order. Comes with box and paperwork, PSU, but not the manual (unless I can find it before selling). Ill include a USB cable to make up for it. If posing add £5 for first class post. UK mainland only. Selling off most of my bass gear so not looking for any trades.
  11. Indeed…..the faster the better 😁
  12. Had one, thought it was very similar to the Emperors new clothes. Great rep, but doesn’t do much, and nothing i couldn't get from much cheaper gear. Sorry, just my opinion.
  13. Nice set up. I’d love that Roland. Always been a fan more of the Roland filters than the Prophet/OBX ones.
  14. Yeah but that’s not the same as letting a bunch of strangers from the audience use it.
  15. Haha, yeah, i thought that was a bit strange.
  16. what an amazing experience for these guys.
  17. Hardly used since getting a Helix, and then a B1-four, and then not playing bass any more. Works perfectly, and is up to date with the firmware. I dont have the box or anything that might have come with it, so its just the pedal itself. Ill include 2nd class postage to mainland UK in the price. Info here https://www.zoom.co.jp/node/61
  18. I’d love to get one of those, and totally understand the advantage, but my lot just wouldn't go for it just on my say so unless i paid for it and all the other bits I’d need. Our biggest issue is the drummer, who plays too loud all the time. I’d worry how it sounds out front once we have sound checked and start playing. Even now he tends to swamp the mix with his drums after a few numbers, and the guitarist hasn’t a clue as to how loud he is, let alone keeping his levels even. In the past I’d stand out front at the sound check, and get all the balances right, but i know it all goes to pot once we start playing. Now I’m stuck behind keys i wont even have the ability to go out front for sound check. At least with the backline on stage i can partially gauge how loud we are all. Obviously a sound guy would fix most of that, but we don’t have one.
  19. Yeah, ive seen these and quite fancy getting one, but i cant see my lot going for a mixer change when we aren’t all using IEMS’s yet, and i cant afford to buy it myself. A bit of a catch 22 at the moment, so I’m slowly convincing them its a good thing. At the moment, with the singer using IEM’s live, we only use one small monitor on stage anyway. Our gigs were small enough we could hear everything but the monitor helps us keep tabs on the vocals. Only the drummer really needs IEM for his vocals. He tend to ‘forget’ to bring his monitor most gigs.
  20. I normaly use Halion’s Piano’s, which i find to be really good, but recently ive been using the Mrs Mills piano from SpitfireAudio and love it. Its not asa versatile as Halion, but its got a great tone to it and seems to mix very easily. Not bad for £25
  21. No problem. There are loads of ways a to do it but the above works for us. Good luck.
  22. Yep, a shared Google drive or Dropbox folder is how I do it. It costs nothing and everyone has access to all the wav files. We all use different DAW’s so wav files make sense. I tend to do the mixing (and most of the music) so I generally send out a rough mix of my stuff as a wav file, they put them in to their. DAW and record along with it. Then drop their recordings on to DB for me to import in to Cubase. You just need to all agree on the sample rate and tempo to start with (well not necessarily, but it makes things a bit smoother).
  23. That stuff’s cool, especially the second link. I agree it sounds like a lot of panning but i guess some will hear it as whizzing around the room. I quite like all that sort of stuff. The Apple thing is using Dolby Atmos on music, so its going to be a lot more defined and precise, the same as films are already using, but with Apples hardware the headphones decode it.
  24. Thoughts? A surprise move for Apple, but I’m not convinced its going to be the huge music industry shake up the YouTube posters are making out. Ok, its a great effect to have for films, i love it, although it was a bit disconcerting at first, but i cant see how its going to work with mainstream music. We have had 3D audio before and it never took off. I know there are some Dolby 5.1 audio discs, but they don’t seem to be very popular or forthcoming. I like that it will be there, and i cant wait to hear it, but with it being limited to Apple Music and Apple head/earphones i dont see it making much of a change to how things are at the moment. I guess change takes time so lets see how popular it becomes. Not bothered too much about the lossless side of the new service as i use wireless headphones/earphones all the time, so wont benefit. Nice we get all this for no extra cost……for now.
