  1. Very nice. I’m a sucker for blue LED’s 😁
  2. I just remembered i used to have a Yamaha RX21 decades ago, IIR that was a real nightmare to use, although back then we just got on with it. These days I’m struggling with Groove Agent. Its very powerful but not quite as intuitive as it could be,.
  3. I go this a few weeks ago from PMT as i had some recording to do and my 2i4 was on loan. The plan was to sell the 2i4 when i got it back, but it has features I’d rather not give up, so selling the Solo instead. I’m happy to keep it as it works well with my iPad Pro, but thought someone else might get more use out of it Obviously its as new, its just been sitting on my desk. Comes with box and all the paperwork/cable. Looking for £75 firm, and ill include 1st class post to mainland UK if needed. It has been registered on my account, but ill see if i can un register it. Happy to help with any of the downloads if needed. Website info here https://focusrite.com/en/usb-audio-interface/scarlett/scarlett-solo These are my photos of the actual unit.

Video review is up for those interested.
  6. Yeah, I thought you might mean me. For me personally I’d get this over the LT if there was at least £100 difference (for example). I hate paying for things I don’t use, and im sure many of us don’t use even 50% of what these things can do, probably a lot less. While you could argue that that what you get for that £100 more is better value, it’s not logical to me to pay £100 more for even more features I wouldn’t use or want.
  7. This would be the exact reason i would go for this. I almost went for a Pod Go last year. I loved the Stomp but needed more buttons for live use AND Amp/Cab sims for home use. The Stomp has less buttons, the HFX has no amp sims as such. What put me off the PG was that it had the expression pedal. Something i would never use. Obviously i could just not use it, but it seemed like a waste and made things larger than maybe they needed to be. The XL would have been perfect, but as has been said, its a bit too expensive if it seems for the projected price. I’d still get this over the LT though, for the reasons above. Even if the prices were close. Not that i need it now, but a year ago I’d be all over this.
  8. Apparently Boris was there, because it’s a all his fault after all.......😂
  9. Ive had this for a few years. Its never caused meany issues in around 50 gigs, other than the XLR doesn’t seem to work. I only found this out a couple of years ago when the one and only time I decided to plug it in showed me its not working. Probably came like this but too long to claim warranty, and to be honest i never use DI from any amp. Now i dont use the amp at all so it needs to go. It does have scratches on it. Nothing serious, but the photos dont really show them. They do show that there are no major marks or bumps etc. Its just surface scratches.its been gigged after all. Comes with foot switch, lead and power cable. I can throw in a short speaker cable as well. Looking for around £290. Happy to take offerers but not silly ones. I still have the box so happy to post, and ill inc that in the price to mainland UK. I will not post overseas. Will do a discount for collection from somewhere in central london. Not looking for anything, I’m having a clear out as it is.
  10. The pubs and restaurants were not to blame, it was the Mr and Mrs Silly Billy visiting them that forced the government to close them down. If we agree wearing face masks in public and keeping our distance from others works, it’s obvious why places like pubs and places selling booze were shut. Its not the government, its people not giving a toss, and this is more likely to happen when you have had a few drinks. Pretty bloody obvious IMO.
  11. Nooo, ours were conversations, not just a one off discussion. It went on for months on and off 😁
  12. My Jazz also doesn’t get that tone, and thats why its better for me than the Xotic,
  13. Obviously I understand there is a huge difference better the two basses as far as something goes, but not sure what it is in real terms and what more money gets you when you are already happy. I get if you want the nicer finishes and woods then you pay more, also if you want a certain configuration you pay more, but ‘better’ is quite subjective IMO. I guess its hard for someone like me who is easily pleased to see where the money goes for boutique basses. It seems its all in places i don’t care about. As far as the KS goes. I just didnt get on with it. Don’t blame the owner for a bad set up, blame KS for making a bass that doesnt work for me lol. Basses are a very personal thing these days (it didnt seem to be years ago). Just because it cost 5K+ doesnt mean everyone will automatically like it and want one. This is another example of more money doesn’t necessarily get you better. Hopefully I’m not coming across as rude or argumentative, just putting it as i see it.
  14. Ill put my Squire CV Jazz up against any other bass, and for the reason as stated above. It will kill them all, as long as the following is taken in to account. If you want blocks, it doesnt have them, want active, it doesnt have it, want exotic wood or the emperor’s new clothes, well it has the latter, want a 5th string, it doesnt have it. Has frets, and...well sound like a Jazz. Not for everyone then. Want good feel and tone, loads of it. Very good playability, loads. Cost so little its not a problem taking it out, yep, got that. Who cares what a bass costs. If a Squier is good enough for Herbie Flowers its going to make the grade for me as well, as long as i think with my hands and ears, and not my wallet. Obviously ive played the ‘even’ cheaper Squires that didn’t feel right in my hands, but I also played 2 Dingwall’s i didnt like, and a KS that felt really hard to play not enjoyable (even though it’s an amazing bass).
  15. And that too is blue and black, just like my fav Fender 😁
  16. Blue, hence why i dont use any of the white ones anymore 😂
  17. Or have one and use the volume knob 😂 Just kidding, not judging.
  18. That’s what happens when you skip posts, although to be fair I didn’t mention ‘Dunne’ 😉
  19. That what i said yesterday. When Lakland lost the right to use Ducks name they changed it to the numbers.
  20. These are my cheap basses, and each one has been my main gigging bass at some point, the Squier for almost 3 years of gigging every weekend. Its still my second fav bass that i own. The guitar is just there for effect lol. .
  21. I've got a maple skyline jazz neck which came off a Joe Osborn at home somewhere. I used to use it on either of my Squier CV basses as i loved Lakland necks so much.
