  1. I’m not doubting the data at all, in fact the data is all i can go by. Why do you say I don’t?My point is just that the fatality number is very, very low compared to the infection number. Not doubting its a killer and obviously thats no conciliation for those that have lost others or are suffering long time effects. Ive been in hospital 3 times since march, so in fact have spoken to doctors and nurses, although not in the COVID wards. All i said was i was surprised i know of no one, nor do i know of any one that knows someone, that has died or suffered more than an inconvenience from this. You can be as sarcastic as you want and put me down for trying to stay sane and living life as best i can. After losing my job after 36 years i need my brain (and body) to stay active or ill go over the edge. I can feel it coming. Sitting in a bubble at home will seriously damage my health, whereas keeping motivated is helping me cope. This is the reasons Gyms are important ot a lot fo people. And with two people regularly getting COVID tests in my household whatever we are doing hasn’t killed us yet.
  2. IIR L6 did this with the last update. I believe there were two patches for 2.5 within a few days of 2.5 being released. Makes me wonder about their testing process. Good that they are on the case, but still......
  3. Sometimes making just a small effort pays off 😂
  4. For weddings and functions we always wore suits, even for social clubs at the start, but then members wouldn’t bother. It always bugged me as image is very important IMO. Not so much as a selling point, but all looking like you are part of the same band, and looking like you take it seriously (as you are getting paid) is how I prefer the band to be. I still wear a shirt and suit jacket for pubs and clubs, i felt a full suit was over the top for some places, and ive had many, many comments about how i look true part, and the others look like they didn’t get changed (which they did, just from one tee stinky poo or lumberjack looking shirt to another). It shows that people might not notice if I’m using a compressor (😁), but they do notice the overall look of the band.
  5. All my gigs in the past have been with just a vocal PA, so my rig has always a had to be monitor and FOH. I dont think ive ever gigged with just a 1x12, other than the Fearless F112. This sounds very different to that though. I’ll probably never need to use it as a bass rig, but its nice to have something so transportable.
  6. Cheers, how are you liking your rig? I’m sure mine would be fine for small gigs, but I’m not sure about louder ones. At the next rehearsal I’m going to take my B1 and my bass player said he would play a song with this rig so i can hear how well it works for bass.
  7. I really wanted to get one of those, but its out of my price range. Once day. Although ive not sold my CN212 yet, this is my new Bass rig.
  8. Ive just got a Yamaha DBR12 to use with my Synth, but the first thing I did was hook up my Zoom B1-Four ( i sold my Helix recently) and play bass through it. First time ive picked a bass up since July. I was very impressed with this tone. I had a Fearless F112 last year, but felt it was a bit too open and bright. I think it was the mid driver that made it sound like this. Playing with a pick i just couldn't get what i was looking for out of it. The DBR12 seems warmer, but still without an obvious colouring. I know its a budget cab, but I think i could gig on bass with this and the B1 if i didnt have anything else to play through. Very happy with it.
  9. Ive been rehearsing every 2-3 weeks since Aug, and its great to be playing with others again. Only so much you can do at home IMO, especially if you are a gigging player rather than stay at home/recording.
  10. You cant go wrong with those. The latency is very, very low, and i get about 3 rehearsals from a single charge.
  11. How does he get the Banjo string to stay on the bass? Aren’t Banjos a lot shorter than a bass?
  12. ive got the Xvives and Boss WL-20 The Boss sound a bit better, less artefacts when the notes are dying off. I've only head this at home in a quite room when sitting in front of a rig. Never been a problem with the band though. I did tend to favour the Boss for rehearsals and live use, as its a bit more robust as far as connection goes. My guitarist uses Xvives and he has had interference with his, while my Boss ones were fine. not a lot in in, but IME the Boss work a bit better. Where the Xvives really win, especially (IMO) in the OP's case, is they have a proper on/off switch. As long as you aren't using an active bass and a pedal running on batteries you can leave them plugged in. The Boss ones have to be removed or else the battery drains more. I used to leave my Xvive plugged in to my Bass, even when its not being used and in its case, and the other end in my Stomp. I loved that i didnt need to plug anything in when i wanted to play bass, just switch on at each end. I used to play sitting on the bed, which is against the other side of the wall that has our router on it. Never really had big issues with either system, although again, the Boss less so.
  13. Interesting. I just downloaded the app and had no issue once i had linked it to DB. What exactly was the issue? At what stage in the process did it not work?
  14. Sorry, yes, we were talking about Anytune, that was a typo in my reply.
  15. Ok cheers. I might see if it works for me, but i have other options.
  16. Cheers. I was asking more about why you were struggling with Anytime and why you mention Apple. What was/is the snag?
  17. I’m trying to figure out what this post is saying. Can you help?😁
  18. At the moment we are just starting to play Lets Dance (Bowie), Modern Love, Ballroom Blitz, Sweet Dreams, Power of Love (H. Lewis), Learn to fly, Cant stop this thing we started, Rocks, When you were young, Dancing in the Dark, plus I’m still learning the other 40+ songs on our play list on keyboard. . Since i switched to keys we have suddenly started doing 80’s songs. Not that i mind, but dropped in at the deep end a bit.
  19. Ah yes. I remember now. Cheers.
  20. Spot on. I thought someone had done this, but couldn’t remember what devices. It would be good if we could just load whatever sounds we want on to these devices, a bit like Source Audio allowed with their Phaser/Flanger/Chorus pedals
  21. Cool. You wont be disappointed in the B1 for either instrument. There is plenty of EQ on tap to fix most tonal issues anyway.
  22. I never used these, but the latest implementation of them seems like a big step forward.
  23. Ah, in that case yes, go for the dominant instrument. Thats pretty much what i was doing. A bit of guitar evert now and then worked fine through the B1. The only thing I will say is, if you are using a sim of a pedal that doesn't have a clean blend, then its going to be more authentic. A few people make a big deal out of the lack of clean blends in pedal sims, but are happy with the real thing not having them. I’m sure most of us using small pedal boards don’t run parallel clean paths etc, and yet its a deal breaker when a sim doesnt have it. Cant quite see the logic there, but each to their own. You can download the manuals of each to see exactly what parameters and FX each has.
