  1. Steve was always my Fav, in fact i only ever listened to the Pistols because of him. Cant wait......
  2. Ive also got one of these hubs. If you can plug your existing interface in to it you can use this for headphone out as well. Might be the cheapest option. I used this, with a Headphone to USB-C adapter (Apple one, £7), and then plug that in to a USB-C to USB-A adapter. This gives you a proper headphone out. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07ZK8V5J2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  3. Ive recently got a Scarlett Solo and it plugs straight in to my iPad Pro 2020 12.9 model. No need for any power cables and works perfectly with GarageBand and Cubasis. My old 2i4 needed to go in to a powered hub but the solo doesnt need to.
  4. Isnt that why we all went out and brought HPF’s a couple of years ago, when they were the buzz word 😂 If any of my basses is going to do that its going to be my 425. Bloody leathal bass lol.
  5. This is spot on. You cant compare a vintage instrument that is apparently worth £1000's, to someone getting a cheap deal on a bass and then selling it for twice as much. Dont get me started on the Squier JV 'scam' lol. I agree you sell at market value if you can, but if you brought at below market value then you need to make the call if you sell for profit, or pass on your good fortune to others. im not sure how the argument goes that you are selling at market value, when someone sold to you at below that. if someone else can do it.....
  6. I think the question is more about ethic's than the price itself.
  7. Sell for whatever you want. I think on here people are aware of what's what, so if the price is set high, it might take longer. If you arent out of pocket then why not pass on the good deal that you got? On the other hand, if you can make some money, then why not lol? The fact that you have said it only cost £300 might go against a quick sale now though if you do price it much higher.
  8. I think thats it. Nothing wrong, and if the deal is good for the buyer its all good, but some could see it as 'not sporting'. In that case just walk away. I would have an issue with someone beating me down on price, and then selling it for much higher just after. Im 100% optimistic ill be gigging again. it will just take a while. My sell off is purely because i changed instruments so dont need a bass rig, and lost my job. In fact ill probably be gigging before working at this rate.
  9. Haha, buy mine and lets get one to a good home 😉 I advertised mine at a loss, but when people offer 50% off that 'for a quick sale' its no wonder im sticking to my guns, especially when i know full well when that cab gets sold on it will be for a much higher price than the person paid from me. We all have a choice though, but those that try it on can definitely do one in my book. and ive seen this happen with a bass i sold on here years ago.
  10. Just as bad as the Squier JV chancers. At least regular on here seems to buy and sell at very high prices, and also manages to bypass the fees for using BC likes his own shop front.
  11. I switched from bass to keys halfway thorough last year, so when do i fit in? A keyboard player with bass player ethics lol.
  12. Yep, thats me....or was. I’m I’m honest i was the one who took it seriously the most. Sometimes I was a bit embarrassed about going on at the others if they weren’t pulling their weight etc. but someone has to......
  13. In my band the bass player was important because he (I) was the one that knew how the songs go 😂
  14. Panic over, I found that i need to turn off the Scarlett as the output device first. This then allowed me to change the input device and output devices back to the Yamaha. Not sure what why the Scarlett becomes the default but at least i know a workaround.
  15. Thanks. Not sure that will help but ill have a look for it. To be clear. Yamaha drivers working fine if the Scarlett isnt plugged in. Ive been using the Yamaha as my main windows sound device for ages. If the Scarlett is plugged in Cakewalk disables the ability to turn the Yamaha drivers back on, and insists on using the Scarlett as the audio in/out. I can turn it off, but cant enable the Yamaha. Windows is set to use the Yamaha so its not taking the settings from that. As you say, in Cubase you set the in/out devices in Studio or the reverent settings and it sticks. There is a similar section in Cakewalk but its getting overridden if two devices are connected. Even though i only use the Yamaha with it and dont want to use the Scarlett at all.
  16. Ive been using Cakewalk by Bandlab (Windows 10) for a few weeks without issues with my Yamaha MODX. I use this as both audio and midi interface. I can record midi tracks, and then use the MODX to record them as audio. The MODX works as an audio device. A few days ago i brought a Scarlett Solo and thats working fine outside of Cakewalk, but as soon as i launch Cakewalk it becomes the default audio in/out and the Yamaha gets grey’ed out. Midi is still working (this is over USB), but i cant bounce the midi down to audio unless I physically disconnect the Scarlett. I also have Cubase Elements 11 and have no such issues. Either can be used without effecting the other. Just wondering if anyone knows a setting that needs to be changed? I’d like to go over to Cakewalk full time but not if i have to do this each time. Thanks for any help.
  17. Yeah, it’s built really well. Very robust looking. Surprisingly large and heavy as well. Makes you feel like you got your money’s worth. When i first got mine i had a jam with my mate. Me on bass, him on guitar. We both went through the separate channels on it and fed two amps, one each. Quite cool having two independent channels. I’d still say the Q/Strip is better, but its not programable and costs about the same as the SA pedal. (Maybe more).
  18. Sorry, cant ad any more than ive said already. For the money, and for bass, i think its a better option over the SA, but you can get a Zoom multi fix for a lot less and have way more EQ on tap,
  19. Go for it lol.
  20. That is rather a long way I’m afraid. Never tried it, sorry. For home use i cant imagine I it will make a difference. You wont be too far from it.
  21. The audience will never notice the difference 😂
  22. No. Only nickels. I find steel too bright.
  23. Oh no, not me, I meant getting it done by someone that knows what they are doing. Like a few others I’m happy to do the electric’s and change the hardware, but that as about it. I just don’t have the correct tools, and it seems pointless getting them for a one off.
  24. Ive got a Lakland JO maple Jazz neck sitting around that ive been thinking (for the past 5 years) of getting de fretted. This thread has reminded me. Might do something about it next year.
  25. There’s a guy on FB selling a load of these. Looks for Mick Mason 😂
