  1. Ive got a B3n, B1-on, B1-Four and a 60B (dotn use any of them lol). None are as clean or solid sounding as my Helix Stomp. Even using the BDDI sim on each. Ive tried it. With headphones on (my usual way of practicing), i can hear a lower quality with the Zoom boxes. A bit more noise, a bit less depth and openness. In a band situation though, i would never notice, and wouldn’t hesitate to use the B3n or B1-Four if i had to. The band covers a lot of impurities.
  2. Ive used it for quick checks on guitar, but tuning isnt as accurate in that mode so its more a visual thing IME. Also in bass mode you dont get this option anyway. I also had a Polytune 3 pedal, and again, never used this feature. I do love the displays though, very clear and strong.
  3. BC is turning it to Talkbass. Every thread is a ‘ club’ lol.
  4. Thats good to know. I was a bit weary as the price i paid was £200 less than anywhere else. The bass was perfect but ive always wondered if it was a return etc. Nice to know it wasnt. They even phoned me the next day to check i was happy with it, which i thought was fantastic CS.
  5. I got my P34 from Kennys, also for a very good price. Never heard of them before but service was great.
  6. You can only tune one string at a time. Not sure how useful this feature is.
  7. Although ive got two of these, and find them fine, i dont think for bass players these are anything special. Never had a tuner that didnt tune fine. The strobe mode is good but a few others have this.
  8. Good post above. I use, or used to use, HPF to clean the signal up so other pedals along the chain work better, or at least , to my ears. When i had my micro Thumpinator at the start of my pedal board, I definitely noticed my drive and phaser pedals were more responsive and less muddy. Less inaudible energy that could effect how other pedals behave. Well worth using. Ive never played loud enough that my speaker cones are dancing around, so the ‘speaker protection’ feature was never one i would benefit from. I dont slap and pop and my Comp is evening things out anyway. Going back to the Stomp, even though it does have global HPF, like the global EQ, its last in the signal chain, so maybe not as much use as using a HPF (or Parametic) block at the start of the chain.
  9. Poor girl doesn’t know what she is missing out on 😂
  10. Ah yes, i had forgotten this was a BB thread and not just general Yamaha. Totally agree about the TRBX, but not sure about the TRB. If this not a BB then.,.....? Whatever though, i wont lose sleep over it lol.
  11. Don’t forget my TRBX505. Had that for a while and gigged it a lot.
  12. Can’t sell as it was a gift unfortunately. She noticed to was missing off my board when I first removed to lol. First time she has noticed anything. EDIT: hopefully the PC brigade will keep their noses out of this one. It happened and that’s that. 😬
  13. Just a 425 now. P34 will be gone soon. Also had a TRBX 505 in the past, and the 435 briefly this year.
  14. I had a 435 for a while. I found the volume knob worked the same as on my P34. Not quite everything on the last part of travel, but i found/find the first half to be quite subtle. Mine was 8lbs, which i was surprised with. God i miss that bass still lol.
  15. Yes, there is a Global HPF and LPF. These are situated at either end of the Global EQ.
  16. Wow, seems like both are discontinued according to some places. Glad i have one of each colour 😁
  17. My GF brought me one of these about 3 years ago. I loved it at first but found it a bit too ‘rough’ sounding for what i need, not used it for about 2 years. Love the lights though.
  18. Sorry, I meant was it the Global HPF that you didn’t like, or the Global EQ?
  19. Are you talking about the HPF in the Global EQ or the man part of the EQ?
  20. Hated mine, worst higher end cab ive ever had. Fell apart very quickly, very poorly made, and very quiet sounding. Tone was good though. These days I can’t imagine anything better than my Berg CN212. I find 2x12 are my thing, and ive not had anything as satisfying since a Schroeder 1212L. Totally different sounding cabs but both 2x12’s
  21. Personally ill have nothing to do with this company. Been let down over their CS, although this has not to do with the amp side of things.
  22. I too have used a G30 for many years, with passive and active. Never had any issues.
  23. A lot of complaints on the PG forum about long delays. Other than that these look cool.
  24. I tend not to listen to music for pleasure. I just don’t find enough time to do it. We have Absolute radio on at home a lot of the time, but other than that and maybe YT on my ipad i dont have privatetime to put music on, unless I’m learning songs. I’d say over the past 15+ years most of my music listening has been learning those songs.
  25. Not sure if you saw my posts from a couple of months ago, but not only did i miss the one i sent back, i contacted the shop a couple of times to see if i could get it back. First time ive actively tried to get a bass back. If I hadn’t got the keyboard I’d still be chasing it. 8lbs and played like a dream.
