  1. The shop probably didn’t realise either. Always worth looking very closely at used goods.
  2. Not been ‘had’ unless it was sold as stock or someone told you it hasn’t been modified.
  3. Yep, on two basses. Only issue i can see is if you have a different type of jack socket. Mine were fine (both P style basses) but just double check this before ordering.
  4. Ive been using 7dayshop for years, although not too often as i tend to get most things from Amazon. Very good rep though.
  5. Well there you you go then, your last point shows it can be handy to know, but my post was more a general one. Doing simple work on the electrics in a bass for example, changing pups etc. Over time the saving can add up.
  6. Its always handy to have soldering skills. Its not hard and can save a fortune.
  7. No, nothing like this. We, or at least I, am talking about music production, what the heck has German politics got to do with it? Thats a ridiculous argument. Might as well say using loads of reverb and chorus is the same as Hilter invading Europe. Get a grip.
  8. True, but as i said, it still did the job. Im not sticking up for the type of production, i haven't commented on it as such, just that it was very popular for a good few years. Now i realise those on here look down on what the general public like, as 'we' know better (a room full of people dancing cant be a good thing can it lol), but when you produce something that the masses like, i dont think its hard to say you got it right, even if others dont like it. That is the only point i have to make.
  9. Did the job though 😉
  10. The production did its job, so it cant be crap 🤔 😂
  11. Seeing as ive just brought two keyboards stacked full of 80’s sounds I NEED a band that plays them lol. I love 80’s music, but not really the pop/solo artist stuff with the backing tracks. TOTP stuff. There was so much more to the 80’s than the New Romantic movement and SAW stuff. And of course we had the NWOBHM.
  12. And where would you get the metrics from? How would you know 2mm/2.5mm etc is ideal without feeling it?
  13. Yes, the government have said no live music yet in pubs for this reason.
  14. Thats how i will feel after the first one.....then back to hating it lol.
  15. Ironically we had a pub gig booked for the 4th. Not going to happen obviously, and certainly not without a rehearsal.
  16. Got an email from ours that they are opening on 4th July. Might get a room as soon as i can get everyone together. The rooms are big enough, and each has its own door way from the yard, so we wouldn’t need to go through any buildings (all booked and paid for on line).
  17. There are more features coming in then V3 update that will make it even better. I thought I’d miss the headphones with the HFX but it works fine, although not as convenient. I cant think of anything better for recording at this price point with these features. Good luck with the album. Wish I could motivate my lot to do something, anything, collaborative.
  18. Yeah, on a board is perfect. I was trying to get away from using one so ended up using mine just on the floor. My HFX was great for this, but I couldn’t justify keeping both and the Stomp is more an all round box for me.
  19. Nice one. My only issue the Stomp for live use is its size, it’s easy to kick by mistake. Also when using external foot switches it’s hard to see if they are on. Minor issues really.
  20. No reason at all not to use the HFX. It has a few preamps and like you say, you can use IR’s or EQ. There are a few cab sim EQ settings on the Dr Tone Lab website showing its possible.
  21. No, the B3n doesnt cost anywhere near that. Looking at new prices i guess the two are pretty close. I thought it was a bit cheaper than it is now though. Agree, the B3n doesn’t have XLR, (the older B3 did) but not everyone needs or uses it, and it can still be hooked up to a PA or whatever.
  22. Sorry, I didn’t see this a page, my browser was still on the previous where you had asked. Although both are very different, they can both be used for home practice, as well as live use. Ive done both with both. Obviously the B3n is way ahead with features and uses, but it can do what the SD can do for less money.
  23. Zoom B3n Multi effects box,
  24. The MODX arrived this morning. Ive been playing on it most off the day. Very impressed with it. It feels cheap, very light and plasticity feel, but the keyboard is ok. Sounds are great and it seems a lot easier to navigate than my Korg N5. Amazed that it works so well with Cubasis on my iPad, using just one lead. Dont even need jack leads or midi leads, just a USB cable. How times have changed.
  25. Yep. Another ‘how the hell did that happen’ post. I had a SBMM Ray34 when they first came out. Cost me £400 new. Now over double that.
