  1. Not wanting to sound flash, but as we went in to lockdown I upgraded my (2017) iPad Pro, to this years model. Its really helped me get through the lcckdown, as well as music making etc. No regrets at all.
  2. Yeah, i was going to mention Bobby as well. I can do it ok, but never really find the right time to do it. In fact i can do it better when playing pick style without a pick. I just noticed all that fret buzz in Guys latest video. That would drive me nuts if my bass did that, and it has driven me nuts in the past, but then you hear it in context and its all gone. Just goes to show.
  3. Same, although I’d add Susan Penhaligon well.
  4. I tend to prefer the tone of palm muting, and i tend to use that a lot (probably too much), so very rarely bother with the FW. It looks cool on the bass though so its always there.
  5. Thanks for the post. Makes me want to try another set now.
  6. This is the one i have https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000CCIVCA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  7. Surprised no threads on Sire basses can be found if you search for them. Been going for a few years and much talked about. I think all the information has already been posted so want bother here.
  8. This is what I’m struggling with with the JT vids, the lack of making a real effort. Not complaining, but just surprised he hasn’t put more production thought in to it. Odd coming from a band that were heavily in to tend setting etc. Nice to hear that he plays it as well as i do (and with a pick) lol.
  9. He has many other videos up but this impressed me the most. Just as well he had the fret markers eh? 😎
  10. it normally gets to YT after a day or so.
  11. I think they were only there for the pick playing 😁 Very well played though. All 3 styles executed perfectly.
  12. I’m learning to live 24 hours a day with the GF. Believe me, its harder than any of the songs mentioned here 😂😂
  13. Thanks. To be clear, i have a P34 and had a 435 (for a short time) and have played a P35. I prefer the tone of the 435, it sounded a bit closer to my fender, and was a lot lighter. If i could go back to last summer had thought about ti more I would have got a 434 instead of the P34, purely on preference and nothing at all wrong with the P34.
  14. When your wages are instantly cut by 40% and all gigs cancelled, a new bass just doesn't seem a priority lol.
  15. I was blown away with how light it felt. Stupidly i sent it back, but have been enquiring about buying it back.
  16. Just came across this on YT. I really felt for the keyboard tech. Great mix though.
  17. That black P looks like my old Squier JV. I put the same pick guard on mine. In fact i found the PG a few weeks ago. Covered with hologram stickers from the 80’s lol. As for those lovely burst Yamahas, thats not helping my 435 GAS. Wish i had got my P34 in burst now.
  18. I'm gagging for the 435 I bought a couple of months ago but sent it back when we went in to lockdown. Trying to buy it back from the shop. It weighed spot on 8lbs and sounded better than my P34.
  19. Give me that headstock over a G&L one any day. At least this one can help proctect me from drunk punters 😇
  20. Been modding this over the last couple of years. Think ill leave it as it is now.
  21. Thanks. I’d love a red Jazz version (although not at the moment). I was lucky to get this. I went from having no idea about them to buying it used on line within a few hours. Got it for £700 IIR, inc gig bag. Ive always loved the look of black hardware on Sadowsky’s, so this was my inspiration to ‘black it up’. Also now sporting a EMG GB pup. Not keen on fat P bass necks, but this is slim enough to feel really comfortable.
  22. This is my fav. No matter what other basses i get i cant stop playing this one. Its a bass ill never sell (mainly as you cant buy them anymore). Heavily modified by me of course.
