I only just got around to watching it. Meh lol. I love JT’s playing, he is a big influence on me, but the video was boring. I also cringed when he did what Ronnie Wood does, that head wobble when explaining something musical. Still, not everyone is cut out to be a YT sensation. Guy=3, JT=0 so far.

I think, as with bass cab, we will have different preferences and shouldn’t rely too much on YT, etc. As you said, in the flesh might be very different. You cant really portray the kick and punch you will get in the room. I’d say the review are helpful to point out negatives, like not being able to handle certain things. As with headphones some are better than others with different genre’s. im starting to warm to the MTM’s now, but cant help feel they are over priced and you are paying for the compactness and fancy DSP. I cant get my head around them being good for accurate recording though. I know you wont need that feature, but they seem to be sold as such. End of the day, we have an abundance of EQ options so i don’t think you can go too far wrong. I do like the idea of slightly larger speakers on small stands either side of the desk. This is will cut down on any vibrations.

Yeah, i cant imagine David liking too much of it 😁

No problem. I dont watch s lot of his videos as its guitar based, but he knows his stuff. Did you know the stock presets that have JS in the name are his? Probably did, old news lol. Not sure if we have this one posted already. Shame he wasnt using a bass. -
Helix Floor/LT/HX/Stomp/PodGo owners' Club - Tips, Ideas & Patches

We were recently talking about using the Helix as an audio interface. Came across this from Jason. Thought i might help and clear some things up. -
Was going to say that but thought I’d get shot down. I thought it was quite pedestrian, but I realise he isnt known for his slap.

Get a Q/strip pedal and have loads of options 😉
-
I also have a feeling the surge in new instruments might come from the fact that we cant go and try them out now, so the only option is to buy. Less time wasters i guess. Just noticed Spain is reportedly going to allow outdoor concerts with 200 or less people from Monday. That wouldn’t effect my audience 😔

I know we have a short thread about this already, but its now live. What a lovely bass.

Yeah. Like you say, things are changing, although i doubt live music will ever die, its just going to change a bit for while. In a few years time i tihnk we will be back to normal, assume the virus is under control. To be honest all those acoustic versions of songs are draining me and i hope this is not the way forward.

The 1x15 on there is also very good. I do think a BDDI or the much cheaper Behringer BDI-21 would be a better option, as you will have more control over them. This scenario is exactly why they were developed.

I’ve been using this in place of a cab sim for a while now. It’s very good (not sure how close it is though) and seems to have more of a kick over the cab sim.

Yeah, when this does all start to normalise people still need to eat and live, and at the moment with the government covering a lot of us for loss of earrings we might not be feeling the crunch yet, Then there’s there companies that make music gear, if sales slow down there will be redundancies there. With music venues gone there will be so many more out of work, a lot that have never had a proper job ;-). If you are in that position you cant help but worry.

Same here. Not always keen on it with some colour bodies. but I think Sire have picked the right colour to go with the Ash bodies.
-
Yep, not saying there is only one way either. Just how I see it. Just based on my experience.

I get the sentiment, but that hardly covers everyone. In my 30+ years of playing live i have never come across anything remotely dangerous to gear, other than the odd idiot dancing too close to the PA speaker. If i spent £1500 on a good bass I’d bloody well play it to death (and do). Going out and buying a cheaper bass for gigs doesn’t seem logical to me. Well, it does in a way if you are worried about damage, but then why obses so much about high end basses, must spend all this money because it feels great, plays like a dream etc, only to go and gig with a lesser bass? It’s a tool, its like any other tool, it can get damaged, but if it works whats the problem? People seem to be thinking of resale value and not enjoying wheat they have. If you brought an expensive couch would you also by some cheap chairs to sit on so the couch can be sold at a later date for as much money as possible lol. Nothing to say buying a bass that plays well and sounds good will not last years. The OP needs to try some, and buy the one he feels is the best for him. No matter what the cost. Don’t look to sell it before you even get it, to get something better, because if you get the one that you like how can it get any better. ....says the man with 6 basses lol.

As per our background chat, I’d like to ask those who know about these things if this is possible? Ive used ASIO since it first came out or low latency. The question is, is there really a huge difference in sound quality with using ASIO drivers? Maybe ive just always used them without releasing for playback, but i thought it was just a high quality way of bypassing the audio system bus and talking directly with the sound card.

One in each corner of the room. Sorted !!!!

Just buy another Fearless F112 and use them as a stereo pair 🙂
