  1. Yes, that’s exactly what I’m planning, although I’ve been told I’ll get nose and interference. I’ve got the relevant adapters coming next week. I have to at least give it a try. I may end up not using the comp after a while, after all, I’ll have the Stomp for that as well, but to start with I prefer to use the Becos as it has the meter. Cheers.
  2. I used to have a DX27, but I remember always wanting a Jupiter 8. I eventually got a used from from Digital Village for next to nothing. Traded it in for a used DX7 a year or so later. It has a grounding issue so hummed. Then I managed to get a D50. Loved it but needed some cash so i sold it.and got a M1EX cheap. When i stopped playing keys I sold that and got a Korg something or other. Had a few others the years, and still have a Korg N5. These Reface’s look very cool, and cheap. just ordered the DX anyway.
  3. Sorry, I mean to post back earlier. Yes, reversing the tip fixed it. I had forgotten about that at the time i first tried. Now my OCD is at rest. Cheers.
  4. In a previous life i was a keyboard player, and have owned a DX7, DX21 and DX100. Never really got to grips with programming them from scratch, but loved what they did. This was of course in the 90’s. My heart was won over by a Roland D50 though, and then Korg. Anyway, ive been watching some Yamaha Reface DX videos and really fancy one. Just for playing around with at home, although maybe with the band if i can figure out how to. We do have a keys player, Does anyone use one, or any of the Reface range? Just wondering what these are like to play, what with the small keys. I’m just looking to do one hand stuff, so 8 notes is fine.
  5. I’m not really sure what that means, but no, not really, ive said that, it was just something i noticed specific to this pedal. The order of the physical pedals cant be changed.
  6. No, thats not it as far as i can make out. What I’m saying is the first switch on the Roland always gets assigned to FS5, and the second to FS4, so in a way its back to front. As far as i can see FS4 and FS5 can be programmed for various things, but your cant changed FS4 to FS5 etc, EDIT: sorry, forgot to say thanks for the post 👍
  7. How do you do that’s? Ive looked in global but cant find anything. For reference my other cheap 2 way switch does go left to right (4 - 5) i know how to assign the on/off to each block, so its really more an OCD thing than a problem as such.
  8. Ah, just found two minor issues. The footswitch has to be used in non latching mode, so although the LED’s will flash, they wont stay on. Thats fine, as long as i have some indication of them being activated. Secondly, switch A gets assigned to FS5, and B to FS4. Not sure if i need to get a different TRS cable. Not a big deal as I’ll probably use B to change the channels on my amp, so that will go direct to the head, and so use A as the extra switch.
  9. Must admit I’m very happy with the Roland foot switch I got. Its very sturdy and i might end up mapping the most used effects to these, as the switches are easier to hit. Each has its own LED, along with the power LED. The LED’s follow the latching/momentary setting. I like how the two can be used together or separately as well. These two, plus my Becos Comp will be all i need for now. I suppose ill have to put them on a small board. Probably a PT Nano, which seems the perfect size.
  10. Everything ive read says patch change only. Would be great if it did block on off though as its a cool foot switch. I had thought about having multiple patches with different blocks on, but thats a bit too involved for what I’m looking to do.
  11. Same here, but as stated, what sounds good is the correct order.
  12. Nice one. We have a gig on the 4th July booked, but haven’t heard if its going ahead and really doubt it will. I dont think my drummer would do it, but he is on his way out anyway.
  13. Same, for all my basses. I do have XT’s on my Yamahas at the moment. Ok on the P34 but just prefect on my 425. Not sure i will stick with these strings, ive yet to actually gig them, but its funny how the same string works with one bass and is just ok on another.
  14. Yep. Im going to be having a clear out when I get back to work. I lent it to a customer just before lockdown. Just need to get it back.
  15. When I get back to work there might be ;-).
  16. Right. Totally changed what ive said earlier and going for a very small pedal board. Ive been looking at ways to power the Stomp and my Becos comp. i dont want to buy an expensive PSU for this, but I’m wondering if I’m thinking about it the wrong way. I’m happy to run two wall warts if I have to, but I’m wondering if there would there be any issues if i used the Line6 PSU to power both. Obviously ill need an adapter to bing the 2.5mm down to 2.1, but as far as i can see thats it. Anyone done this before?
  17. I cringe ever times JT says ‘bass man’
  18. Yeah, i was surprised with that. I’m definitely hearing a Guy Prat style in all these now.
  19. Nice one. I’m not a huge fan of the Drives in that, but i love the clean boost tone print. Ive used various PSU’s with mine, inc daisy chaining it off a 1 Spot wall plug with other pedals. It can be a bit fussy with others but ive not had issues with that, my Cioks DC-5 or EBS wall wart.
  20. Could be a bug. Might be worth reporting it.
  21. You don’t have the pan position assigned to a switch do you?
  22. For me it has to be my Fender P. Not only are these MIA’s very rare, I found this on line in on a small dealer’s website for £700 posted, inc nice gig bag. or, the two free Sire gig bags i get sent to me when i asked about buying one here in the UK. Direct from the top man at Sire.
  23. Also had fantastic CS from Hipshot. Begging of the year I brought some black tuners from Bass Direct. The bushes that came with them worked ok, but they were a tiny bit smaller than the ones that i took off. I emailed Hipshot on the Friday afternoon, and after a coupe of emailed back and forth over the weekend they posted a full set of the correct size bushes out to me, for free on Monday.
  24. Latest video is up
  25. Ok. I’m now thinking this one. Has LED’s, and can be used as an amp switcher as well. So if I’m right i can use one switch as FS4 and the others to change the channels on my Fender Rumble. https://www.amazon.co.uk/BOSS-FS-6-Dual-Foot-Switch/dp/B000RW2A0O?th=1 Not what i started out asking about, but a lot cheaper than buying the Pod Go or a Midi switch.
