  1. Even Billy has been posting about how he likes it over on FB. He even posted a video earlier today in the Helix for bass group.
  2. I came so close to selling my Stomp, so glad I kept hold of it. The new update has given me a new enthusiasm for using it live again. Live 😂😂😂
  3. Yeah, it’s like a reminder you have edited but not saved the patch. Another small but cool update.
  4. Haha, yeah, that’s what I meant. Why not buy another?
  5. I’m seeing a lot of past tense ‘had’ comments and wondering why if these are ‘best’ then why aren’t they your current amp? I’m just bored and asking, not questioning your choices.
  6. Must admit I couldn’t get a filter effect that matches my MXR BF. Close enough though.
  7. When I got back in to playing bass I started with a Ashdown EB, and then moved to a MAG307. When I out grew that I went with MB, for a good few years. It took me a bit of adjusting because the low is set much lower than on the Ashdown’s. It was that 100hz that I missed.
  8. I don’t recall it coming with a USB-C cable, only Lightning and micro USB IIR. But yeah, the Stomp is the way to go for now.
  9. Cheers. I think I’ll stick with the Stomp, especially as I’d use it for bass and Guitar anyway. I have an iRig HD sitting at work, but I’ve since changed my iPad so have no use for it. I’ve just been reading that Logic Pro and FCPX will be arriving on the iPad Pro sometime in the next yearly two. That will be a game changer IMO.
  10. Are you using a 2018-200 iPad Pro? I was thinking of getting the Scarlett Solo but don’t want to have to use a PSU for it. I have to do this via a hub with my old 2i4 (I’ve been saying it’s a 2i2 but recently realised it’s a 2i4). Pretty sure the 3rd gen Solo also needs the power as well though so may just stick with Bass-Stomp-ipad.
  11. I’ve used my Focusrite with my iPad. Works fine, but it takes a lot more leads and boxes compared to just going straight through the Stomp. As I’m only going to record guitar and bass this works better for me.
  12. I found all my patches in the Stomp are set to 0db output. This is fine for my rig and headphone practice, but upping the gain to around +5db or so made a huge difference to the way my iPad would record the input. I don’t think there is any real reason I need to back this off for using with my rig, but I do.
  13. I’d be surprised if the Floor unit didn’t have more routing options.
  14. Just saw this posted on FB https://www.sweetwater.com/insync/line-6-helix-the-overachieving-audio-interface/
  15. That’s just for USB in as far as I can see. There is also the option to just increase the output gain for each patch. I’ve used this method with my iPad and it works fine. Just need to remember to put it back afterwards. I suppose I could keep a copy of it just for recording purposes.
  16. Love that the clipping Indicators are always visible, but can anyone actually see them on the stomp from a standing position? I suppose they are more for setting up the patches (and are much more visible in edit mode)
  17. Been playing with the new Comp, and it’s much easier for me to get the effect I want. I gave up on the Helix comps and got a Becos, and really, really love that one. I think the Helix ones are a bit too complicated for my small brain, but the new one seems very close to my Becos and I can hear it’s doing a very similar job.
  18. This is how I see it. Once the signal goes in to the Helix it’s converted to digital. It will stay like that until it’s either output though the analogue outputs, or out of the DAW. Probably not a lot in it if you use another interface in front, but it will be there. i just tried using my Stomp in to Adobe Audition on my PC and had bags of volume on tap. Not used a Mac for audio so can’t help with that.
  19. I noticed that a well but i loaded a back up and things all went back to normal. Because I did it all in one go I missed that there are new bass presets (apparently), so might do a system reset and have a look later, and then restore again.
  20. Only for the synth songs, then it’s gets strapped back up 😂
  21. Just untie your keyboard players left hand and let him do what he/she is supposed to be doing 😉
  22. Having a bit of a nightmare with quotes in replies on iPad. Sometimes the cursor jumps in to the quote, and there seems no way to get out and back to my part of the reply. Have to back out of the whole process.
  23. No, not had much chance to try the update out yet, just the bits I was lookIng forward to. Doubt I’ll ever use the splitter.
