  1. I’m pretty sure I’ve read loads about the power discrepancy with the 750, especially over on TB. I’m not really clued up on all the different power rattings and what they mean, but I’m pretty sure I’ve not read (many) posts about the head not being loud enough for the job.
  2. You could by a screen protector for a large smart phone and cut it down.
  3. My post was not about making a profit, thats not what this thread is about IMO, it was about pointing out it can be brought for much less new (and with the being it’s new brings). This has nothing to do with vintages gear, a bass that has been sold 3 times and each time the cost creeps up etc, it’s about pointing out the item is currently available for a lot less brand new. . I don’t intend to break any rules here, I’d stay out of any of this sort of thing, but I also don’t have to agree with the rules. I prefer to warn people if they are getting ripped off or scammed.
  4. Although I don’t do either, I would prefer to post publicly if I knew the item was way overpriced (or had known issues) I would feel like I’m sticking my nose in if I questioned a seller privately, especially if I had no intention of buying the time anyway. Why bother, seller would probably know what they are doing, and still go ahead with it. Posting in the thread would be the same, but would at least alert anyone thinking of buying it to the fact that it can be brought a lot cheaper. Then it’s down to them.
  5. Yeah, I’m talking about rehearsals (so not going through a PA), and using my rig as the only source of bass, so again, not through a PA.
  6. It’s not just tone/EQ though, it’s authority, the way the cab interacts with the amp/bass etc. Going from the F112 to the CH212 made a huge difference in how the bass was perceived in the mix. And of course a 1x12 will not do quite what a 212 will as far as heft and fullness (given both are high end boxes) so maybe for me it was just a 1x12 didn’t work for me rather than a FRFR. i got some fantastic tones out of the 1x12 with the Stomp, but I could never get a decent live tone. Plus the heads I was using made a tonal difference, so to me even if the cab was neutral the signal arriving at it wasn’t.
  7. Im keeping out of that thread, as I too prefer a coloured cab/rig. It’s just not rock and roll lol.
  8. I have a drawer full of the best must haves... no idea why I don’t use any of it 😂🙄 it’s easy to get caught up on here, but very hard to ignore the next best thing when it’s this price.
  9. No, because I can’t afford it, and don’t like fake road worn basses 😂 Isn’t there a thread a about a Guy Pratt bass on here? This one
  10. Love this song. We used to do this. Good rendition.
  11. I thought the BT-1 could already allow you to play along with CD’s. Isn’t that the point of it?
  12. Just watched this interview Guy did for Thomann’s a while ago. Very funny in places. He also mentions a new book. I love the question the interviewer asked him about Bowie at 3.18. Very bizarre.
  13. Well both are the same colour, if he says anything just convince him he got it wrong 😂
  14. But this part of the thread was about using a Stomp, so my suggestion wasn’t aimed at Al, just making a comment on his reply to the original issue and pointing out there is global HPF available so no need to program it in to each patch. It’s not Al that was asking about EQ.
  15. Wouldn’t it be better to just use the global HPF this case?
  16. I almost brought Cubasis 3 a while ago, until I saw it’s £32. They are having a laugh. I did recently buy an audio app called Hokusai 2. That coast £10. I wanted an app that allowed me to trim out sections of long wav files. Not just split them like Gb can do. We record all our rehearsals and gigs, and normally I’d sit at my desktop Pc and do it in Audition, but I’m doing my best to be more couch based. It’s a really good app, loads of built in effects and some nice pro effects, but I’d still go for GB for multitrack stuff.
  17. Blimey, you have mates in all the right places lol. Last week i got a 2020 iPad Pro 12.9”. Not a huge step up from my existing 2017 model, but some nice improvements none the less. I kept running you out of space on my 64GB, so was intending to get something with more space. Sitting around all day got the better of me so I dug out a credit card and hit the buy button. No regrets.
  18. Dunno, who? 😂 Although I like to dabble in GB, last year I brought a cheap Zoom R8. Basically a digital portastudio. Proper sliders and built in drum machine, basic amp sims etc. Not bad for £140. I thought it would be easier to use than using my iPad. In a way it is, it’s more immediate, but it seems really strange using something that isn’t connected to the rest of the world. A bit old skool
  19. I’ve just started using my Scarlett 2i2 with my new iPad and I’m amazed how well it works, doesn’t even need a psu as it’s bus powered. I hope you get it sorted. This should be our most creative time.
  20. Unfortunately im not that good with GB, although i can find my way around it. Sounds more like a iOS issue though. First steps would be to re start the phone. Maybe delete GB and re install. Could also be the interface. when i use a certain interface with my ipad it causes all manor of hang ups and stuttering. Not so with with 2i2 though. Have you tried using the built in mic? just wondering if that helps, although obviously not the answer. It might show where the fault is coming from. It does seem to be running ok on my XS Max, and even my sons 6S.
  21. When I first heard the haircut video a while a go I was quite surprised how well the audio worked. This was with my Bose QC35’s. Just listened on my cheaper in ears that I use for the gym and although still convincing, not quite as detailed. Quite a lot of those videos sound quite convincing to me. I think it helps to have visuals as well, as this helps the brain position what you are hearing. Not to sure about the music tracks of Spotify etc. Without knowing where the instruments are supposed to be its harder to track them. Cool effect though and it does seem to open up the mix, but also adds a lot of extra phase shifting.
  22. Haha, I noticed John had gone a while ago. Not sure if he was banned or just got fed up being the only one that was right all the time lol. Had some good chats with him though.
