That is true. I've used this compressor for sometime and found it to be a transparent way of smoothing the irregular sound from each string. It is not an "effect" type of compression, it is smooth and very simple to use. I found the ideal setting with nearly every bass I have tried is to set both knobs to the 12 o'clock setting. Simple plug and play. There is no loss of bass frequency, even a low B, like some of the cheaper compressors.

I have for sale my Sideman Compressor. This is a very natural and transparent compressor that can be worn on your belt or put on top of your amp as I have used it. It is powered by 9 volt battery or power supply (not included). Comes boxed. Has had a very simple life used in my practice room at home. The compression is perfect for bass guitar. Taurus are a fantastic company. I've been using their amps and cabs for the last 5 years. The sound is clean with lots of punch. I use my rig as a clean palate, very much like a FRFR. Add a Helix or HeadRush or pedal board to change the flavour or just plug your bass in and hear what it actually sounds like. Have a bump on me.
