  1. I've now got a hard case and box. Postage £50 fully insured for the UK and £70 insured for the EU.
  2. Due to me playing exclusively 5 strings basses I'm putting up my 1975 P Bass for sale or Trade. This bass was bought on here and is totally genuine and original. Pots are dated 1974, the pickup has been checked and is correct. S Weight is 3.6kg with the bridge and pickup covers on. Strung with Ti flats. Comes with a NEW Gator hard case and Box for shipping. Truss rod works perfectly. Action is low with a straight neck and pickups that are powerful with the typical vintage P bass sound. Everything works as it should. This is a fantastic vintage bass that can be gigged, used in a studio or simply put under the bed for a future sale. Would prefer a trade for a 5 string.... what have you got? Postage is available for £50 fully insured for 🇬🇧 UK and £70 for the 🇪🇺 EU. Hit me guys with your trades. Any questions, please make contact. My Feedback, old and new going back 11 years.
  3. Bought from Bass Direct a few months ago. Fresh in pack. £25 posted. Sorry, can't rotate the pictures.

    Compressors

I've had like many on this forum an on and off love affair with compressors. I sit at rehearsals thinking that I REALLY NEED to squash my sound a bit and even out my playing. A quick look around the net for the latest compressor review and I get my credit card out. After as little as a few days I stop using it because I really don't like the way it messed up the musicality of my playing. Now I'm on dangerous ground when referring to subjective words like musicality. I've must of used or owned around 25 different pedal and rack types over the last 15 years. Then something wonderful happened. I bought a Union Tube and Transistor LAB compressor based on the LA-2A studio unit. All I can say is its the most musical, transparent and subtle compressor I've heard. The down side to it is the cost. Up side its a keeper.
  5. Pawel bought my Taurus head and cab. Great guy and a very easy transaction.
  6. Can't understand why this combo has not sold. This would cost over £1000 to replace. At £350 it's a bargain. Taurus gear is very reliable and sounds excellent. It has a real punch to the sound that I have not found in any other make of amps... And I've tried a few. 😂 Buy with confidence. I'm a long term Taurus user ( no afiliation to the brand in any way).
  7. I'm moving this cab on to make way for more Taurus gear. It's a light weight 1x12 cab with adjustable tweeter. Weight is around 17kg with easy lift side handles. It's in very good condition and sounds wonderful like all Taurus gear. Very clear with punch. Only used in a church worship band for the last 10 months. Cost new over £700. Grab a bargain, only £150 collected. Pickup only as I have no packing. Price reflects this as I understand driving to pickup takes time. I'm in Sandhurst very close to M3 / M4 motorways. Power Handling: 350W/rms Impedance: 8ohm Speakers: 1x12" + Tweeter Sensitivity: 98dB Frequency Response: 40Hz-15kHz Connectors: combo SPEAKON + JACK Tweeter switch: 100%, 60%; OFF Cover: black carpet Dimensions: (H-W-D) 595 x 410 x 395mm
  8. Please let us know how you get on.
  9. Used Planet Waves Tuner Pedal with strobe style tuning. Very heavy duty design. Perfect for gigging or studio use. £20.00 includes UK postage.
  10. Fantastic Compressor for sale with the ability to add the uncompressed sound via the double back blend knob. In great condition condition with no velcro on the bottom. Goes from subtle to full on squish. No trades please. £50 posted to UK address.
  11. https://thebassgallery.com/collections/all/products/patrick-eggle-milan-v My Green one before the sticker was removed.
  12. I'm the new owner of the bright green Milan V that was also for sale at the Gallery. It also had the sticker on the front of the bass. The Gallery removed it before sending it to me. Like others here I always wanted to own an Eggle but could never afford one or they just were never available for sale. The Gallery had two my bright green one or the blue one in the above picture. I went for the green as it just so..... Um? Green. It plays great and I'm a happy 👯. Just put an active kent Armstrong eq in to match the pickups and it sounds incredible. It is a great bass.
  13. My 1x12 cab is 17kg and is a one hand lift and the head fits in a gig bag with cables and band stuff. Add a bass and that's it for a gig or rehearsal. Perfect.
  14. Hi. I've used Taurus amps and Cabs for the last three years. I find them to have a modern scooped sound with good strong bass and warmth. They do not have a sterile digital sound. The MLO eq section is my favourite eq I have ever used. If you crank up the bass or cut the mids the overall volume does not get louder or quieter, it remains at the same volume. This is very clever and really works. The overall quality is clean and clear with great punch. I get the impression that there is a little compression added to the sound of your bass. I don't mind this at it adds punch. I use a Qude 300 and TS112N cab in a church worship group and a unplugged / acoustic style band. What model are you thinking of buying as I have used a few other amps and cabs in my Taurus journey.
