1. The second picture shows that you could get three strap locks for one and half straps.... hope that makes sense. Price drop to £15
2. Kert bought a bass from me. We had great communication and the transaction went really well. Thanks Kert for a simple and pleasurable sale.
3. The second picture shows complete fittings for the strap and strap buttons but unfortunately only one screw. You will need one screw to have two straps and two basses fitted up.
4. Guys, I've got a job lot of Strap Locks. One complete set and various bits. Picture one is of the complete set and picture two is of the bits. Everything for £15 plus £3 postage. UK sale only. Paypal gift , cash or bank transfer. Thanks.
5. Hi Guys, Ive been using Chrome flat-wounds and really love the sound but was wondering if there are other alternatives. I use the 40 -100 set for a balanced tension and brightish sound. Are there other brands out there that give this brighter sound with a medium to high tension. Thanks.
6. I'm not an expert but would have to agree the body is from a 90s bass. I've had the misfortune to have this happen to me. I was sold a MIJ P bass that had a fake body. It's very unfortunate but it looks like you have been stitched up as I was.
7.
I am fairly regularly astounded at how bad a lot of for sale posts are. Blurry (or no) pictures, no suggestion of where the seller is, no description, etc etc. The second hand market is really struggling just now, why people aren't making more effort I do not know. If a seller can't be bothered to take photos that are in focus for a bass that they're asking £££ for then I'm not sure I trust them to be bothered to pack it properly either.
Totally agree.
8. Holy cr*p, that was quick. I'm thinking of getting a 70s P and this was on the list. Cant hang around here....
9. Happened to me last night. Ive been playing with an acoustic guitar player who also sings. We played through our usual numbers I noticed I played a wrong note over her guitar strum. I asked if it sounded wrong and she said no..... later I looked it up and replayed the tune and I was right or is that wrong
10.
Buy with confidence... bought a Maruszcyk Jake from 'Spyder' and it was exactly as described.
Thanks for the kind words.
11. Weight is 8 and one half pounds on the bathroom scales. Colour is Fiesta Red.
12.
This is a bargain and a half.
This is indeed a bargain. I have the opportunity to buy a high end Maruszczyk at a good price. Im only £550 short so the Elwood is up for sale at that 'needed' price. If the other bass is sold then I will gladly keep the Elwood as it is the best jazz style instrument that I have ever played. That is saying something as I've had high end Sandbergs and Shukers. The Elwood is simply a better instrument..... ( cost does not come into this statement ) .... It just begs to be played. This Elwood is my third Maruszczyk and the best yet. I really wish I could have two basses, but the Elwood has to go for the new bass to come in. If anyone is interested PLEASE make yourself known with a PM as I will have to remove this ad or refuse to sell if the other bass goes.
13. new pics....
14. Due to a high end Maruszczyk bass coming available for sale Im putting up my Elwood active 4 string up for a quick sale. A very quick sale is wanted so the price is crazy low £550 collected. Cost me 1400 euro ( £1050 ) In perfect condition. I will not post out..... you can collect or arrange courier. Collection from my work in Reading or home in Sandhurst. I will withdraw the bass if the one I want sells. 38mm Fender Jazz size nut Matching nitro paint headstock Jazz profile neck Glockenklang active 2 band electronics Haussel single coil vintage jazz pickups in rosewood cases. 15.
Something is telling me to try flats on this, I've never really used them before, anyone have any recommendations for a flats newbie?
I use Chrome flats on my Elwood. They are brighter than most flats so you retain a little more edge to still cut through a band mix.
16.
Almost certainly it's by design. The Tone Hammer 500 is the same
My tone hammer did the same. Its a great idea if you want a clean sound and or have a hot output bass.
17. Took a few nice pic's of my Elwood. Hope you enjoy. Sorry.... I cant flip them ?
