    3 and 5 When I had a Euro 4LX I tried different pickups from EMG to change the sound. They make a huge range of pickup configurations that fit in your cover size. see link......http://www.emgpickups.com/bass/extended-series.html The Tone Pump is great preamp, put it back in. IMHO

    Ive been looking for a 2013 made bass to celebrate the birth of my son Rufus. After much head scratching on what to do I fell upon this by accident. It was made 5 weeks before Rufus was born and I fell for it as soon as I saw it. Ive had Jazz type basses for years and ultimately have been dissatisfied with the sound. I couldn't put my finger on it , I was just doubting my sound. Last week I sold my very good Maruszczyk Jazz type bass and added some cash tucked away for the ' Rufus bass '. Well it arrived yesterday and I cant put it down..... I really cant put into words the quality of the sound so Im posting a few pics instead.     I use a MARUSZCZYK INSTRUMENTS BassTank that has two independent channels for DB and electric. It is clean with just enough personality to lift it from the studio / hifi camp. Weighs 7kg, not ultra light but light enough. Plenty of power on tap and built like a tank. Hence the name.

    The second picture shows complete fittings for the strap and strap buttons but unfortunately only one screw. You will need one screw to have two straps and two basses fitted up.

    Hi Guys, Ive been using Chrome flat-wounds and really love the sound but was wondering if there are other alternatives. I use the 40 -100 set for a balanced tension and brightish sound. Are there other brands out there that give this brighter sound with a medium to high tension. Thanks.

    I'm not an expert but would have to agree the body is from a 90s bass. I've had the misfortune to have this happen to me. I was sold a MIJ P bass that had a fake body. It's very unfortunate but it looks like you have been stitched up as I was.
