A feeler.... Tecamp Puma 1000 with branded Tecamp soft case and original rack ears. 2 x 500 watts into 4ohms per side, or bridgeable as 1000w into 8ohms. Features a nice compressor too. Ideally I'm after something lighter and smaller, otherwise this is a great amp. It's light and small, but I'm after something the size of a F500 that used to own, and overall the F500 had tone more suited to my ears. It came supplied to me with the original rack ears (that appear to have been used). Since I bought the amp, it has lived in the Tecamp soft case that I bought brand new, and is also in very good condition. Bump, still here. Played this today and it is very tempting to keep it. Don't be fooled my the modern looks, its meant to sound like a 60s jazz.

[/quote] Well, I guess this sounds more of a jazz bass tone. The pups don't have the wide frequency range of the MTD, and IMO the Glock preamp is more open/natural sounding than the MTD pre. I think the MTD has what I can best describe as a slightly compressed tone.

Not sure how many were made, but I've only ever seen 4 for sale, and 2 of them became mine. This is the only one I've seen with a matching head-stock. Selling some gear now to make space, and longer term I'll prefer the dual-coils on my other bass vs the fat-stacks on this one. Since then I've added a brand new set of hipshot ultralite tuners that I will include if the bass sells for what I'm asking (or close!). Otherwise I'll put the original tuners back on it. A great used bass, that is very close IMO to the US 535, but with single coils, and a little more on the traditional end of the sonic scale. It has some great sounds in there, but the ones that personally suit me are covered by my Foxrox Octron, so consequently I don't see myself getting much use out of this. In decent condition, and the LED tends not to light up, but it does sometimes! Nice sounding, and IME quite subtle (I thought it sounded really nice in tandem with my octaver). Now superceded by a 3Leaf Proton, hence time to move it on.
