Atelier Baby Z PJ (Mustang style 30.5" short scale) - *SOLD*

I have the opportunity to buy a bass that doesn't come along too often, so I'm putting this on the block. Last in, first out. I've enjoyed playing it (at home) but standard/long scale is my thing. In very good condition, through body strung with Rotosound 76 flats. PJ Atelier pups and active electronics. Vol, pan, stacked bass/treble. Passive mode also can be engaged by pulling the vol pot. Great shortscale bass with narrow string spacing, 16mm at the bridge I think. Comes in a branded Atelier gig bag. Tryout/collection in West London. (Potentially can deliver anywhere down the M4 corridor and all the way to Fishguard, but not looking to post at this time) Any questions, just ask. Sadly no trades, as cash will go towards a bass I've already committed to buy. The eagle eyed will spot a piece of paper on the back of the headstock, this is just to hide the serial number. No damage, and no drama, just basic scammer protection measures. Edit: IMO Atelier basses are extremely well put together, fit and finish is up there with anything I've played. Just a solid quality bass for not too much money. Edit: Bathroom scale weight: 3.5kg / 7.7lb Nut width = 38.6mm according to my digital calipers.

I recently bought an EBS Octabass Blue Label (the one with the green label 🤔), and it seems to track well and can be pretty clean sounding (or synthy), depending on the settings. I think definitely worth checking out - I like it a lot. There's a switch to optimise the tracking for playing in a higher or lower register, which has an effect, but IMO it just gives a different tonal character rather than making a big difference in how it tracks, which is very good whichever way it's set.

This is excellent, love it 👌

Oh yes, i will definitely get them repaired, no plans to sell them, i just want them to work properly when I use them

Cool thanks I will look into that. What about cleaning options, is there a simple way to try to clean the switches?

Hi all, This might be a general issue not related to 3Leaf pedals specifically, but I'm having issues with the footswitch on both my Proton v1.5 and Groove Regulator pedals. I assume it's the switch as sometimes the pedals engage, sometimes they don't. When they do engage, they work fine. Would these pedals be using a standard footswitch that can be repaired and/or replaced with no bother? How would one clean the switch in case it's just an accumulation of dirt causing the problem? Thanks!

Damn, just checked out a demo of this and it sounds great, and now I want one.

Rotosound 76 flats work fine on a Mustang style bass with string through body set up. Definitely would be too long if string traditionally from the bridge. So many variables here without knowing the specific scale length, how they get strung at the bridge end, the headstock/machine head configuration, how much silk (if any) is on the string, whether there is any taper on the string wrap etc.

Taclus! Where would you have it? If in Cardiff it's still easier for me to get to from London than if I were still living in Caernarfon 😁

Heard this way back, late 80s i think. It always stuck with me, and was probably the first time I heard GB doing the unison vocal scat/guitar thing.

I owned the "budget" version some years ago, GWB35 i think. It was a great bass, but the main "problem" was the narrow string spacing, with no option to adjust it wider.

From Masters At Work's Nuyorican Soul record (I prefer the studio version 😁), which is very much worth a listen. There's also a great version of Bob James' Nautilus on there.

Well, i would have said try the microbass 2 or 3 in the same way as I suggested the rack mount pre. Then you'd have 3 channels including a drive channel. But you said you only wanted rack and no drive. 😁

Was just googling the serial number for background on this bass and found this old thread on TB: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/ibanez-sugi-gwb1005-gary-willis-fretless-bass-7-4lbs.1115318/?amp=1419022178 "model made by Sugi Guitars in 2006 (first year of production). There are only a handful of these made per year and each has been hand-signed by Gary himself." So I'm guessing with that SG200600001 serial number that what you have there is the very first production GW bass. Nice!

Gotta love an MTD bass. Did you by chance try a Super 4/5 at BD?
