  2. Just playing catch-up after a long weekend on the I-o-W to catch Cream of Clapton concert (Paul Ruck was amazing, house band excellent, and bass player so good that I seriously thought about cancelling this build and throwing myself off Yarmouth pier). Anyway, I'm better now - and considerably cheered up by Andy's progress with Rascal Lyte Mkll ☺️
  3. "... took about 40 minutes overall ..." Ah, the joys of doing a job for which you have all the necessary knowledge, tools and experience. If I'd done this you'd be talking 40 hours - mostly spent thinking and plucking up courage - and it would STILL be wrong 😕
  4. I think Linus27 makes a good point. Haven't used any of the specific heads listed in the survey. My 'other options' vote is for the Mesa Subway 800+ based on my experience of gigging two Two10S cabs with that head in a classic rock covers band. If I'm using the Mesa with a single Two10S I just switch the impedance to 12ohms.
  5. Thanks Andy - I just love it when you talk dirty 😄
  6. Good to know that the neck has been awarded the Andyjr seal of approval. I know it's early days but I'm really liking the way things are shaping up 🙂 Did you have to alter the neck pocket?
  7. I've had two 30" Cazpar 4s and they are wonderful instruments - as is pretty much everything Adrian does! I bet this 5 with the extra couple of inches on the scale-length will make someone on here a very happy bunny. If I needed a 5er I'd be in there, no hesitation.
  8. Fully agree with the OP review of the Two10. I also have a One10 which I love for home practice and small gigs with the original material Americana band I occasionally play with. I've also owned a Super Midget T, which I moved on as the HF capability didn't bring anything to my party. At the moment I own a pair of SC3s and a pair of Two10s and am part-way through a thorough comparison to establish the best rig for my main gigging band (classic rock covers mainly in pubs and other small/medium venues). The idea is to try the various permutations of my BF cabs and the amps I own at our weekly gigs for a couple of months. Early days but I can report that the SC3s/Mesa Subway 800+ and Two10s/Genzler Magellan 800 are equally amazing if slightly different combinations. Although I'm not a slapper (!?), the fairly aggressive pick style that I regularly use is best reproduced by the SC3s. Hopefully I will be able to post a proper comparison review topic along the lines of the excellent OP above before too long.
  9. And it's 'welcome' from me too!
  10. Blimey, that's an awful lot of bass for not much money.
  11. Brilliant amps these! Not just great sounds but also amazing functionality and top build quality.
  12. I'm gonna have a party when this one sells! Buying my WTX-264 is one of the best things I ever did.
  13. Very nice to look at, to hear, and no doubt to play. What strings are you using?
  14. Let's have another bump for this beauty!!
  15. Me too! Hang on a minute - I AM the lucky owner 😃
  16. Me too!
  17. OK, side dots are definitely in - can't have any no-shows at the bash ☺️
  18. Not saying I don't want swifts at the 12th either 😉
  19. Oh no - I hate unmarked fretboards 😕
  20. Just found the Eden necks online - look good. I see why they're called 'paddle' necks - presumably that enables any type of head-stock design.
  21. Agreed - I am pleasantly surprised too.
  22. It is indeed Frank!
  23. Hey Andy, is that THE Eden as in David Eden of amplifier fame? If so then even if the necks are made in China they should be subjected to a pretty good quality control regime in the US before being shipped out to customers. Great to see the body trimmed down btw - exactly as I wanted it! With band-sawing skills like yours you're in the wrong job mate. Ever thought of a career in brain surgery? I think the the trans-black body finish with replacement ebony scratchplate (or even a combination of part ebony/part pearlescent?) will be the game-changer in terms of how the finished bass looks. Yeeee-haaaa 👍
