  1. Drop her off at Cribbs Causeway and come on down to the Bash
  2. Just in case anybody's interested, I'll be bringing more stuff than expected that's for sale, as follows: Hohner The Jack active, headless 4-s ; Eden WTX264 head ; Ashdown RM 500 EVO head ; TC Electronic BH550 head + footswitch - all in exceptionally good condition. If anyone else wants a last-minute, pre-event shout for stuff they're selling, just post details between now and Sunday - even if it's already on the list I posted a while back. There's such a lot going on at the Bash that I'd hate for someone to attend and miss something that they've been looking for.
  3. I'm pretty sure that both the bass and the hand can be attributed to Jabba.
  4. Another day, another pic: http://
  5. Judging from the popularity of the HPF topic we've had running for a while, that should attract some interest. Must admit I was leaning in that direction til I got my Mesa Subway 800 with high-pass filtration designed in.
  6. Great stuff! I've seen the finished bass in your build diary (at least I assume it was the same one) but look forward to seeing it 'in the wood'. I'm sure it's a trick of the camera lens, but doesn't it look tiny on that table?!
  7. Today's pic was taken from the stage showing the overall layout of the main hall - lots of luvverly stuff on display! http://
  8. Just a reminder of event details: Sunday 8th of April, 10am-4pm The Memorial Hall, Cheddon Fitzpaine, Taunton TA2 8JY ...and here's today's pic: http://
  9. OK, just to whet the appetite I'll be posting the 'pic of the day' from the shots taken by Scrumpy Janey last year. And the first one is: http:// If that doesn't do the trick, nothing will (and that was just 'afters')!
  10. OK, Mrs Scrumpy says "Potato wedges are on!!"
  11. It's getting closer folks! I am SOOOO looking forward to having AndyJr AND Jabba AND the self-build cab's at the event.
  12. You'd definitely need your anti-gas tablets for those
  13. I CANNOT WAIT to see this at the bash!!
  14. If it's a wedge, we can always use it to keep the door open (If it turns out to be the best cab, there really will be some questions asked.)
  15. Seems to me the more cab's the better - we want single 12-inchers in the main hall as well.
  16. Thanks BreadBin - name the 'interesting' ones so I can add to the list.
  17. LAST CALL FOR T-SHIRTS!! I have to confirm order with my supplier first thing Monday morning so I need any more orders tomorrow latest and £12 payments (pm me for details) soon afterwards please (sizes are below pic's). http:// Available sizes are: Size: S M L XL XXL 3XL Chest (to fit): 34/36 38 40/42 44/46 48/50 52
  18. Love it - that neck is just beautiful.
  19. CALL FOR RAFFLE PRIZES!! OK, this should get the ball rolling: A whopping-great 1.5l 'optic'-style bottle of Black Bottle scotch! The Whisky Exchange describes this unique blend as follows: "The island of Islay is renowned all over the world for its intensely powerful and charismatic Scotch whiskies. Black Bottle is totally unique in being created from whiskies from all seven of the famous distilleries on Islay. Its spiritual home is the Bunnahabhain distillery in the north-east of the Island." This was bottled before the brand re-launch in 2013, which reduced the Islay content. My Scottish pal, who really knows his stuff, rates this original blend alongside the best of the single malts. This and a lovely top-of-the-range leather strap from Adrian Maruszczyk have to be contenders for this year's 'Best in Raffle' prize. There's also a bottle of Gordon's gin up for grabs (take that home to the wife and all will be forgiven ) plus a couple of Bash T-shirts and mugs. What can you guys and (hopefully) gals bring to the party? PLUS: " Line 6 Otto filter auto wah thingy" (thanks Norm!)
  20. Getting rid of all that excess body south of the bridge was a real game-changer. Before I decided to mod mine, I had it up for sale. The couple of people who tried it loved everything about it except that the bridge was positioned where their playing hand would normally be. That wasn't a problem for me but a lot of bassists play with their hand bent further backwards towards the elbow.
  21. This topic has made me realise just how much I love my re-bodied Rascal. The '3 x pups + 5-pos slider + push/pull pot' set-up is so versatile. So quick and easy to select from 7 distinctly different and really usable sounds on the fly. When I had my active Maruszczyk Elwood made I thought about speccing the same configuration. Wish I had now - I'd have an active and a passive version.
  22. Agreed - designing an 'alternative' headstock is a tricky business. It's really neat the way the 2 pairs of pegs kind of run parallel to each other and at an offset angle from the neck.
