1. Are you looking for something in the same performance/price bracket as the Streamliner or something to get you out of trouble if the Streamliner failed? TC Electronic stuff is good - their RH450 would probably fit the first category and their BH550 (which I had for a while and liked) the second.
 2.
they look like they make some nice bass's like this one but would prefer the squared head not the P bass type. great value, do they play well. http://chownybass.co...chowny-vantage/
Chowny were one of the sponsors at the SW Bass Bash I organised in May. The ones I tried certainly played well.
 3. And here's a demo by Scott - you'd better sit down first! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geuOuoVWQDM&feature=youtu.be

 5.
Could you post the major dimensions of the neck, so that any future searches will find this information? The thickness of the neck at the 1st & 12th and maybe the width of the neck at those positions.
And the vital statistics are: At fret zero - 39(W) x 21(D)mm; at F12 - 52(W) x 22(D)mm
 6.
Ooh, a Magellan! I like the look of them. Mr Genzler really knows how to put an amp together.
It's blindingly good IMHO. That AND a Trace Elliot - how lucky can one man be?!
 7.
There are none so blind as those who will not see.. Missing out on a bargain...
Maybe the blind man is me!? The good thing is that I should have my 2nd BF One10 in a few days so I'll be able to hear how the TE head as well as my 'new' Magellan sound thru the 'vintage-coloured' compact stack. Can't wait!
 8.
Well, today's reason is an Ashdown MK500 which arrives in the morning
That sounds fair enough!
 9.
They didn't come with cases new (I bought a new one in 1988). GLWTS.
Thanks for the info Bro.
 10.
Long story short. I use to own one of these beasties until it got in a bad way and I foolishly sold it on. How I regret that now. Because of all my years on that bass, my muscle memory developed to that style of neck. As you know most of the modern bass favour the very thin 'C' profiled necks which aren't as comfortable for those of us pinching the neck with larger hands. So here's my request. Could you post the major dimensions of the neck, so that any future searches will find this information? The thickness of the neck at the 1st & 12th and maybe the width of the neck at those positions. This information might help anyone moving from the smaller neck, or seeking the thicker profiled neck. Thanks - oh and consider this bumped.
Will do.
 11. Only used a couple of times so mint, unmarked - and squeaky-clean. Great pedal but don't really need it with the bass/amp set-up I've now got. I'll try and add a pic or two soonest - but it looks just like a new one does (honest) Price includes UK mainland delivery.
 12. Osiris - just ordered the Arachnid Audio pedal. Thanks again!
 13. Sorry Kev - I've unintentionally blundered into hijacking your thread. Actually (now I've read your topic title properly!) mine was different: it was an 'SG Re-issue' (2008). I'm not sure what the differences were but if the Gibson craftsmen (?!) hadn't changed in the intervening 12 months, then I'm sure yours is at least as good as mine was GLWTS
 14. That ain't no anapest - it's just a bit of fun!
 15. I've got 3 BF cabs (2 x One10s and a SC) that I've been using and liking with my TE AH300 SMC GP7. I also had a TC Electronic BH550 head as a backup for a while but that sounded just a little bit thin. The Genzler Magellan 800 I've just bought sounds very nice at home - I'll report back when I've done a few full rehearsals/gigs.
 16. After nearly 40 years of continuous TE ownership, my efforts to no longer have one seem doomed to failure as my TE stack is still languishing on the FS forum. Seems like there's no escape
 17. Happy Jack's a Basschatter-cum-poet (as we all may be but just don't know it) Any more want to try - make us laugh, make us cry? You can stick with the bass if you blow it. (I'll get me coat.)
 18.
Oh come onnnnnn, not even a little?
Not possible while you're playing the cajon (I know, I've tried ).
 19. I had the black one - absolutely superb!
 20. Your cajon/champion rhyme is much appreciated.
 21.
A neighbour has a Bulldog called "Chester" - if anybody asks "where's Chester", they'll answer "just off the M6.." Nothing to do with your sale....just thought I'd say...
Hey B C, sorry - and surprised - this hasn't gone yet! (If I hadn't just blown £500 on something else, I would have been pm-ing you.) At least potential buyers now know which motorway to head for when they collect it.
 22.
If you grew a fifth string, it would not even be a minute's consideration. It would be a lovely big brother for my B2A but my search started with a P-Sounding 5-string :-) Still, I look at you at least once a day...
Just nice to know I've not been completely forgotten Jack
 23. Please buy me! Yours, Jack
 24.
Occupational hazard
