1. Nice idea but I don't ever need instant access to more than 2 basses.
2. That's a stunner!
3. Very nice - based on what I've heard about Gibson's 'legal eagles', I'm surprised this one made it into the market-place!
4. Met Al in a pub car-park somewhere near Bristol yesterday to collect and pay for a nice TCE BH550, which I then used at rehearsal last night. All good, highly recommend this Basschat-er (and this amp if anybody's thinking of getting one). Mike
5. I'm same as you with a small part of the frequency range missing in both ears. I only wear my aids in difficult situations like meetings or when the audio on the telly isn't very clear - less than 5% of the day on average. I play without aids or plugs but we don't play very loud. We're all different s0 I think you need to experiment a bit while erring on the side of caution to avoid any further damage.
6. If you can prove beyond reasonable doubt that it's the gear that was stolen from you, then it's still yours AFAIK.
7. Bumping this lovely bass again.
8. Bumping this lovely bass again.
9.
Some more info The Glockenklang Blue Soul Amp Head….. 650 W / 4 ohm 450 W 8 ohm
Are you sure it's 450W into 8ohms? Your review link says 350W.
10. +1 for the SWB-1 (I've got one) and Ibanez Talman TMB30 (I've had one) - both excellent. The Ibanez looks/sounds/feels more classic 'old school' and balances better while the Chowny is a cut above quality-wise (as you'd expect from the price) with a cleaner, more neutral sound - you'd need to pay the £100 premium for the active version if you wanted a broader tonal range.
11. I'm pleased to say that Steve is the new owner of my 120th Anniversary SG. Every step of the transaction went smoothly and I would thoroughly recommend him as a top Basschat forum member. Mike
12. Have a bump on me - this is a cut-price entry ticket to the wonderful world of Marra ownership (or multiple ownership even!!)
13.
They're well smart! Congrats
+1 Also, I like this idea of owners posting pic's of themselves bedecked with multiple Marra's - could catch on
14.
Hi All - I'm reluctantly putting my beautiful Maruszczyk Jake back up for sale. There's loads on the forum about how great these basses are & this one's no exception. It's a one off medium (32") scale build with a chambered body & weighs approx. 3kg (6.6lb) - probably the lightest Precision ever! The original spec was: - Jake 4p - Chambered, 32” medium scale Body Wood - Alder with lightly flamed maple top and back Neck - Maple with Rosewood fingerboard, 10” radius, 2.64/1.20mm fretwire (medium jumbo), 40mm nut width. White 3mm dots in front, matte finish, Mr. Tee (Telecaster style) headstock, 'slim C' profile (21mm at first fret, 24mm at twelfth feet) Pickups - Haussel P with passive volume & tone Hardware - Hipshot Ultralite Tuners Colour - Redburst (red with black border) gloss I had it for a while & decided I wanted a maple neck, so Adrian built one for me. The spec is the same as above, but with a 7.5" radius, the Fender-style Hipshot Ultralites & a 1.5" (38mm) nut width - like an old Jazz Bass. I've also fitted a Gotoh 201 bridge instead of the Hipshot Vintage bridge it was built with & this is a big improvement. Home use only, so really good condition. The deal is for the bass in a gig bag with both necks & I'll throw in both sets of Hipshot Ultralites. Pics: - Here's the original sofa shot with the rosewood neck on: - No problem doing more photos if you want some I also found a video of Adrian playing it to demonstrate the Haussel pickup. It's strung with Status 100s in the video: - I have since restrung it with Ernie Ball Slinky 45-105s & it sings with rounds on! Ideally I'm looking for a cash / collection deal (I'm based in Newcastle upon Tyne) for £650, which I think is a lot of bass for the price! Postage may be an option, but will have to send the spare neck separately. Cheers, B. P.S. Original sale thread is here
What a bargain is this - as Tome appears to have realised!!
15. Must be time for another bump.

22. We like shiny! Love that whole purply-greenish-granite-textured-mystic-night-sky thing that's going on there. Bet you couldn't do another one exactly the same.
23.
Did you get enough funds in to break even?
Not quite but near enough
