3.
Late to the party I should have scrolled down a bit. Jim.
I've assumed you're coming to the party and added you to the list - let me know if you're bringing stuff and I'll add that too.
 4.
I can offer a cockrel-shaped watering can made from folded and welded metal, finished in a tasteful brown coloured hammerite... Never been used, it was a house warming present.....
Thanks Graham!
 5.
Crikey, this looks like being bigger than the S.E. Bash.....anyone know any famous Bassists to invite along ( present company excepted!)?
I'm hoping that one or two might make themselves known on this thread - maybe they already have?! Anyway, I'm bringing an (unworn) Elite Strings T-shirt signed by a famous bass player (Stuart Zender) to go in the raffle. It will only be of interest to other Mikes though as he dedicated it to me - "To Mike - Respect!" IIRC Did I say raffle? Oh yes, there's going to be one - so far with a T-shirt and an unused Barefaced jack/Speakon cable lead. Any other raffle prize donations will be gratefully received on the day.
 6.
Scrumpymike - I have phoned Mike Gillett and he will be coming to the bash with a selection of his beautiful acoustic basses. He asks if you would please call him on 07962 666787 to confirm details etc. Graham
Thanks Graham, just left a message on his voice mail. Also responded by e-mail to text message from luthier Graham; waiting for his confirmation.
 7. OK, that's 'our Zilla' invited (Zilla Cabs, Bristol)! Just had a phone chat with boss man Paul, who seems like a nice guy and sounds interested - watch this space!

 10. Rich, thanks for that wonderful time capsule depicting typical '80s rock-n-roll petulance
 11.
Looks like the South West is a bit of a hotbed of guitar/bass activity. I know Zilla Cabs are also based down here. It's great to see how many of us there are
Anybody on the forum got experience of Zilla cabs?
 12.
Hi again Scrumpymike, I know a luthier, Graham Bradshaw, who lives and works from his home in Durston, on the Taunton-Glastonbury road. He is very experienced and a lovely guy. If you look at his website he has photos of a pair of Hohner headless basses (4 string lined fretless and 5 string fretted) that he has conjoined into one instrument for a customer - Awesome! He is interested in coming along to meet us at the bash, show some of the work that he is doing atm and talk luthiery. [email protected] Graham
Thanks Graham, I've just sent him an e-mail - and he's a useful contact to have as the other local I was using (Kim Webber) is sadly no longer with us. Not had any reply from Mike Gillett btw and he's not answering his phone. Wonder if he's taking exhibiting at this year's London show.
 13.
Hi, only just spotted this and right now I can't find my diary! Put me down as a a probable... (Fender Jazz, DA Bass Tele and maybe some other stuff)
Done. PS Didn't know we had a sex farm just up the road
 14. List updated to add Woodinblack's G&L 2500 (subject to car space ) and funky8884.
 15. A total disgrace! Good luck with the damage-limitation exercise.
 16.
Always liked the look of them as well, shame I'm skint ( and too far away). GLWS
But those are just minor details
 17.
If this drops below £300 let me know please
Thanks for your interest - not planning price to drop further but if it does I will!
 18. OK guys, been busy this morning - and we have commemorative merchandise! Message on back of mug (in more artistic fonts) is: Bash yer Bass!
 19.
Scrumpymike - Please update my entry on the list - I will be bringing my Ashbory bass and my mint condition Crafter BA580EQ 5 string electric acoustic bass for sale. Also, if anyone has a Fender P or P/J 5 string or a G&L 2500 I would love to try these. Ta, Graham
Done.
 20.
Wow this is unmissable. Will a day be enough time?
Don't think there's much danger of anybody getting bored and leaving early that's for sure
 21.
I'll have my camera as I'm probs thinking this could be kinda cool for my YouTube channel so I'm happy to get a few pics of the day and gear
Good stuff - I'm sure there'll be a few more photographers (me for one) to share the load.
 22. MoJoKe and BassBod added to the list - we're up to 34 now Re food, we've had a few kind offers of contributions but no need thanks - we're on top of it and will make sure there's enough for everybody. Provisional menu is: Continuous tea/coffee; sausage rolls; home-made veggie soup; chicken & ham pie*; home-made cheese coleslaw; home-made ratatouille; jacket tatties; home-baked banana loaf and apple cake. *our local butcher's finest The aim is to cover our costs with any balance being donated to a suitable charity. The way the numbers are shaping up, the £10 a head entrance takings should be enough to do that.
 23.
Scrumpymike- Mike Gillett of Gillett Guitars is only just up the road near Bridgwater (I think it's Enmore) and i'm sure he would be happy to bring along his awesome acoustic basses. I had a play on some at the 2016 Bass Show. They are stunning and by far the best acoustic bass that I have tried. Mike's number is 01278 233010. [email protected] ..just a suggestion. G
Wow, they look a bit special - great suggestion!! Invitation sent to Mike via his website contact address. Just up the road from me and I didn't even know about him.
