1. just a feeler I found Two New KSD 704's that a dealer had stored in his store room for several Years, never been played still has plastic over Scratchplate, they are both New, I'm keeping one of them for myself, it was hard to choose which one as both lovely, I did some homework on these and the Korean ones came out on top, after 2007-8, they were made in China, from what I've heard from dealers, that's when they stopped stocking them as they felt the standard had dropped, if anyone interested post me, thanks

3. This Bass is in as New Condition, the only thing you could criticise it on, is some very minor dulling on the Scratch plate where your fingers rub, other than that its Immaculate, it was built in Japan in 2010, the Bass has been set up beautifully by a top luthier, every things been done, infact I have never Played a fender with such an incredibly low action, the necks lovely and very comfortable, effortless to play, I have had the Marcus Miller J Retro Deluxe Preamp fitted (£250) by the Man Himself, its lovely, it retains that nice Fender Tone, but also makes the bass so much more versatile, you can get lots of great sounds out of the bass, check out J East at www.east-uk.com or on youtube, it has a New Set of Elite Players Nickel Plated Strings 40-100, I like these great tone and there kinder on your hands and Fretboard, easier to bend, also included in sale is a fitted Bass Centre Hard Case, I also have the Original Electronics, Fender Preamp with the Pots and Knobs, they will be included, so got the option to change it back and could sell the J east Preamp easily, a great Quality bass in Immaculate condition, all done and ready to play, don't hesitate to contact me for further Details and Description on 07825-998034, to see more photos, on Ebay having problems putting them on here or i can email any one interested, got lots
4. I want one of these basses, hard to find, spoke to dr bass in Spain, they informed me that the later models are not a patch on the older or original ones, does anyone know where the earlier ones were made and how much influence Ken Smith had on them, where if any I could find one?
5. Hi would you know of anyone that wants to sell a ex factor, fender custom shop or original, I just can't seem to find one, I had one two years ago and wished I'd never sold it, cheers Soggs
6. I bought this bass from Mansons in Exeter in May 2011, it was a Few months old, basically a shop Demo, I've Had the Bass set up by a top luthier, changed bass, really comfortable to play now, its got New 40-100's nickel plated Strings, prefer the tone and feel, softer on frets and hands, when i got it it had two tiny marks on top where the pickup cover would be and again a very slight mark at the base of the body, they are that small if you matched the color, you could touch in and wouldn't see them, infact you can't see them very well on photo's, other than that it really is as New, the Headstock neck fretboard pickups knobs, all immaculate, the case too is as new, the bass has never been gigged, because its the Vintage, i have all the stuff that came with it, i have not touched or put any of the vintage items on the bass, i prefer playing it as it is, so all the Dampers screws etc are all in there bag unopened from New, as are the Bridge Cover and Pickup Cover, just took wrapping off to take photo's, all Manuals and other paperwork in the case. As you can see by the photo's it comes with an Original Vintage Case, I've been having to move a few of my basses on as i need the money, although odd request, but if someone out there owns a Ken Smith Design proto j 705, i would be interested in a trade or if they just want to move theirs on for cash I'll buy it, i played one once and loved it, don't ask me why and for the money thought it was great, being the Vintage this bass has got a lovely aged rosewood fretboard and a real nice aged maple Neck, Gorgeous open tones and super fast slim neck, and like any Fender you can basically plug in any amp and sound great, i have kept some of my basses and this one is going, because i have an early xotic jazz bass made of same woods and Lindy Fralin 60's ALNICO Heavy formvar pups, sounds just like a early 60's fender but also has a lovely pro logic one pre-amp, just has more scope so keeping it, can contact me on 07825-998034

15. If you haven't come across these basses before, they are cracking. The only reason for me moving this bass on is because I’m a four string man. I have played a few 5 strings before, but I have to say when I picked this bass up it felt right. It’s amazingly comfortable to play, action to die for. Sorry about photo's it looks far better in the flesh, the cherry is stunning, white pearlescent scratch plate and matching rosewood pickup covers, I had the matching headstock too. It was so nice in every way I had to buy it, but before this I had already bought the four string exactly the same spec and that had blown me away too, hence tried the five. Very light for a five string, also as it was ordered new for me I had the old school arrangement 2-volume 1-tone plus three band eq. The Trilogic pre-amp is really versatile, the 1st volume knob push/pull, which is active/passive, 2nd volume knob push/pull, which is single/humbucking. The original pick ups were fine, but I had Lindy Fralin put some alnico heavy Formvar in, the same as the 1960-64 Fender Jazz's had in, that combined with the preamp lovely. I still have the original pickups and also another set of rosewood pickup covers included in sale, it comes with their latest stiffened gig bag. The bass is alder body, 22 fret maple/rosewood neck, matching h/stock, Jescar silver nickel frets, Hipshot ultra light tuners, Hipshot a brass chrome bridge, chrome hardware, Gotoh strap buttons. As I said I’ve owned it from new, paid over £2300 for her, if you’re looking for a high end bass with both old school and high end sound this is the 5 string for you. Its immaculate not a mark on it, basically as new, played very little. Looking for £1550 as the extra pickups and the old school controls, matching head stock, and if you notice forgot to say had switches put on front, they are mid switches, I know there standard now, but I had to pay for all these extras, so I feel its a fair price for such a nice bass. Oh have more pictures if required.
16.
Hi BC'ers, Have a BUMP for my old bass. Just to confirm this thing sounds absolutely gorgeous, you won't be disappointed. Simon was a true Gent and offered me first refusal on the sale, as we agreed way back when, before listing it here. It's only lack of funds that stopped me! Cheers, Jon
thanks for the kind words jon, i'll give you that tenner later ha ha!!
17. tThese acoustic basses are incredible, used acoustically the bass still has plenty of volume and strong tones, very fast and playable neck feels like a electric bass. very light and balanced, especially the fact that all the guitar is solid wood and has strong bracing. its solid sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, solid one piece mahogany neck, and rosewood fretboard, bridge in rosewood. Its the original Tacoma not the fender, it has the Tacoma LR BAGGS preamp system, consists of bass mid treble eq and a phse button, and a pickup ribbon transducer element into the bridge, when its plugged in it sounds great, these basses are becoming much harder to find as they are no longer produced, and it really does compete with all of the much more expensive bass acoustics, been set up by brittish luthier new set of strings and comes with the lovely Tacoma fitted case, the guitar and case are absolutely immaculate and the previous chap i bought it from i believe ordered it from new, so two owners, never been gigged, the pictures really don't do it justice, its better in the flesh!! you would be hard pushed to find a better sounding and more comfortable bass to play.
18.
interested in the cabs ... what are you looking for in return? what condition is the kit in?
Hi its as new never been gigged it really is as brand new, being the neo line they are quite a bit dearer than the proline, you probably know that anyway, i really wanted to sell the rig together, but i supose would want £450 for1x15 £700 for the 4x10, get back to me, cheers Soggs
19. Hi, not using this superb amp and cab enough, so decided to move it on and buy something smaller and free up some cash as usual, I've owned this cab from new and had it just over a year now, its as new, immaculate, not been gigged, with family and children commitments not using enough to warrant it sat there, i'm sure most people on this site know how expensive these are to buy new, especially now bernie goodfellow is no longer selling them and doing deals on them, i wont bore you with all the tech spec as can find all info on ebs sweden website, you tube etc, this rig you could play at any venue, its truly a pro rig, all the sounds you want and the cabs very powerful and extremely light, I'm looking for £1600 for the rig including speakon cables, looking on bass chat and other sites there's people wanting this figure for the amp and one cab, i'm sure you are aware that the neo cabs are dearer than the proline too, if interested post or if want to speak to me my mobiles 07825998034, cheers Soggs
20.
There's something about spalted maple that is just sooooooooooo outstandingly gorgeous and this is a particularly beautiful example. 21.
Tis true... I am that gigger! I 'loved' this bass and if it weren't for the fact I'm juggling the present basses that I have, then I'd be scratting about to try and get this back. Excellent bass.
hey how are you, i'm gutted having to do this, its been great owning this bass, i shall miss i dearly
22.
Beautiful bass, I love spalted maple...
thanks mate
23. Feeler anyone interested, its beautiful, built 2008, absolutely Immaculate, never been gigged has chambered body, its the lightest bass i think i've ever played, 7.65lbs (3.47kg), its Spalted Maple on Swamp Ash with a Birdseye Maple Fretboard, nordstrand Big Singles, Vintage Tone Control, Maple neck, signed and dated by the man himself back of headstock, I bought it last year, but have taken delivery of my GB rumour bass, and sadly due to finances i am having to sell this too, it really is a cracking bass and has everything on it that sadowsky supply, i priced it up with sadowsky to find out what cost new and they came back with $4650 at the time exchange rate came out around £3250 + import duty + postage, I paid £2200 for it last year, would like fairly close to this, the chap i bought it from was giging in pubs and clubs and could'nt bear the thought of it being damaged, if you saw it you'd understand, you probably saw my shuker on here too, i've had to do this for finance and to make way for my rumour, unfortunately like a lot of people i can't afford to have 30 basses in my arsenal, never mind eh!!! oh I had it set up by a great luthier, now its spot on, if you look on sold basses on sadowsky site its #5091, i have more photo's if want, oh comes with sadowsky case!
