1. All originals, no covers at all!
2. Bought another Ric 4003 off Si and this one's every bit as good as the last one!! (still have the last one) Si is a great bloke, he does exactly what it says on the tin. I would recommend Si 100% to anyone. You're a star Si and thanks for finding me 2 awesome Ric's, I love em!!!!! Cheers Bud, keep in touch and let me know if you buy anymore Ric's........... All the best, Mario.

4.
If I had the money, I'd buy this right now. These are great basses so have a bump on me!
Cheers, they are great basses!
5.
Someone on here is thinking about a J east preamp too, I think its mcnach.Yep it is I just had a look (see the 1980's stingray thread in the bass guitars section)worth a pm at least?
Cheers Man, I'll check it out!
6. Price now reduced to £700 + postage or collection is more than welcome. Cheers, Mario.
7. Hi There, A couple of people have pointed out that you can buy a new JC from Thomman for £479, which is true. That doesn't include the case though, £80 if you can find one. TI flats £40 a must on these basses. Then there's the pro set up, this was set up here in Carlisle by world famous Overwater, it plays like a bass costing £1k+. So that's a lot of bass for the money I'm asking. Anyways i do need to move it on as I'm really needing another Ric, so I'm gonna reduce the price to £450 inc case. Better be quick, shouldn't be around for too long for that price! Cheers, Mario.
8. This is an awesome bass guys, in mint condition. the John East pre/amp was £175. Where's all you Ray lovers? Anyone got a Jetglo 4003 to trade?
9. Cheers Guys, Yeah they are great basses, but I need another Ric for gigging and have to pay for it somehow!
10. Hi There, For sale is my Epiphone Jack Casady Gold Top. It's in immaculate condition and plays beautifully. I have it strung with TI flats which are amazing on this bass, they sound and feel incredible. The bass comes with the original hard shell case and is also in great condition. The pic's show the bass without the pickguard but it will be included in the sale. Price drop £450 + postage or collection is more than welcome. Any questions........... fire away! Cheers, Mario.
11. Hi There, I have for sale my MM Stingray 4 H/S with John East 4 knob 3 band EQ with sweepable mids. It's a 07 bass with the new compensated nut. Black, black, maple........ best colour me thinks! The bass looks, plays and sounds great. It's in immaculate condition and comes with the original MM case, also included is the original MM pre amp. I have it strung with TI flats which suite this bass beautifully. This is a very versatile bass and with the addition of the JE pre amp virtually any bass sound can be coaxed from this beauty. Sold to "Old Horse Murphy" Cheers Nick! All the best, Mario. p.s. I'm looking for a Jetglo 4003 if anyone's looking for a trade!
12.
Sorry, Mario - just noticed you picked your RH450 second hand; I don't know if that means the guarantee is no longer vaild, even if it is within the guarantee period. My advice - contact TC directly then and see what they have to say. I can't believe it's difficult to swap the damaged buttons but I guess you might need to return it to a dealer? I've not had any dealings with TC myself but they give the impression of being reasonable people to deal with. Mark
Cheers Mark, The guy I got it from swears it's had an easy life. Apart from the buttons it looks brand new. I'm sort of glad in a way it's a known fault as I might get some joy from TC. Thanks, Mario.
13. Hi there, I have eventually managed to get my hands on a used RH450 for a great price! The thing that's bothering me is that the preset buttons, shift and mute buttons have all got cracks across them. The shift button has actually split in two parts. They still sit in the amp securely and work as they should, but the plastic is obviously defective. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Most importantly, can it be rectified. I would really appreciate any help that can be given. Cheers guys, Mario.
14. I gig with a Fireglo 4003, it's got TI flats on it!(amazing strings for a Ric). There is nothing sounds anywhere near as good, and I've tried to find one. In fact I'm now tired of looking, I'm just gonna buy another Ric and be done with it. I got mine from Geddy's Nose (Si), here on BC. It's a fantastic bass and I got it for a great price a couple of years ago, cheers Si. Have a listen on our Myspace page. Some beautiful Ric tone, 4003 bass, a 12 string 330 and a 6 string 360. We just love our Ric's!!!!
15.
good stuff, that must give you a real buzz. I'd be interested to know 1) how you managed to swing it and 2) how much you got for it (pm me this if you don't want to advertise it, but I am v interested what the going rate is) cheers Steve
Hi Steve, We were approached after someone from the Cumberland marketing team attended one of our gigs. He loved the music and one thing lead to another!
16. Howdy Folks, One of our tunes is now being used by The Cumberland Building Society in their current TV advertising campaign. Only veiwable in the Cumbria area on ITV. Also veiwable on the Cumberland Building Society's website, www.cumberland.co.uk We even got paid for it. How cool is that!!!
17. Hi, Is this amp still up for grabs?
18. Cheers for that guys, I really like what I've read about TI's Clarky, but thought they might be too loose to get a good sound with a pick. It's good to know you use them with a pick and they sound cool. I think it's narrowed down to either the TI's or the Pyramids. I love McCartny's Ric sound, and also like JC's sound, although I know he didn't use a Ric! Decisions, decisions........ You know the Missus is right, thinking about bass, playing bass, sound and tone really does take up tooo much of my time (not). It's just a shame work has to get in the way! Mario.
19. Cheers Dave, Yeah, Pyramid Golds. Are they really dubby though? Will I get a little top end? I've read in other threads they are very dubby, how do you find them? I suppose if I boost the treble to suit, I'll get to where I want to be. Yeah I'll have another look at them. Nice one, Mario.
20. Hi All, I'm wanting to try some Flatties on my Ric 4003 but unsure of which would work best. I play finger style and with a pick (depending on the tune). Worried really low tension strings (TI's) might be no good with a pick? (Do like what I've read about TI's though) LaBellas, any good with a pick? The music I play is 60's influenced Psychedelic/West Coast/Americana so the flatwounds should suit, its just which would work best? Would like a little top end, not too dubby and something with a nice soft feel. Do D'Addario Chromes feel soft? I know there has been a lot wrote on Flats, and I've read a lot of it. Is there a string out there that covers all my needs????? These things are fairly pricey, so asking you guy's for help might save me some hard earned in the long run. Cheers Ears, Mario.
21. Sold Dave my VT Bass pedal. Great comms, super fast payment, very easy transaction. It was a pleasure Dave. Can recommend 100% Cheers, Mario.
22. Sold to Pearl Jammin pending the usual. Cheers!
