  1. Not if anyone is still looking for a BBPH but there is one available here...https://musicstreet.co.uk/products/yamaha-bbph-peter-hook-signature-bb-red?variant=32979618463805&currency=GBP&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&utm_campaign=gs-2018-12-11&utm_source=google&utm_medium=smart_campaign&gclid=Cj0KCQiA5bz-BRD-ARIsABjT4njM_bvDTO6HNQqCwZdlqpXyYuVDaxDHDfv0qZPuLhZE5W7gtiIl7msaAhxaEALw_wcB
  2. Yup and £100 cheaper for some reason than other stores
  3. I seriously need to thin my herd if I like this BB. I got a real bad case of GAS with this and a Serek on the way. That’s it. I’m officially skint!
  4. Ordered an hour ago, and shipping tomorrow. 😃 Chuffed!
  5. Seem to be selling out rapidly. Bass Direct stock has gone and looking like PMTs 5 has gone. Anyway, order in with PMT so wait and see. Reading about those who have bought them and gave great reviews has turned my head. I've always steered away from Signature basses, but I love the aesthetics of this one and it isn't just a straight copy of the 1200s it's got a thing of its own going on. I'm sure Yamaha will make more based on the apparent demand.
  6. I was in Pmt Birmingham today and the guy I spoke to said January. But I’d take that with a pinch of salt
  7. Bassdirect is £999. Pricing seems a bit all over the shop
  8. I've never seen this level of interest both here and across the pond! The demand is crazy. Ive been a Hooky fan since the mid 80s and really chuffed the recognition for his simple yet effective style of playing
  9. I did watch the Peter Hook interview on Instagram and he mentioned no major brands doing neck-thrus. Odd thing to say as there are quite a few I can think of including Ricks of course.
  10. Great looking bass. Looks like a really good paint job, judging by just the headstock and the preservation of the logo. Giving it some serious thought but I bet I get beaten to it!
  11. Makes the day a bit more interesting than working remotely on spreadsheets
  12. Jake contacted me last night, it sounds like it might be a few weeks before delivery as they are struggling to get the Hipshot bridges.
  13. The bass sounds good on the Aries song by Gorillaz. But I think I prefer the original 1200s, there's something about the finish I'm not convinced by and it not being a neck-thru. I've had 2 1200S's and stupidly let them go.
  14. Well, I've done it the time. This should be with me over the next few weeks. I sold my Ric 3000 so needed another short scale. https://www.serekbasses.com/basses/the-grand/
  15. Is it available to the UK?
  16. They are a unique bass with a unique sound. GLWS 👍
  17. I DID! Ever heard of seller remorse.
  18. Great price for one of these, but do you want to part with that Rick 3000?
  19. It's a small world mate. They used to support us. Our guitarist then joined them
  20. Oh band on the cusp of things that might have been but never was Sarls Charisma. There's a band out there called Momento Mori who were also part of the scene up in the North East
  21. I'll give it a whirl. I play in punk/ska covers these days, but still write my own stuff on my MacBook. Not hardcore Goth like I used to be but here's a flavour...
  22. Appreciate the help. What is your recommendation for string relief on the truss rod for a VI bass? I usually go around 0.35 for my Fender basses but no idea for the VI?
  23. I complained to the store about my LaBella strings and it was clear they sold me incorrectly labelled strings. The Schecter Hellcat VI string are 33" but the later LaBellas are 35.5" - I got the later in a pack labelled Hellcat. LaBella are sending me 2 E & A new strings measured at 33" so they should be good. D'Addario are too long and might be a bit too light for me, as I like a bit of bass on the E and A string AKA Hooky. I think the GHS strings might be too heavy for the Schecter, but I can see them working great on the Hooky 6. I contacted Newtone and they said Axions would be too long but they can customise for me. Axions are cheap enough to try out the heavier 100 gauge strings. Anyway, I'll spend some time with the LaBella to see how I get on - that money is now sunk. Incidently, for some reason on the 7th - 9th Fret on the E and A strings I'm getting a lot of buzz so need to figure out what's going on there.
