    Bugeras are nice, I used to play the BVV3000 and it never broke down. The Infinium thing is great if it is working

    I used to play an Ampeg SVT7pro, but sold it after it broke down (no sound) at practice. After that I played a SVT2pro, lovely but never left the practice room because it´s to heavy in the case. Also played a Bugera BVV3000 (Ampeg CL clone), very nice but also to heavy. My main amp is a Hughes&Kettner Quantum QT600. The best of both worlds. The weight is in the middle and it sounds like a tube amp. Also you don´t have any tube break downs at gigs. I sold my Bugera and will get a GK 700rbII now, to give it a try. No digital for me and I don´t really need a full tube amp. I´ll stay in the middle with my mosfets! Cheers, Sascha

    I´m playing a H&K Quantum QT600 and getting a GK 700rbII now as my second amp. I used to play a lot of tube amps but my HK can get really close to the tube sound. As a big Tool fan I have to give the GK a try.

[/quote] Hey Pawel, the normal XS has no plate on the back, the neck is fixed only with screws. The wood is also different, it´s alder. This makes the bass a bit "cheaper", but electronics etc. are the same. I have a Votan x-tra too and love it, but without the picguard and no dots. So I guess yours is a little special...     I have 2 MM Sterling(USA) and one SUB Sterling(USA). You get a used SUB for 400-500€ and it´s almost in the same ballpark. The same electronics, hardware(without name), only the wood is different. Soundwise i like my Sub very much, it sounds very "open".

    I used to have a 7pro, but sold it after it just quit working at practice. My 2pro is a monster, but the tone is very sexy! My second amp is a Traynor YBA200 and if you put a sansamp VT bass di in front, you get very nice sounds, too.

    If you don´t want to spend a lot of money get an ultimate drive from harley benton. Cheap and really kicks ass! I used to play an expensive darklglass b3k, but the ud does the thing for me! Distortion, no fuzz!
