1. You could easily make a board to attach your pedals to which would sit inside and be removable for use.
2.
I'm still trying to find someone who can make me one of these....
I've always prefered F***inbetter
3.
im just selling my board so i can enjoy building it up again! and dammit shep i really have no money and now i want your lpf!!!!! andy
The LPF is already acounted for
4. Bought Matt's Hot Hand off him, really really fast delivery absolutely perfect condition and great service all round. Ta!
5.
Five 'undred euro?! You won't see penny one from me you slag! Buy one, clone 10 and make your money back?
Ever looked inside one...? Makes it not so easy!
6. Just tried it myself and came out as; Enthusiasm for music - 86% Musical perception - 98% Emotional connection - 41% Social creativity - 86% Musical curiosity - 98% Emotional connection was suprisingly low for me but guess it depends on how you answer them and your mood at the time really.
7. Rockbox itself won't noticably improve the sound quality, but it will let you listen to higher quality lossless files easier. Which to me definitely improves the quality, more noticably when amped than you would ever be likely to through headphones on the street though.
8.
I'm a pleb to all this, but very pleased at increasing popularity to MP3 alternatives. (Was beginning to believe a whole generation will be brought up on crappy quality playback and this end up reducing the quality of recordings) What do you play FLAC and/or APE files, a laptop? Any portable players play these formats?
There are a fair number of portable FLAC players depends on the capacity or specs you'd be after really though. The Sansa units are very popular, personally I use a rockboxed iPod though.
9. I would recommend Exact Audio Copy for ripping to FLAC, I spent a while comparing and was a fan of this over the others due to the exact accuracy of it and it's ability to cope with damaged and scratched CDs though it's certainly not fast with them!
10. Can I have first refusal on the isolator cable if it doesn't go with the BMS then?
11. I use the TC Flashback which is absolutely fantastic and covers all of my needs, no tap tempo but it has an audio tap feature which does the same. This replaced my Headrush and more than covers anything I ever used it for and is a much smaller footprint.
12. Bass collection, can't see it lasting long at all http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bass-Collection-Californian-Pro-Bass-Based-Rickenbacker-4003-Bass-/221006990394?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item33750b0c3a
13.
Does anyone know of a schematic for a power supply, to power effects pedals?
There's this one http://www.instructables.com/image/FZGYM90G5703OX4/Planning-and-Schematic.jpg
14. What sort of delay sound are you after? I'm a big fan of the TC flashback delay personally, hugely versatile but with a small footprint.
15. Yeah all your pedals you've listed are centre negative so I'd just go with the Micropower and a short daisy chain personally. No particular reason to need isolated supplies with those.
16. I would be interested to hear your finding on this as well Shep.
17. I've found the screws on the Schallers to be smaller than the Fender's, Ibanez's, Peavey's and any Matsumoko instrument I've replaced them on so far.
18. Out of interest Shep how do you find they differ in sound, from someone considering looking into a LPF at the moment. If you do decide to move on the Moog I'd probably like to be first in line!
19. What are you not happy about with the transistor OD into that you previously mentioned? Are you particularly after a single pedal solution?
20.
This c**t
This, only possible worse I've ever seen was the frontman of the band Orange who successfully made everyone hate him enough to pay them no attention after about two songs.
21. Changing the valve is unlikely to noticably increase the gain as it already has a 12AX7 which is the highest gain of the 12A#7 valves. You will get slight variations in tone but it sounds more like running a boost pedal (something like the Phat Phuk) would give you this sound.
22. Gav bought my Big Muff, was fantastic to deal with all round and a very friendly bloke. Definitely would recommend!
23. Bought some strap locks off James, absolutely fantastic to deal with and very fast. Definitely would recommend. Thanks mate!
24. Yeah looks like roughly £500 spent which is more than I expected actually! Several of the "genuine" parts clearly aren't from his feedback too (thumbrest, covers, wiring)
25. I'd recable them entirely myself then you can put on a cable as thick as you like!
