1. Another vote for the Elacin/Etymotic ear plugs (as a minimum standard)

gameboy sound

I love that first one, tempted but can't figure out any real use I'd have for it...
3. Haven't seen it mentioned but I'd learn all the modal patterns too.
4.
Use a blending pedal! There are loads more than I first realised, but they seem to be quite difficult to find. If you search this forum section for blend, then you might find some info. I have a Barge Concepts blender thing, a DHA Bob the Blender, and a Boss LS-2. They're all good at their different applications, but I think you'd probably want the barge concepts one.
In what way do their applications differ? Probably a silly question but in my head a blender should just allow me to choose how wet a signal is, what else is there to it?
5. Yeah there's a morley FX blender, that's exactly what you've described.
6. They do look nice, but I thought you were suggesting that they were just general low end (bottom of the market) basses. Can understand why they chose the name but could have done with more thought.

8. Yeah to me they just look like kids toys sized up.
9. I've got an Ibanez BTB406QM which I absolutely love, one of my non metal loving mates saw it and said that it looked like the instrument the devil would play, sounds exactly like something I'd want to play!
10. Yeah I definately wouldn't try fixing it if you can't find the studs, but they definately should be there.
11. Are these straight forward to play finger style or are they better suited to a plec? The red one's gorgeus, very tempting but I can't justify it.
12. Bought a Bassballs pedal from him, very helpful fast and easy to deal with. Extremely well packaged don't think there was any way it could have been damaged. Great guy! Thanks
13. Hi, I have been trying to PM but haven't received any response, would like to buy the pedal please
14. Haven't had chance to pick it up yet, but had a lot of recommendations to buy the mag purely for the CD, as aparently it's the best album they've given in at least a very long time (which is always a good sign for your band)
15. Which style is it? metal plate back or the wooden block back bit?
16. I ended up going with an Ibanez BTB in the end when deciding over a similar choice as yours, just felt the nicest to play and I love the sound and the looks. I did try a Dean and Yam but just find their necks to be too wide.
17. Like the korg ones in wooden frames? I'm pretty sure they're just a promotional thing to be honest.
18. Thanks very much for the link. Have started the bulk shaping of the dillet to an overall improved blank shape. This is gonna take a while!
19. Sold a Behringer BX3000T to David, he contacted me extremely fast, paid within minutes and all was sorted straight away. No hastle quick perfect sale really. Thanks
20. Ah ok, sounds good. Yeah plane's do expand and contract a fair bit but the engineering is designed to cope with it. But still anyone know of good places to buy woods useable for fingerboard (I'm still thinking ebony)
21. Ah ok, think I'd rather have something more comfortable to play. Yes was thinking of doing an ebony fretboard (possibly) have no idea where I could get this sorta stuff from though, so any help would be apreciated. BUT the only thing I was wondering is that the Allu is gonna expand and contract a hell of a lot more than a chunk of wood would, which might bring some problems. And thanks for that link I'll have a look at it now.
22. I'm fairly new here but am planning another stick bass type project similar to the phaedrus one. I've got hold of a large billet of Duralumin (it's an offcut from part of the Airbus A380 wings) which I'm gonna use for the neck/body. First question there's no paticular reason why the phaedrus bass is parallel across the full instrument rather than the neck gradually tapering other than it being easier for him is there? Thinking I'd prefer the comfort of a more traditional feel neck.
