1. Try the 12th fret instead too.
2. It will be the buffer in the tuner altering the impedance of the signal affecting the sound created by the chorus, some pedals are more fussy than others with things like this.
3.
Does Johnny Shredfreak not make power supplies any more? I got mine for like £12, and picked up a daisy chain and a long figure 8 power cable for another few quid
No they stopped for some reason, someone did tell me but I've completely forgotten. The Diago powerstation is identical with a different label and a larger markup but is the only one now available.
4. If you're after a perforated grill or sheet mesh you're probably best going to a local scrappy and having a root.
5. The issue with them tilted like that would be pressing the footswitches easily, if you can fit it do the stepped but wth the top as a shelf that covers connections etc. of the pedals underneath that will probably give the most space.
6. With the pedalboard case you mentioned you could hide cables underneath, if you really want tidy then go with a solderless set like the George L's or Lavas.
7. You can't insure it for a different value than the declared one. All that previously probably happened was the seller sent it and declared a price and told you what the insurance offers up to not what they would have paid out if lost which is the declared.
8. As far as I can tell it's from Krappy Guitars as they're called! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Au-gh-RkVQw
9. Essentially passive is a lot more likely to colour your tone due to loading effects but it is very hard to know if it will be noticable in your particular setup without trying it. Another thought I just had was this guy http://www.monkeyfx.co.uk/routers.html He at least used to make a pedal called the BlenderTwo which wasn't much more than the Blenderoo (so likely less than an LS-2 plus blender) I'd try sending him an email and see anyway.
10. If it's passive blend loop pedal only then they'd be very straight forward to make if you're comfortable with a soldering iron or someone on here would likely be happy to make you one. Otherwise Bright Onion make one I think.
11. I picked this up Friday and am impressed so far it's a bit glitchy at times and getting my head round the colour coding of the string systems is taking longer than I expected but I could definitely see it being a good learning aid as far as muscle memory mainly is concerned. Find it a lot more fun on a guitar than a bass due to it probably suiting my lack of ability on one though!
12.
Thanks for the suggestions, the Wounded Paw looks a bit much for me, but the Badgereffects one looks perfect. I looked on their website but couldn't see a right lot about ordering. Is there anywhere over here you can get em or are they made to order?
I contacted them at one point and it would likely have to be a direct order by emailing him, think they're then made to order. If I remember correctly they were about £120ish that may have been shipped not sure. A custom UK made one will definitely work out as more than that and otherwise you'd be looking at two LS-2s or an LS-2 and a simple blend pedal.
13. Wounded Paw V3 or the BadgerEffects Schism XV comes to mind if you want all three parallel loops running at once. There probably are others but they're the only two I'm aware of.
14. I have one of these and don't think I could ever get rid of it even just as a back up! Fantastic sounding cabs at silly money when new and even more so second hand!
15. Yeah outer diameter of bantam plugs are 7.6mm so can't be those.
16. You don't need a DC out to use a daisy chain, they usually start with a female jack you just connect to the output of your power supply.
17. It's by Heke-Vertrieb not the PA audio company. If you've found a well made one then it will probably do you extremely well it's just their quality control is all over the place. They were selling these new for £320ish though so that price second hand seems a bit much.
18. For an extra couple of quid I'd pick up the Diago Micropower9 and daisy chain them
19. Never tried an ally one but the early T-40s had Zinc nuts if I remember right and mine's still going strong 32 years on. As for sound differences it's very hard to say without comparing the exact same bass with the different nut materials.
20.
Yeah - if i ever get the time I'll reverse engineer it and build a miniature version!!!
I'd give it a few more months Ashdown are releasing a line of smaller pedals, don't think I'm the only one hoping for a smaller one!
21. I'm sure Shep has already got it in hand, but it probably needs to be isolated to prevent hum. Cheapest would be to stick with the seperate supply but other than that you'll need to find a PSU with isolated outputs that will handle the 400mA it needs.
22. Is the ringing only there when there's a pedal in line?
23. Presume you did mean £110 by this if 50% off their price? Do you have photos of your actual pedal rather than the Bass Direct ones?
24. You'll love us when you actually pick one up though! Expression pedals I wouldn't worry about too much just pick up the Moog EP2, Roland EV-5 or something along those lines.
